Follow ups must be done, to rule out any abnormality. Baby is not always abnormal. Many cysts resolve spontaneously, but bilateral and size +4mm can hv slightly higher chances for congenital abnormalities
Nt and double marker test is normal 20weeks anamalay scan seen Bilateral CP cyst present Lateral ventrical size 7.1mm but other parts are good is it problem sir what i do
On 32 week scan a cyst was found in my baby’s brain. The doctor said to come back in 4 weeks for another check. At 36 weeks this cyst was still there at 12 mm. No other markers were found. Can babies be born with the cyst and live with it with no problem?
I am 36 weeks pregnant and now ultrasound shows choroid plexus cyst 2.1x1.7cm I am very worried about this please tell me if there will be any problem after the baby is born
This is little larger cyst. There may be some other possibilities. Possibly it will not give problem to baby. Follow up should be cranial ultrasound after delivery.
My age 32. 20 week pregnant. Trisomy 21= 1:6958, Trisomy 18= 1:1572, Trisomy 13= 1:3494. Nuchal tranculancy 0.7 mm All things are normal but in anomaly scan report small choroid plexus cysts are seen. One (8mm) in right lateral ventricle and one (6mm) in left lateral ventricle of fetal brain. I am very very tensed for this. Please help me how to resolve it. Is there are any problem in future. Is my baby spend a normal life in future. Please help me.
This can resolve spontaneously, usually no harm to baby. But these are bilateral and are slightly bigger , sometimes can be associated with other congenital abnormalities, so good follow ups are required to rule out other complications.
@kashifultrasound Doctor, I had an ultrasound examination today, there are cysts on both sides of the neck of the fetus, the thickness of the nape is normal, it came out normal in the 2nd test, will these cysts cause a problem?
@Fatim-rr8md this may be cystic hygroma. there may be some other causes. some are associated with other congenital syndromes. follow up scan should be at 17th wks , for final decision of continuation or termination of pregnancy, yr gynecologist will suggest u.
12mm and 10 mm are large , Less than 5 mm , if 1 or 2 can be resolved spontaneously. These Large sizes should be evaluated further for other congenital abnormalities.
what if both choroid plexus cysts and bilateral mild prominence renal pelvis are present in 20 weeks present. i am so worried. i got nt scan and dual markers normal. please reply if this problem is resolved
Follow up Scans are important. U hv missed the most important scan of nuchal translucency from 11 to 14 wks. Now 7th month scan is needed , and carefully evalaute for any decrease in limbs more than 2 wks , and any other abnormalities. Hope this will resolve wih time without any association. These are minor markers.
We went for Anolomy scan on 20th week and 2 soft markers observed. One left choroid cyst measuring 5.3*3.4mm & echogenic small bowel grade-1. Rest of the anolomy scan is good. We are so worry about this. Could you check this these 2 markers are dangerous to baby
These are minor markers. Not always diagnostic for abnormalities. Nuchal translucency scan at 11…14 wks is most important and diagnostic scan. Now follow up scans are important, especially for limb growth, at 7 months scan , bowel grade 1 echgenecity is not specific. Small isolated ch pl cysts can resolve spontaneously without any harm. So hope every thing will be ok.
Hlo sir mam 37 weeks pregnant meri ultrasound report m is bar 1.8cm ×1.3 cm ki archnoid cyst coursing above internal cerebral vein.likely cavum veli interpositi cyst.likha h mam next week delivery h or phle ultrasound m kbi kgh nhi aya kya yeh mere baby m koi problem ko show krta h kya .plz answer mam.
These Small cysts hv good outcome , and not cause problems. However if size increases or hv internal bleed , it may cause symptoms , and requires followup and treatment
