So, I want to get a sidearm for paintball and am unsure of what to go for. Between fsc, or this mp9 marker which would you recommend? I know the pros and cons of each and I have a personal preference on appearance (the mp9 for me because I have the real steel with great holster), but I also want go consider reliability, and field allowance.

With your preferences and knowledge we would go with the Umarex no doubt. Field allowance you would have to ask around in your area or check with the filed owners as it varies. The FSC packs more punch with the .68 cal but the realism, 1:1 scale and the fact you already have a real one makes the M&P9 a clear recommendation from us. We've had no reliability issues so far with either of our .43's. But as always, make sure to get quality paint and Co2 Cartridges.
