This song is actually two separate audio tracks: The introductory piece before the vocals is called "Mata no Hi ~Prologo~" and the second is, naturally, "Umineko no Naku Koro ni". Both tracks are on the single of the theme song that was released, and are sung by Shikata Akiko.
They might as well be conjoined, because uploads of just "umineko no naku koro ni" contain a bit of prologo for a split second, mistook as a thunder drum sound or a taiko, but its actually part of prologo
if you dont wanna hit replay every time it ends, you can right click on the video (on the desktop version), and select "loop"! this loops the song repeatedly!
0:10 i got goosebumps..... 0:30 i got cowbumps... 1:40 village music? 1:50 cool girl voice :D 3:15 i almost jizzed my pants..... 5:50 *ran to washroom*
1:31 Probably the hardest beat drop I've ever heard. I've had this song on my mp3 player for 14 years. I believe I got it from a mediafire link however. It's beautiful. Also the violin at 3:20 🤌
well Bern was born during Higurashi not before it and she claims that herself, its also mentioned by Lambda that that game gave her new witch and she was happy about it or something like that. and yeah Rika's/Berns story doesnt start at Onikakushi-hen, they were trapped in that endless repetition for about 1000 years so its possible that Bern got bored and wrote some poems meanwhile lol
5 or 6 episodes for the first arc, The Legend of the Golden Witch. They're almost done with the first game in the series (Episode 1 of the visual novel). When the Legend of the Golden Witch is over, it's going to have another "repeated" arc like Higurashi did, based on the second game, Turn of the Golden Witch. There's going to be four story arcs in the first season.
no, listen carefully and compare. this one is similar to the italian version called "Rengoku", a song used for summarising the motion graphics ep 1-4. some people uploaded it, so go check it out. "One Winged Bird" was used for the anime.
Well, looks like 10 people won't be on their way to the Golden Land then... :P Also, these two songs are amazing :D. @sunbeami They aren't the same story, but they are linked tentatively. The common consensus, and Word Of God confirms this, is that the Higurashi series can be considered a game played between Frederica Bernkastel and Lambdadelta, and the Umineko series is a seperate thing that happens later. The anime includes a few shoutouts, like Maria watching the Higurashi anime on TV.
@NipahKawaiiRika This is the VN, original version of the opening. A second season of the anime will never be released, but Umineko is a story that doesn't really work animated either way.
in umineko no naku koro ni, there is a character just like rika who is a witch. she is introduced after the first arc. i noticed that they have the same voice actor, hair style, eye color, and style of dress.
Umineko no Naku Koro ni is the third VN in the Umineko series. Preceded by Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, and followed by Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru. :)
Yes actually Lambdadelta resembles Takano when she was young. Lambdadelta resembles Takano and Bernkastel obviously resembles Rika. Higurashi is actually a game played between Bernkastel and Lambdadelta. At the end of Kai when Rika beats Takano and defeats fate Bernkastel was considered the winner in her game against Lambdadelta.
for some reason Nier pops into my head every time i hear this song. i wonder if this artist had some hand in that game's soundtrack. the game would have probably been better if they used this song
@xXBlackxXxRoseXx Bernkastel is the embodyment of all off the dead rika's that didn't make it past june 30th, it is said just before the wedding starts, the memory of what happened (repeating that same month tohusands of times) is what made bernkastel so cruel and cold, it is also why she desperatly seeks for a way to end her boredom, but no Bernkastel was a piece in Higurashi not a witch.
@tristan687 Actually there is an anime, but this is the visual novels opening. You can see the anime version in related videos. It's pretty interesting at the least. The main character has to beat a witch in a sick duel, by proving, that her locked room type murders can be achieved without magic, only by human means.
Lol the "music in this video" that youtube displays for this vid says it was written by dimebagDarrell, vinnie paul, and Phil anselmo. I dont think that's right.....
You don't know what it means to see this comment. The last time I came here was a month ago, so in that time I wasn't the only one to appreciate it. You know what I mean? It's like noticing a commenter you've seen before (That isn't Justin Y.) Especially if you call their attention to it, it's almost a look into your past, to see your old comments.
I don't know what the Japanese call it, but the tune is the same as "Lightly Row." The episode your're thinking of is probably episode 5, but you hear her sing it again in the fourth arc.
@sunbeami No, it's just coincidence that the VNs were made by the same people and share the same name. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai = When They Cry and When They Cry 2. Umineko no Naku Koro ni and Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru = When They Cry 3 and When They Cry 4. (You can see this if you look at the title screen for the VNs, like what's shown on the video.) The relationships between the 2 sets aren't strong though.
@xXBlackxXxRoseXx Actually that game keeps me confused. In one of the tea parties, forgot which. There is a hint that Lambdadelta is Satoko. But I agree with you, it would make much more sense if she's Takano. But of course, maybe she's both, in the same way as Beatrice can control all characters on the gameboard.
In a way, yes. Frederica should be familiar to you. It's the "sequel" to Higurashi, but since Umineko isn't done, even in Japan, nobody is sure yet just what sort of connection it has to Higurashi beyond a few characters.
@oOMaWOo no problem. I THINK they call it a sea cat because they consider the sounds a seagull makes similar to that of a cat. I think Japan is my favorite culture even before mine lol. I do love my Italian culture but my family is compeltely American-ized and the only time I get any culture is when I go to Buca de Bepo xP
@edl01reviews I believe there was something about two Bernkastels, and the piece in Higurashi was Frederica Bernkastel, which is the one who you are talking about.
@193Raiden If you go by the setup of the stories, and the anime in general, it points away from Lambdadelta being Miyo, and their number similarities are just coincidental.
I just think it's interesting, the intro (at 1:20) is actually written out in the anime's opening. Right after Maria's smile, and before Beatrice comes into full view at the part of "Katayoku no Tori" where she sings "Nakanaide", check out the words floating above Beatrice. My mind was blown when I saw that.
DO IT. THEN BUY ME BEATRICE'S DRESS. Trust me, you won't have trouble figuring out who she is. xD She looks better in person than in the painting, btw. much older.
