So so great! Everything perfect! Lyric, arrangement, and of course the voice! Just as great now as it was than. Just wonderful. Only sad thing about it, not enough people heard it to give it the exposure and applaud it deserves.
Ted is definetely one of the greatest voices ever.....I was 10 when i first saw him in Jesus Christ Superstar, 1973.....emotions, sweet memories....greeting from Venice, Italy
I think this is one of the most amazing and exciting voices of our planet. Ted's voice penetrates into the depths of the soul and makes it to her that - something incredible, then it is impossible to live as before. Last gesture with his right hand - crazy!
I was there for this. It was filmed at the Palace of the Preforming Arts in L.A. Met the band at TASCO sound studio in Hollywood. Went there to set up some backwall for Alice Cooper who had the next soundstage over. Had a great time, this was their Media Party. Dustan Hoffman was there Ian Hoffman "the drummer" is his brother. Brings back memories. Thanks for putting it up.
Lauren Sinz I'm a musician my self, your brother is an amazing drummer and the guys in A440 is fantastic. It's completely beyond my comprehension why this project didn't lead to anything. Maybe it was a bit to technically progressive at the time. Ted is such an amazing singer and this is one of my top five songs of all time.
Lauren Sinz I wish the truth was a simple as you've stated. Unfortunately you are wrong. I won't say why for fear of a lawsuit, but Ian & I know the truth!
this song should have been a hit in the '70s. too bad it's shrouded in obscurity. I'm sure Jesus really nails it when he sings it in karaoke bars in the sky.
Is there any way of getting a copy of the entire concert? I have been a big fan of Ulysses forever! The music is so great and Ted Neeley's voice is amazing. I have love him since Jesus Christ Superstar. Please say there is a way to get a cop of this concert.🥰
I have the entire live performance on DVD. It's currently out of stock at www.cdbaby.com They are back ordered from the disc maker, but will be back in stock soon. The studio double album is in stock. Go to www.cdbaby.com & search for Ulysses The Concert Ted Neeley.
@originalkillerguitar Wasn't sure if you'd remember.. If your wife has incredable green eyes then maybe it was the same girl. That's what I remember most about her.. I dunno if you ever see or talk to Greg anymore but if you do please tell him thanks for letting us into the sound studio that day for me.. I haven't forgotten. :)
@originalkillerguitar hehe Carlos how ya been over all these years? Yup we've met. First at TASCO then the next day after the event when you brought that girl (can't think of her name) back to my ex-wifes mothers house.. Remember that? hehe You're actually the one who got me into the event. Called like you said you would and said give me give me a bunch of names which I did. Showed up with like 8 girls with me counting my ex.. Good times!! Hope all's well with you.. You rock buddy..
Wow, Ok my bad. Wasn't Dustin Hoffman there though? I seem to distinctly remember the MC pointing him and a few other VIPs out. He stood up in the spotlight dressed in a white suit and had a long legged woman under each arm, Sorry for making the assumption, I could see a resemblance between the two of you. And oh yeah I really enjoyed the show a lot you guys put on one hell of a show. Question: Wasn't Midnight Special there tapping the show? I'd like to see it in it's entirety again. Be Well.
