In this video we head out into the remote mountains to spend time with the New Umarex Komplete NCR in .22 caliber. This New offering from Umarex is the first of its kind using proprietary nitrogen filled 3600psi bottles as an air source. The Umarex Komplete NCR is a lightweight, regulated, sidelever PCP Airgun. We go over the details of the Komplete NCR and use it in the field to go after large Jackrabbits. This most rugged location is the perfect place to start testing the Komplete NCR that we will ultimately showcase with a full review. We discuss the price, some of the esthetic performance, and as always give our honest, real-world experience out in the field.

For the occasional hunter, without the equipment for a pcp, this is a very good rifle. Spend around 50 bucks a year and have plenty of shots for hunting season.

Great video, love seeing Marley, the terrain is beautiful! The rifle looks nice, but I don’t know about $25 for 2 fills. But I see what you’re saying pop a couple in your pack, no pump or compressor.

@shanepitzer4126 4 месяца назад
I like the concept, but at roughly 28-30 cents a pop just for propellant, plus 3-4 cents for a pellet, it just doesn't add up in direct comparison to rimfire options. Enjoyed the review/hunt vid, thanks for sharing!

LOL…Just saw your comment. Yeah, you’ll have roughly 100-150 pellets left, but you’re looking at about .66 a shot.
@MountainSportAirguns
@MountainSportAirguns 2 месяца назад
Most people won't be shooting a rimfire in the backyard so the comparison isn't really very logical. Personally I think Umarex marketed this incorrectly considering the gun functions just fine off CO2 that's considerably more affordable and efficient with shot count. Why they decided to tell me it wouldn't use CO2 is a little confusing. Yet to receive anymore nitro cartridges, I will be purchasing more myself so I can create an actual real review of this thing. It shoots well but I think they lost a ton of potential buyers due to poor marketing decision.

Great video Dana! That gun is cool in a way that a new person could get into the scene for not a lot of money. It looks like it has enough power to take small game. It would be interesting to see some chronograph numbers and the accuracy of some different pellets. Looks like you and Marley had a great time. That's some beautiful country you were camping in. Safe travels to you guys. Looking forward to the next adventure!

I think the concept is awesome, and I like it as a take along option when out with the big bores. For avid shooters, its going to be too expensive. It sounds like @umarexair is listening about the bottle conversion option. Whether they do or not, I suspect they will start showing up. Thanks for the foeld test, looks like a solid little gun.

Very good video and this gun does interest me I seen one in a TSC store the other day so I shot a picture of it and doing a little research and I don't think that for say those two tanks getting maybe 90 shots with it wouldn't be too bad even small rifle ammunition is pretty expensive now I mean even 22s are pretty pretty pricey compared to what they once was because I'm almost 75 years old I don't know what things have changed in the last 40 years a good video and I do like the gun I don't have one yet but I think I will get one

Great showcase of this airgun. Looks like my old RWS 850 converted to a high pressure airgun. The only issues with this airgun are air cartridge availablity. II see out of stock issues then your airgun is use less. Next is the bleed off screw. Folks will lose the Allen key or strip out the threads from repeatedly over thightening of the screw. Next I will say it someone will try to modify the air cartridge and install a Foster fitting and will get seriously hurt. It looks like a nice airgun but I will have to pass on this one.

Great video as always on the komplet. Im avid air rifle rabbit hunter. It would have been nice to see you with more bottles. I got my umarex gauntlet .25 cal and my gauntlet 2 in .25 cal also and a notos very nice compressor. I have see that you can pay one price and shoot for life unless you run out of pellets. And save yourself a lot of money. Instead of buying bottles after bottles. So far the komplete looks pretty nice (looks).

Another GREAT REVIEW. I've been looking for a PCP but up until now I was put off by All the gear needed. Several years ago there was a pump up PCP that looked promising but unfortunately it wasn't ready for prime time. I almost can't believe the price point of this gun given its accuracy & that it's regulated. Time to go pick one up. Thanks Again for another great review & it's good to see Marley out there on the hunt with you.

I also saw that it is a regulated air rifle. It's just a short matter of time before one of our tinkering airunners. Come up with a way or two to put a new regulator on it and a true bottle on it. Someone like hajimoto productions him and his company are wizards with umarex air rifles. It's coming. Someone is going to pop up with a komplete. With a different regulator and a single bottle. can't wait

🤠Great product, a concept on the right direction for air rifles. It would be nice to have: 1. More power for .25 and .30 cal. 2. A compact take apart for a small backpack AR version... like the: "Snowpeak CP2", AEA HP MAX, BINTAC T9, EDGUN LESHIY, etc. It seems different brands are catching on to the compact PCP market and Humarex definitely has a market edge with a rechargeable cartridge option that eliminate the need for a compressor... you can’t put in a backpack or plug to a tree. 😂😂😂 Definitely the way to go. I am going to get one and experiment cutting the stock and figuring out how to put a folding one, since there are many folding stock models available. I look forward to a more powerful cartridge model: 4000 or 4500 PSI.

I think I agree with you. Too expensive if you want to shoot very much. What would you think of an arrow launcher version for folks that hunt deer in cold weather and wouldn't actually shoot the gun all that much in the off season?

Still on the fence about this gun. I have the Fusion. Did a few mods on it, and it’s a great little gun. But figure $25 for the cartridges, $10-20 for shipping, and $15 for a tin of good pellets, and you’re looking at (using 90 rounds as a shot count), I think I got my math right, about .66 a shot (granted you’ll still have over 100-150 pellets left).
@MountainSportAirguns
@MountainSportAirguns 2 месяца назад
Not sure why Umarex didn't disclose the fact this gun will accept CO2, a bit of a marketing blunder.
@visamedic
@visamedic 2 месяца назад
@@MountainSportAirguns Sorry, I was meaning the cost vrs any oy my other PCPs. IF this accepted CO2 it wouldn’t perform nearly as well because it would be way below the reg pressure. I believe CO2 kinda self regulates at about 800psi. I think one of the videos o watched after yours said that this was regulated at 2800 psi. So the nitrogen pods are well over 3000 psi for a shot count of 45 at regulated pressure. I was wondering g if you could use one of those CO2 pod savers they sell for having the ability to connect and disconnect the NTG bottle. Might be too much pressure 🧐

Is it safe to leave the nitro cartridge on the gun when it's not totally empty yet, or it will start to leak and loose power in a matter of days? We own mostly brake barrel air rifles and have them handy to shoot at backyard critters when they show up. But we're not getting younger and wonder if this rifle would be a good fit for us. Thank you!
@MountainSportAirguns
@MountainSportAirguns 5 дней назад
Yes it's typically not a problem, unfortunately due to the nature orings do fail...things happen and eventually they all might need service. The gun does come with extra orings in that event.

Umarex on FB just blocked me because I told them the truth about the cost of shooting the Komplete and the lack of support from the airgun community for this, IMO, mistake. It reminds me of the Daisy caseless ammo disaster in the 1970s. Umarex, you can block me, but that doesn't change the reality of the excessive cost of shooting your black plastic gun. A .22 LR rimfire would be better in every way.

Definitely not, way to loud. Personally I have no need for anything like this, it's a shame they didn't market the gun as being able to use Co2, I specifically asked if it would and they said no. I tried it just for the heck of it and sure enough it shoots great with Co2 and is way cheaper than those nitrogen cartridges. Strange they would try hiding that from me.

That rifle would be nice if you can screw a pcp bottle in front of 250 or 300 bar and stop using those subscription cans.
@NMLongshot
@NMLongshot 17 часов назад
"I was pretty limited in what I could do, only having two of those nitrogen cartridges." And there is the issue. Umarex is looking to make profit, not off of a solid rifle, but off of disposable air cartridges. This follows the model of many home printers, in which the printer is almost given away, and the profit is made on the cartridge. For someone who isn't a shooter, and wants a novelty plinker, this might be ok for them. I don't trust the rifle to age well and to be able to hold pressure such that it could be used sporadically. Umarex already has a bad reputation for customer service. They don't have replacement parts available in the US for one of their popular PCP rifles... the Zelos. Not even an o-ring kit. The portable cylinder benefit is not unique to this rifle. We can get a spare tube for our PCP guns. Umarex is missing out on solid service by supporting their existing customer base, and is only trying to make profit on what is a novelty gun. I shoot, and I shoot a lot. This is not a good solution for anyone who is a serious shooter. Hey Umarex... help us out (and yourself) by making parts available to your end users.
