The ultrasonic cleaner can work wonders on fuel injectors, carburetors, and all kinds of other stuff. My 2000 GSXR 750 hasn't run this well in a very long time!

Thanks for videos mate! Accidently found your channel. I have K2 600 and was also cleaning fuel pump, injectors etc. It helps when you record it.

Great editing. Your videos look really good. 🙂 My husband recently used pinesol to clean out varnished old fuel in the tank of a SVT Focus. I had no idea it had so many uses. 🤷‍♀️ It’s not just for floors. Or litter boxes.

I like to type a lot ... so bear with me Shane. I have a 1999 Suzuki GSXR 750X that has been stored outside in Canadian winters for the last 10 years or more. I bought the bike in 2010 with 40,000kms on her, right now she has 80,000 kms on her. I don't have a garage, I'm in a townhouse, so ALL the work is done by the local bike shop, but the last few years, I have noticed some stupid things being done to my bike and when I asked the owner, he then told me that "Joe" and "Fred" have left him and he now has 2 very bight 25 year old mechanics ... I'm gone. So, now I'm doing my own work, bought all the tools ...but here is my problem, I have noticed that last year was the FIRST year that the bike was hard to start when cold, it started right from the very first start of last year. Now I have to baby it a bit to get it to start. A bit of chock and then it starts and dies, then it starts and runs for a second and dies and then it runs a bit more an dies and on the 4th attempt, it catches if you play with the throttle a bit, once it's got some heat into the engine, it will start perfectly every time. Now what do you think of this ... I have everything factory on the bike except for a loud muffler...stock sprockets and chain, rims, tires but I CANNOT get that motorcycle over 243 kph for the last 10 years ...the manual's say the bike will do 260 which is 165 miles an hour, but I have never gone over 243 kph ...never. I dont' use my speedometer for speed testing. I have my phone and a dashcam with GPS for monitoring my speed, the bike is ALWAYS registering higher than the true speed. Do you think my problem could be dirty injectors for my loss of top speed and hard starting? Pretend everything has been checked and replaced .. which it has ... brand new spark plugs, properly gapped, new air filter, tires with 36 psi, I only weigh 170 AND I'm wearing a full racing leather suit with boots and a good Shoei helmet. I just though of something ....the last time I watched my mechanic take the tank off to replace the spark plugs, the rubbers were bad going from the RAM air to the Air Box, I wonder if losing air pressure from the SRAD setup might be stealing my top end. That motorcycle will wheelie in first gear once the tank is half empty, it still works well.

80,000 kms on a sport bike motor is a lot. She’s probably getting tired. I’d do a compression test on the motor and see what you come up with. Maybe you’ll get lucky and it only needs a valve adjustment. I had a bike that acted similar and that’s exactly what it ended up needing. Unfortunately there are multiple possibilities that could cause some of the symptoms you describe, including dirty injectors, so you’ll need to start ruling things out. All manufacturers calibrate their speedometers to read higher by default, this is unfortunately normal and applies to cars as well.

I don't think I've ever pulled a clogged injector - they always failed on the resistance test. Bad luck on me.

Yeah, I suspected it was just clogged because it had sat with old gas a few times in life.

How often do you use your bike?
@shanesgettinghandy

Not often enough to prevent the gas from clogging the injectors 🤣
