I want to get one of these,I started off researching the Byrna and it's very costly. This one caught my eye aesthetics and price wise but, how are you supposed to EDC this if the cartridges don't last?
As someone who is now living in the USA i would highly recommend this PPQ. But go for the M2 (2nd Gen) I use a mix of Pepperball and rubber-steel mix balls 4 of each starting with the pepper all as the first shot out of the Device. And it works big time a Guy tried to break into my Garage and I managed to get a couple of shots off, They hit him in the chest with the pepperball and it was game over he laid on the ground coughing and crying like a little bitch…this this works brilliantly as a Home defense system. and its much cheaper than the $450 dollar equivalent. I love this Device
Great review! I absolutely love mine. Good ammo options and because it's a licensed replica it works with most 9 mil holsters. You can adjust the sights, but mine is accurate out of the box. I wouldn't want to be a target of this marker. I watched some guy taken down by it....it drew blood and left him with awful welts. He was wearing only a cotton shirt. Anyway, it's incredible fun.
Excellent review - very informative - I obtained this gun from MCS last week - the service I received from MCS was equally excellent. I am not a paint ball person, I'm more of a replica collector and as such I felt that this was closer a version of the real steel weapon than the PPQ M2 pellet gun that was recently released, as the T4E version has the lock back after last shot capability unlike the pellet gun. I also like the range of ammo that you can fire, I've seen a review by AAR where he test fires the Glock T4E using paint balls, rubber balls and dust balls, the dust balls looked like they would be great fun to shoot as they appear to explode on impact. Cheers Andy
I've purchased the T4E HK VP9 AND G17GEN5 from amazon. Their glock is the most expensive one over 325$ usd and taxes. I recently ordered this gun but the blue one from that website as well because it comes with a free mag for only 10 dollars more no brainer however I rather have the tan black color or I've seen the black slide and grey body in UK videos. I wish usa had that. Oh well and I bought 2 more magazines each for my vp9 and my g17gen 5 and 1 for my incoming ppq2m2 so in total I have 3 total magazines per gun woot!!!? Adding a plate for the g17g5 is so hard especially ddp brand to put on a red dot sight after I literally using all my strength with a punch to slide in the plate and it won't budge I got it in 80 percent but now I'm tryna refund it because if it'd that hard to put on imagine how hard to remove it....
I have a. Umerex Smith & Wesson 43 Cal and have a supply of 10.9mm steel ball bearings. Good for home protection at close range. The balls won’t travel far so ideally within 5/7 metres. Bought some coconuts and wrapped in clingfilm and filled it with holes. Wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end.
To be honest this is a very effective home defense pistol, unload 8 rounds of pepper ammo on his face and the intruder will cry his eyes out for a couple of hours. You could also set the first 3 or 4 shots as pepper ammo and then alternate one rubber covered steel ammo with another pepper one. That's because for the pepper to start having full effect it takes a couple of seconds, and if you hit the intruder with different projectiles you are also using physical pain and confusion as deterrents.
@anothaview And I don't live in the USA, but I know that some states like California have absurd rules about guns. But I honestly think that they are the logical consequences for a such wide-spread GUNoholic culture. In Europe there is no such thing and you can still own a gun if you really want and need to. And there are no mass shootings or other incidents like those, so of course some crazy people that don't even understand firearms is putting up in place some crazy laws.
@@quattro5958 LOL did you LOL even LOL read LOL my comment? (LOL). I'm not really searching a way to inflict serious pain, I use pepperballs and aim for the chest/face. The anti-riot rounds are just to confuse the aggressor for the literal two seconds that it takes for the pepper to get into his mouth, eyes, nose and face in general. But trust me, you can defenetly feel this rounds hitting you even with a hoodie and a t-shirt. But still, Iwouldn't base the whole strategy on that kind of stopping power, but it's very effective if used correctly. Also, the first strike pistol is unreliable and has a lot of problems that could get in the way of it being useful in this kind of situation. This pistol has mags with a button in order puncture the co2 cartridge 100% of the times without any leaking problems. And to be completely honest this would be my secondary, as a primary I have both the SG68 shotgun and the Tm4 for a full auto action.
@@YDCFF_ Ebay sells both aluminum and steel. I ordered the aluminum. Look: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-95DuQirJF7k.html&ab_channel=OurRanchAirGunFunChannel
5:43 real PPQ mags are also expensive! As are FN, HK and SIG. If Mec-Gar in italy makes the OEM magazines for a firearm, they don't produce 3nd party lower cost versions.
Which non lethal pistol / pepper ball or similar would You recommend for HOME DEFENSE AND CONCEALED CARRY = Self Defense? Great Review.. Tks for sharing Your knowledge
The M1 version has a paddle style mag release and the M2 version has a thumb button mag release. The M1 version was more successful with the European consumers, whereas the M2 version was adopted for the American market.
You can also set the mag release button on either side of the pistol, too, which I think is something only the PPQ does. Slide a pepper-spray ball in that bad boy and you’ve got some home defense capability for sure
It's pretty in dark earth. But mine I insists on spitting a few balls out dhe barrel after due shot. Bad detents I think. Also have the Glock .43. I have not had a singal problem with it.
Quick question. My C02 leaks out and goes dead in just a few minutes. I'm thinking I may have lost an o ring at the puncture point? Thoughts? Thanks. mg
Ebay sells riot balls in hard plastic. They also have them in solid aluminum and steel. I just ordered the aluminum. I think the steel may be too heavy. This guy took 2 rubber balls to the chest at long range. Imagine 8 aluminum at close range to the face. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FQyB7eF4Rkw.html&ab_channel=Lu
With the right kind of ammo, it could be use for home self defense. You could use steel balls, or rubber coated steel balls. Or, even nylon rounds. I don't know how hot your ppq is shooting at? But mine is shooting above 450/500 fps. With glass balls, it packs quite a punch. Of course, your fps will.be reduce With heavier rounds.
@@ModernIntel I mainly use mine for target practice, and possibly home defense. And yes, it is shooting really hot. My guess is because mine is the official training version for police? It has the blue metal slide.
why in the uk do they range from 183 to 350 the same pistol , also the intruder thing in the uk , hes carrying a knife has almost deffinately got a record for burglery and known to the police !!! get an xl bully probably cost you the price of a ppq in food every week , be resourcefull
I'm thinking about getting into paintball, Sheffield area. Will the painball places allow me to use this pistol or other Umarex stuff? I've checked with some shooting ranges and they won't allow anything other than poxy pellets...Can anyone suggest a range anywhere that allows rubber ball Umarex stuff?
it depends on whether they allow walk ons (brining your own kit, some do some dont) Give them a call and ask. We know some gun clubs switched to these in lock down because the restrictions meant they couldn't meet safety laws revolving around real firearms, a lot of them still use them.
I know they market this as home defense but I simply can’t see using it for that. Nothing under 9MM imo. Otherwise you risk just pissing off an assailant. And one that’s drugged up isn’t gonna feel that at all
Weapons such as these can still be good options for felons and others who may not be able to possess traditional firearms, so they do have a purpose for defense use.
