@@ThatOneEpicMemeLordin the EU and JP version, PJ eats a banana and puts its peel on the ground, then Lammy slips on it, dies, and goes to hell I don't know who the second one is though
Young Parappa If you ask me " Another MAN to join my dish " makes more sense then devil. I mean, there's not a second or third or fourth lucifer, thank the lord
The difference here is that "The angel's been very mean to me, that's for sure!" and "If I could have another wish, I want the devil to join my next dish!" were altered in the USA version, because, as you could imagine, having these lyrics in the USA would make the self-proclaimed "Moral Guardians" flip out and call this game Satanist.
Damn, kind of late to make a reply, y'know? I understand your main concern, but to tell the truth, I cannot explain the censorship in terms of cutting down trees. Sure, it could've been something about hippies; however, the United States was probably in a time where they took conservation seriously (NOT BECAUSE OF HIPPIES). Perhaps there was a conservationalist (I don't really give a flying f*** about the red line underneath the aforementioned word, it's the correct spelling) that was involved with the team that compiled the game's lyrics, and because of their biased point of view, they censored it.
We went from Parappa singing in Hell against demon idol, to Parappa singing against CHINESE Noodle boy. Both games are amazing, but it's interesting to see how they went a bit darker with this one. The piano notes give me real creeps, Lammy's version looks HAPPY compared to this.
I know. Its creepy as hell. Somebody come rescue me quick or I'm gonna be the angels next pick and I want a devil to join my dish and the angels been mean to me for sure and like a child up above. Did parappa die?
the first time i heard her voice as Lammy it sound very Gay, but i got some experience, i hate her cause is medium imposible maintain Good, so i think i can Get cool or maintain in good if i try to go to awful apropose but with style
@@evssssok I actually have a whole headcanon story based off a few of the lyrics of both versions, but y'all'd think it'd be a ridiculous idea, so I ain't telling it
I think the U.S. version says, "I want a man to join my next dish" instead of "the devil", because the U.S. version censors out the lyrics referring to the devil. Also, the U.S. version says, "My friend's been mean to me" instead of "The angel's been mean to me", but you get your point.
Euro version: PJ Kills Lammy and PaRappa because he wanted a game too. US version: Lammy gets the most painful wedgie in existence and PJ hits PaRappa with the guitar so hard, he flies to an island.
Look it up. In the Japanese version she was singing about the devil and Angel rape. Lammy also died instead of being flinged to an island. Lammy ran out of the store after getting her new guitar and she fell and broke her neck.
Tea Tea well actually, if you look it up, the versions are different from each other. parappatherapper.wikia.com/wiki/Stage_6:_Taste_Of_Teriyaki this should give all the differences the japanese version had with the US version
the fact that the first time i played this level, i had a really hard time with this. combine that fact with this music and it really felt like a final boss battle or something
I passed lammys version first try, i dont know how but i managed to complete it without getting bad i think parappas version was painful i still havent beaten it
"Stayin' close in the fire" "Non-stop and Neverending" Hmmmm sounds like the concept of Hell Staying close in the fire that is non-stop and neverending
The parts where they say the angels going to hurt me and the devil join her next dish were changed in the north america verison of the game. Because it's a religion reference kinda like where they change to line where guru ant say "Am the Lord everybody know my name" then it got changed to "Am the man everybody knows my name".
This is probably the only stage in the game in which I prefer Parappa's version. (Musically speaking.) This and Noodles Can't Be Beat are definitely my favorite of Parappa's songs.
@poptots i have zero idea why i made this comment oh my god . im still christian but i dont know why it was needed. think it was about how you dont go to hell in the American release
If there's an instrumental to this song, PLEASE GIVE ME A LINK TO IT!! I'm trying to find it but I never found any instrumental to the songs to um jammer lammy. :(
You can probably find a version without Parappa's voice in it, but Yoko's voice is in the actual track, so the only way you can get an instrumental is to make one.
I was able to obtain the instrumentals. I recorded the "Cool Mode" audio from the special menu. Used it for my fangame(You can view it on my channel). If you're still interested, I could give you the .mp3.
