I purchased mine last November and it's not only fun to shoot but it's also a very effective invasive species tool. This is by far the best full auto BB gun made. It combines a realistic historical look with a very respectable accuracy and power. If I couldn't buy another, I wouldn't take $1000 for mine.
On the other hand in the past few days I've watched reviews where the guys were mumbling a bit or the volume was very low or muffled on their microphones and I couldn't hear then very well which caused me to quit the videos. His presentation style is unique, I'll give him that but I'd rather that I can hear and understand him so it's all OK with me. He gives us a lot of info. It's fine.
People often ask me if they make a circular magazine for this air rifle. The M1A1 is the military version of the Thompson Submachine Gun and was only designed for a stick magazine.
I wonder if they're going to come out with a round drum mag? I own the R1 and I love it, better to me than the DPMS since I've been able to upgrade more parts with real steel parts including the stock I also like that the magazine you can use one CO2 or two if you choose. I have to say I've really been eyeballing the shell ejecting lever action although this is an excellent copy as well as the MP40. Great video, shoot safe and keep up the good work.
Am seriously thinking about getting one of these but unfortunately here in the UK it's semi auto only but still fun if you can pull the trigger fast enough...
Right, this air rifle is the "military" version and not the signature "Tommy Gun" of organized crime. The M1A1 Thompson Machine gun firearm was not designed to use the rotary magazine of the 1921.
@@rustbeltairgun8718 I just bought this gun. I was thinking the stock was going to feel like hollow plastic, feels like solid wood. You have to examine it hard to determine its not wood.
Looks very well made and a ton of fun. Sounds like it is kinda loud for a CO2 gun. (a good thing in my book! hahaha ) Great review as always! Perfectly done!
The M1A1 requires two 12 Gram CO2 Cartridges as its PowerPlant. Through testing, I have determined that you can get 210 shots, in full auto mode, before the CO2 gets low enough where it does not fire. Reloading the 30 round magazine seven times equates to 210 shots.

This one shoots way too fast in full auto in my opinion. I wish the bolt was a bit heavier to slow down the rate of fire, even if it does reduce the number of shots per CO2.
Love this gun but sure wish they had told me you need the RWS lube to even load the gun! I was ready to try my gun for the first time and saw this in the instructions. I had to order the lube and lost a week of shooting....BAD Umarex! Why not let the buyer know ahead of time or better yet place a tiny packet of oil in with the wrench? If it weren't for this crap, I would have given the gun 5 stars plus.
I wish I could have tested its range farther. I have limited space in my garage (25 feet) and am afraid to take such a "life-like" air rifle into my back yard in "suburbia".
@@rustbeltairgun8718 Yeh...swat team will be swarming your house and you will be on the 6 oclock news. When I was a kid we shot BB guns in front and backyard of our house. In the late 60s our father took us to a public park to set up soda cans to shoot. Nobody gave a sh!t back then because we never heard about crazy assed mass shootings and everything was mellow. Other people in the park paid no attention to us and everyone just did their own thing.
Jesus what is this 1200 rounds a minute? they should have clocked this at 700 like the real deal. full auto sounds completely unauthentic and way over clocked
