Of course sons are blessings too. Every baby is a blessing from God. But we must change our mindset now.. Daughters are both nurturers as well as providers for sons and daughters alike, these days.. It equally applies to sons. However, from personal experience, I can attest to the fact that fathers share the purest form of love with their daughters. Their relationship is made in heaven.
I still remember the day when my doctor did the ultrasound on me for the first time after my pregnancy test came out positive. He showed me the screen and told me "here is your baby". Most memorable day in my life, though it was so tiny, but I started to feel my baby from that day.

Thats not always accurate. I argued with my Doctor I kept telling him the baby was going to be a boy and he says the sonogram shows a girl I said your wrong. To bad he past away to see that he was wrong now my son is 30 and is in the Navy Reserves.
Knowing gender is not sin. Terminating pregnancy because of gender is sin. In other countries people get to know gender before only but there's no discrimination. But even after so many years lakhs of people in India still want only boy baby. So we can't remove this law until people change their thinking
