You CAN take the red skull. On one of the huge bookshelves, in the hall, on the 2nd floor, there is a green book. If you vacuum it, you will find an electric generator and a locked gate. Shoot the generator with a rail cannon, do a thing (you'll understand what to do). After you do a thing, the gate unlocks. You can get the red skull, go through the gate, and get into the pond room. You can now go to the big door behind the waterfall, and maybe, maybe, size 2 awaits behind it.

Hakita forced merg to be a maid. Now all we need is to see him in a maid outfit.

As a janitor, I am very happy that Hakita decided to add this level, it helps show how really painful it can be to think you're done cleaning and remember that you forgot an entire room.

I love how the game in this secret just tells you: “You’ve made enough mess, I’m done cleaning up after you for the next player. Clean it all. The walls, the ceiling.. I don’t want to see anything left behind!”

I find it funny that Merg never tried to push the litter down the pool drain. Usually I like to credit my discovery of stuff like this due to years of playing puzzle games and getting used to outside the box thinking, but honestly I discovered it because it's exactly what I do while cleaning my kitchen sink irl, and I was surprised that it worked

Hearing people go insane talking to themselves playing this level is always a treat

The way to get the red skull there is through a green book in one of the bookshelves you have to push it with the vacuum cleaner. Also they added a new alternate weapon in 7-2 and there was a secret boss in 7-1 that you missed in your original playthrough

"Agnes Gorge Trail" is a reference to a non-existent ARG to find the Size 2 fish. It's an actual trail in Washington state.

merg, you missed one more thing in the update check the level 7-2 and look for buttons similar to the ones you had to get for the alternative revolver there are also 2 more red variations for the shotgun and nailgun in the shop

35:10 Despite what it may seem, P-2 isn't just enemy spam, that level alone took 6 months to be created and balanced to be difficult and fair, to be honest there are zero enemy encounters in ULTRAKILL that are just enemy spam, every single one of them is meant to challenge you in a unique way, and that counting arena design, enemy placements and hazards. I have played quite a bit of fanmade custom levels, including some pretty bad ones, and lemme tell you, when the creator of the level is just spamming enemies with no purpose, it is really apparent that they don't know what they're doing, each encounter feels meaningless, but no enemy encounter in the official game feels like that, each room and encounter is designed to be fair and still be a new challenge, including the more difficult ones.

The new weapons are absolutely fantastic. The new alternate has damage based on momentum, and it's so fun to just plummet down to the ground and slam on an enemy and get launched back up into the air like it's a pogo stick

The secret mission is just revealing what V1 does in between each level

This video reminded me to finally check out the very first ULTRAKILL video that Merg made, since it was unavailable to me at the time of the upload (and now that I've watched it, I think I know why... It has a section where music was cut out, meaning some copyright BS was involved)

there is away to get the red skull into the area with the waterfall. there is a green book in a bookshelf that can be pushed with the vacuum that then allows you to get the red skull to the waterfall after you suck up all of the ghosts

fun fact: with the new core eject jackhammer, you can hit the core projectile with the hammer and then knock it into a coin so now theres a (another?) way to get homing explosions

I thought taking out your brush and painting the world red was the sole purpose of the violence layer. Not painting it white again 🤪 And also, 38:05 that laugh tho 😳

as a premiere powerwash simulator enjoyer this level was very fun for me but the fact that it’d be literal hell for a lot of people who enjoy ultrakill and hakita probably knew this is even funnier
