Why are people criticizing the Yoshi commentator so hard? His insight was relevant and useful, and he gave Kameme credit for his plays and wins also. I thought he was the better of the two commentators.

People acting like smash commentary isn't ass 99.9% of the time in the comments, at least the Yoshi stan actually knew some things about his character and the game in general instead of just saying what's happening on screen and gasping every 10 seconds

The MU is horrible for Yoshi. So Yoshi naturally gets the underdog treatment if he's adapting.

I ma be the only one to say it but thanks to Kasawi for the commentary. Although it was kind of biased, it was useful information about Yoshi and it gave every stock that little something that I found enjoyable, even though I was cheering for Kameme

The bias of one of the commentators was kind of very annoying, but great set! Love seeing both Sora and Yoshi; they're not very used characters in these big tournaments.

Pretty sure that commentator is amsa. Legendary yoshi in melee and totally revolutionized the character. If anyone is justified in being biased, it’s him. He also made it super far in ultimate in this tournament. Edit: I’m wrong. It’s not aMSa, but he did commentate other sets. Resume criticism as scheduled.

Kinda sad that people are criticizing the guy for being biased towards Yoshi. You clicked on this video because one of your favorite characters is playing, and you want them to win. Youre biased too. Just because he's casting doesnt mean he loses the right to cheer for his favorite character. He's a human being commentating a Smash game. Do we even know if he's getting paid? Besides, casters practically ALWAYS root for the character who has the less favorable matchup. Yoshi is weak against sword users. CHILL.

The commentary blew either way. It was all geared towards on what the Yoshi was going through and the other commentator was doing all of the legwork explaining what was actually happening. I’m fine with getting hype for your fav character but it shouldn’t affect your commentary this badly. He hardly complimented Kameme and didn’t commentate on what his Sora was actually doing, just reacting whenever Yoshi got hit or did anything ever. It wasn’t unwatchable by a longshot but it’s definitely not good commentary lol

Not only was the commentator biased he also got a lot wrong. 1:23 Yoshi had no double jump so he did not use armor to escape he actually did up b and naturally fell out of thundaga as the move is inconsistent at times. 7:11 dthrow up b is true not the upair after. 19% for a combo is pretty average. 8:15 kameme lost his dj here. he was going to do an rising aerial and recover but didn't realize he lost his jump.
