In this video, we explore Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Valley of the Winds, and Kings Canyon, Northern Territory, Australia. Uluru, or Ayers Rock, is a Unesco site hidden away in the desert in the red centre of Australia. It may not seem like it from photos, but Uluru stretches up to about 348 metres - making it taller than the Eiffel Tower! Given the remoteness, it sometimes over looked but when you see the sunrise and sunset on this landscape it may just take your breath away! There are plenty of great hikes and aboriginal culture to learn about too. If you haven't seen our other Australia videos make sure you check those out alongside our other itineraries - scroll down for the written itinerary of this video.
The Out of Office Traveller channel showcases travel guides for working professionals that love to travel and want to maximise their limited time off, by giving first hand tips and advice for amazing travel destinations. Every summer gets the summer lightning storms in Uluru Ayers Rock in the Australia’s Northern Territory and very beautiful to watch when it rains during the monsoon season. Lightning storms are very fascinating in the outback and please be careful do not swim or hike during the summer thunderstorms when lightning strikes and the water conducts electricity. People can watch the summer thunderstorms with a lot of cloud to ground lightning strikes and the heavy rain falling and wear the rain gear and also the umbrellas to protect from the rain outside. Most thunderstorms come in November to March during the summer monsoon season and most rains fall in the summer in Uluru- Kata- Tjuta and walk along the desert. Bring lots of water with you while you are hiking. I loved to watch the summer lightning storms and I love lightning ⛈️ and it is fun to watch in the sky.

Wow, this is really interesting! We went in the Spring (around Sept/Oct) so missed the summer season and any of the storms, but it sounds fascinating.
