UMC202HD How To - First Recording 

Just purchased the product. This video was helpful in that I was able to set up everything in just a few minutes. I just wanna remind you guys that not only musicians use your products, but also podcasters, RU-vidrs, streamers and other content creators ;)

I use this with Windows 10 and in fl studio 20. It works great! I have no problems with my mic. What you can do to fix this problem with your guitar is. 1 record it stereo with a stereo effect, make sure the vst/ effect is in the same channel as you recording in. 2 record mono and copy it 2 times and pan one left / right. Its little bit more work but that's what you can do. Im no expert but i hope it helps.

Hi. Im having trouble with the connecting and recording process. Ive plugged it in multiple ways and tried many different settings. Im using Adobe Audition. Everything works up to the point I try to put the feed through audition.

Hello there, Can I plug a mic and Digital piano together on this Interface using the direct monitoring switch, the idea it to use it has a mixer as well, because all I need is 2 inputs...will this USB powered device operate 2 connections without any issues secondly can I use a mobile charger to just power this device, just in case I do not want to record every time.

When I plug my headphones into the headphone jack only the direct monitor comes through and I don’t get any sound from the computer. I’ve set the output to the interface but I don’t get any computer audio help

That direct monitoring sounds nice but I have the same card and whenever i'm recording a microphone, I can only listen to myself (via direct monitor) through one ear. For example: If my mic is connected to the left input, i'm only able to direct monitor the sound through my left earbud. Is there any way to fix it?

Does the UMC204HD or 404HD have 2 digital outputs that show up in my daw? Like in FL Studio will I be able to choose which output I want? For example with a Scarlett 2i4 I can choose one of two outputs. Just wondering because of the a/b monitor switch

Hi, Phil. Enjoying your tutorials. Just bought my first Behringer UMC202HD. I am doing mostly podcasts and zoom. I'm recording to Audacity for podcasts and directly with Zoo. My problem is that even though to me I hear my voice clearly when recording, on playback I can barely hear my voice through my headphones and the people I am talking with on the other end can just barely hear me. Why is the playback volume almost non-existent? I do have Phantom power on.

"insert" is to make work of "send & return" within a DAW ?

I am a new of the UMC204HD and when I speak to input 1, the audio is heard in the left channel only,input 2 is heard in the right channel only. Is this by design? Can this be changed to mono settings?

when i push direct monitor the main volume is lowered. is this normal? test - playing a song with headphones.. push direct monitor button.. song becomes quieter.. turn direct monitor off.. song becomes louder again. is this normal?

when iam mixing in cubase with this sound interface my sound is really low even with the volume knob on max. and volume at 50% on my m-audio speakers. why is that can you tell me what can i do in order to improve the volume of my sound? thanks

i use 2 Boya M1 clip on mic, plug in both, left channel with boya input channel 1, only hear left in headphone, and right channel with boya input channel 2, only hear right in headphone, sound like mono or pan one side even pan already on the middle, any suggestion for fix it ? but if i only use one mic in one input channel, its hear stereo, i use garageband

What is the latency of the interface?

im doing everything here exactly but my laptop keeps recording from the laptop microphone, all my audio connections are set up perfectly for this di box and i have my guitar plugged into it, what am i missing?

I have no audio on the stereo outputs. I get good levels and can even clip the light, but no output. Any ideas? Thanks.

I don't know how it works with everybody else who use this Audio Interface. It's a good product but my problem with it is that, when I plugged the microphone or instrument in any of the two inputs, say in Input 1, the sound only comes from the left side , and if I connect in Input 2, the sound would only comes from the right side. But after recording, the playback sound would come to the centre.

Is this fully class compliant? Just to make sure for using it with an Ipad :)

Can I feed stereo signal to my monitors from my PC using only the USB connection on the UMC202HD and thus eliminate my on-board soundcard? Can I also record at the same time?

Hi, On this unit how can I direct monitor? if the music is prerecorded in track one of the DAW and I am (singing) recording in track two while track one is playing? In this the direct monitor gives the recording sound only? or there is a way to get playing track sound as well? Thanks

I have the UMC202HD, and when I plug in my BOYA M1 Lavalier mic into input 1, it only records on the left channel. Does this unit not recognize the microphone being a 2 channel microphone that should record on both channels? Am I doing something wrong? My final production software is Adobe Auditions... please help!

Just purchased Uphoria, spent an entire night setting it up to work with Amp software for guitars, yet i cant get it done, I hear the clean guitar sound on the background and guitar effects above that have no affection on the sound, please could you tell me how to set up software so that PC works as amps + pedals for my guitar, I've watched tons of videos and none of them are helpful!

I have a question. If I use a headphone amp for the talent will the direct monitoring work for it also? I have the 404HD. Will I have to connect it to the main outs or can I use the A or B output? Sorry, I know that's more than one question. :)

Hello Phil G. Say uh I'm using my Windows 10 i7 Hp PC my Behringer UMC-202 and Acid Pro #9 . All my gear is new as of September 2019. I can't pick my Behringer 202 - as my Sony Acid Pro 9 makes me just use Asio4all. And if I pick my Behringer 202 my pc goes into silent mode... Anyway to fix this???

Dear Sirs...recently bought UM2 but when i hear the recorded voice on headphone it is heard as properly as recorded but when i listen it on computer the voice is heard as damp/or not as professional /less amplified why ? what i can do to listen it to hear it as professionally recorded ?

Hi there i just purchased this interface a few days ago and im having an issue with my direct monitoring. issue being i can only hear out of the left earbud. Ive looked all around the hardware itself and i cant seem to find a switch or anything. Im using a macbook pro with garageband and im ready to pull my hair out. Is this how its SUPPOSED to be? any help would be greatly appreciated

Trying to use UMC202HD with Behringer ASIO drivers (v4.38.0) on Win10 platform for Guitar Rig 5. No luck. Guitar Rig gets and outputs the signal (indicators show), but no sound from my Conexant sound-card. I can get sound with ASIO4all, but there's clipping no matter the buffer size I set. (Hardware: HP ProBook 430) :(
