They would definitely fuck it up though. I don’t see a way a hundred hour VN can fit into an 12 or 24 episode anime, even tackling the different arcs as different seasons like F/SN. Umineko is just that dense.
@@jilliantenan7485 I haven't gotten into Umineko yet, but I believe they adapted it loosely off the question arcs of the visual novel. Quite loosely. I still think I"ll watch the show though once I've read the visual novel because.. they tried. And the music is phenomenal, and personally I really dig the animation.
Please anyone reading this: read the manga or Visual Novel. The anime does a complete disservice to quite possibly the best story I have ever read. Trust me you won’t regret it. It will tear your mind and heart to pieces. Good. Now go read.
Soarel What a rant! It is in fact explained. Also, those three aren't added for nothing, because this is a SAGA and it does not ends in Umineko. Well, about the ars goetia and other references: they aren't so important to the plot, but they make for the 'scape of reality' theme in umineko and create the reasonement used to solve for Beatrice's past - As long as you have the consequences, you can understand the causes. And the plot twist... It isn't a twist at all, it just ends where everything starts.
Whimsical Chan I think it's better to read the visual novels or the manga. The Anime cuts out alot and also doesn't even end :( The Anime only adopted the first 4 novels, leaving the last 4 out. Lovely animated, but it is very confusing if you don't know the story already.
Somone plz do a remake for umineko. Animation doesnt even need to be crazy. Its a psychological series. It needs at least 30 anime episodes per VN episode. Then it will be a good adaptation.
+DerPennerGang studio DEEN is good, they adapted higurashi perfectly, dont know why they started adapting umineko when it was not even complete to fuck it up, i hope they make a better adaption
+DerPennerGang trust me Higurashi is one of the best adapted VN, they took all the routes perfectly in VN, its a little bit different experience since it is available as different arcs, i dont knwo who told you that they fucked up season 1, they did not they did a good job of using all the bad endings in the perfect sequence to show us and get us confused and doubt our theories at the end.
I like how the anime is full of gore and suffering but the fanarts make it seem that it's just a slice of life full of cute witches. Edit: today I finished Umineko, I'll miss this world and it's characters :( Edit 2: I'm brainrotting over this shit so much god someone help me!
I'm Italian so I can translate those lyrics for you ^^ "The judgement that comes from the sea is going to be made no one can defend himself from the sin that runs in their veins"
@@rkr9861 Pretty much every family member has sin in their blood, especially the adults. The only one that went against it was Battler by essentially rejecting his parents, but even that action was a “sin”
Even then, all of the OPs in the game are better than this one. There are a lot more than two. There are five, as I recall. And I personally say that they're all better, although not by much because this song is really damn good, just like the others.
Bernkastel had omni power concept, Lambdadelta, and Featherine too have the same concept with Master. So, that the reason why in this verse more powerful than Dbverses
I just started reading the manga and damn this shit is fire for real the plot , mysteries everything is just fire . It really deserves a faithful Anime adaptation if a studio like ufotable or mappa were to pick it up the fr umineko will definitely break the internet
Dude mappa and ufotable doesn't need to animate everything. What Unimeko needs is a studio that can adapt a long visual novel like it the best I recommend toei animation because they're currently animating a visual novel right now (one piece). They're adapting it so well they're adding filler because the one piece visual novel can't keep up
@@ModusOperandiii one piece isn't a visual novel Besides instead of animating the visual novel I prefer them animating the manga all 8 parts of the Manga meaning 8 seasons
The hard thing to adapt Umineko is that it's a slow burn one, within 10+ hours in of reading the VN do the murders begin to happen, even it takes multiple chapters in the manga. If every details are to adapted, then we need at least an arc per a 24-episode season. Though maybe they can follow Oshi no Ko and make a 1-hour long first episode to introduce the cast and system, then pull the twist and cliffhanger at the end.
It skims over, changes, and cuts out the details that make the mystery solvable. Chalk it up to the fact that the game series wasn't finished at the time of release, and the animators didn't exactly take notes from the author on which details were important. Right now, we should just be glad the original games were remade; it takes the best elements of the anime (like the voice cast and character designs) and puts them to much better use.
@@flubberdoodles2836 The anime has no conclusion, it just kind of stops, and even then you are missing most of the context about the story. Umineko just has too many characters, scenes within scenes to be adapted faithfully (unless they dedicated around 10 episodes for each arc, and even then for some of the later arcs that wouldn't be enough episodes either) in the VN, if you are paying close attention to all of the details you may be able to figure out who the killer is in arc 3 or 4(where the anime ends) or even earlier, arc 1 has a lot of information that is easy to miss on the first time reading it, but most of the main elements are already there for you to speculate over. The 1st and 2nd arc have a ton of clues that point you in the right direction. The problem is that the anime was made when only half of the story was released, and the producers of the show cut out and re-arranged a ton of content, that just made the story even more complex than it already was. If you like the anime, read the visual novel. You will see that they cut out more than 50% of the content from the story that they adapted(the question arcs) If you are going to read Umineko, just make sure you read the question arcs before the answer arcs. You will not regret it
@@donnamitsuki281 The fact that it's not a remake makes it even more likely for Umineko to have a remake, funnily enough, but maybe Kikonia will have an anime first?
@@kitsunami7251ciconia is very farther away from a finished story, adapting umineko episode per episode as seasons would be golden like the witch herself
I usually hate anime intros, but this one is so beautiful and emotional. It also helps me remind most people in the world are empathic and feel deep. It's just the few rotten ones that make us feel bad
Fandom in a nutshell: 90% This anime was terrible. 8% It's not terrible because it never existed , Umineko DON'T have an anime. 2% This anime wasn't that bad, actually, It's quite nice.
I never watched the anime but i found this opening and then forgot about the name. I searched for it for seven years and finally i found it ❤. This song is a masterpiece
@@Emily8468 Yeah, not sure what OP is all about. Naraku no Hana reflects a state of emergency, it tells you we're getting close to the climax of this story but it won't be easy for the end to be a happy one. It asks the characters to stay strong and keep trying no matter what.
With Higurashi, there's a clear progression: Anxiety -> Desperation -> Determination.... -> Diabetes. This one's blatant power, and the emphasis of the audience's (and the family's) powerlessness.
It had potential... But it was too fast, too lacking on story and details... I mean: Even in higurashi one is able to draw similar conclusions as Rika did, but here? Battlers thesises seem off and the end was horrific. Why was Maria close with Beatrice and why did Beatrice had a hard time to decide to kill her (except as EVA-Beateice)? What's her matter with Battler at all? And who are those people, dammit?
Yes, I really enjoyed it and I have a clearer picture of whats happening. The time loop witch battle is a really cool concept. I hope they come out with a season 2 but for now I'll play the game.
IndigoTiger Season 2 isn't happening, sadly. I'd recommend playing the first 4 episodes of the visual novel also, since the Anime missed some scenes but it doesn't matter that much. Good luck on the second half of your Umineko journey.
Funny... That's my view on Fate/Stay Night as a whole. I haven't watched Umineko, so I'll probably read it instead. Only problem there is that I'll want to also read all of Higurashi first, to see how different it is from the anime, and then read Umineko
Umineko and Higurashi have no coralation with each other, they are made by the same author though. The Umineko manga is really pretty and I recommend it
@@shymyn Honestly, I think Umineko is actually quite big in theory. I feel like quite a lot of people did read it, but as time goes on people just start moving on to other series and only few stick around. Tho I would agree that Gou and Ciconia re-vitalized the fandom.
@@Assassin559971 the thing I notice is that most people within the higurashi fanbase are more like r07 fans opposed to fans of JUST higurashi, which makes umineko feel bigger because it’s usually the most talked about r07 story amongst those fans - even if their favorite is (usually ‘rashi) something different.

So I've watched this video for years enjoying the song and never understanding the pictures other than," oh I see Rika....I guess she's Bernkastel now?" Or "The Golden Witch must be a misunderstood bad guy?" Now that I've stopped procrastinating and watched the visual novel, I must say to anyone reading my comment PLEASE GO READ THE VISUAL NOVEL. Umineko is probably the best story I've ever read and it is a roller coaster of scares and emotions. Plus, I finally understand each picture now 😅
@ArmyAntAdam I randomly came across exec harmonius on some anime radio app and quickly searched it up and found Akiko Shikata and got hooked to her songs. Her songs are just great.
+Karou The only soundtrack that really hurts my ears everytime I listen to it is "Die Hasen" from the Black Butler soundtrack. It´s like they didn´t even try to get it right. But in the end I still like it.
A wonderful and gripping VN for Visual Novel lovers, and an amazing Manga for mystery and thriller readers. Definitely recommend reading- even if the anime itself was cut short.
Watched the anime which I enjoyed 😁 So now currently reading the manga, to find out what happens next and what was missed out 😁 Beatrice is everything 🙌🏻
@@rubedo1864 I sure hope that this does not get a sequel but a reboot. Would be a disaster otherwise. Cutting down 50 hours of content into a single season was a horrible idea by Studio Deen.

AmaneKun but how can he deny something that is happening? He even used something like magic himself. All those red and blue texts were magic but he still denied it! WTF?
One of the best openings ever... for an incomplete anime, without a second part, and having no proper access to the novels, this doesn´t worth the time
Just finished reading the VN from 1-8 dang what a great mystery vn same as higurashi also the bgm when Rosa dual wielding the sawed off shotgun was a fucking badass and the bgm when Erika final moment on chapter 6 also good, what a good VN and worth to read
