@@TheIndieGamer Not many and not much. I played Prehistoric Dude, SteamWorld Dig and Seasons after Fall. I really enjoy starting these games but they lose me pretty quickly and I can't put my finger on the Why. There are a few more on my to-play-list like Hollow Night, Blasphemous, Grime - and now Ultros ;) Maybe one of those can hook me better xD Have a great start into the new week =)
@@mikekarman6026 The beauty of a metroidvania is the immersive sense of discovery, that really unfolds more and more the further you progress. Nice picks there, id definitely recommend Hollow Knight as a must play, as well as ULTROS, Ender Lilies, the Ori games, and many more that I could recommend too lol. Ultros is a good entry, Hollow Knight is a must play too, but less forgiving. But generally speaking, id recommend giving them some time to open up the world, as the game design only becomes more and more immersive thee most you get into them. I want to play this but will have to wait until I get my hands on a ps5 as I want it physically, the roguelike genre isn’t my cup of tea so glad it doesn’t lean too much into that.
Yeah, it’s definitely a metroidvania through and through. Just keep those memory lock pickups topped up so u can lock in abilities throughout, I found by exploring to find plenty of the memory locks, I was able to lock in pretty much every ability I wanted.
