Mandy.. you are an absolute legend. I'm pretty sure you have your dark moments.. and it's important that you give yourself permission to have them.. but you are an inspiration to women in the way you are handling this part of your journey. Sending you love, light and gratitude from Ireland. ❤
So pleased to hear you’re doing well. You’ve got this! No spread is brilliant and keep that in your mind. X you and John are a great team . He will be your rock, your nurse and your comfort xx
So pleased that it was a positive experience this time seeing the consultant and he answered your questions. Delighted that it hasn’t spread anywhere 🎉 Keep being so positive, you’re amazing 🤩
Hiya Mandy, sorry to here about your diagnosis, my cousin was diagnosed in October stage 2.. and applied for pip even though she as a great highly paid job and is still getting full pay for the first 6 months, pip awarded her straight away £700 a month for 2 year period… obviously she now suffers anxiety as well as yourself, it’s a very scary thing, I hate to say the word myself.. but you’ve got this.. pip can help if you can’t work, just thought I’d let you know.. take care. X
Brilliant news that cancer not spread, the brain is quite funny at times during menopause!! Numerous times I go into room only to forget what I came in for😂 Best wishes for treatment ❤
Always love 💕 watching your channel, you make me laugh with your honesty 💦 👖 🤣… keep smiling, keep positive & wishing you both a fantastic time in Spain 🇪🇸 x
Hello Mandy & John Brilliant news about non spread - I guess that is what they meant when they said they hadn't seen anything they weren't expecting - so chuffed for you guys 🙂🙂🙂 So glad you are having a little holiday in Spain in the warmth and sunshine before treatment starts Thank you for sharing your "journey" 🙂🙂🙂
So pleased for you the news was positive and that it hasn’t spread and great your chemo isn’t the harshest one, looking forward to seeing you a Campervan Campout, wishing you all the best ❤
Nice watercolor kit. You could do an art journal of something that is good everyday. I try to paint a 5 minute hot mess everyday. Something small, I just do quick watercolor sketch. Maybe it's my morning cuppa. Or a flower or leaf I see. I did a bird bath while I was waiting for an appointment. Since it's in a small sketch book, there is no pressure to make a big finished thing. It makes me feel better to do something creative.
Good news in the grand scheme of things.. I really don’t think you’ll be working whilst having treatment…I would estimate you’ll need at least 6 weeks off.. As you say you need to avoid too many people, not easy where you work. So glad your feeling more positive and brighter…. I’m sure I can say…we’re all worried about you ( andJohn) and thank you for all the updates….👍🇬🇧 We found it easier to keep track of things by highlighting things in different colours.. Ie..treatment in yellow…appointments in blue, diet in green…..etc
Oh what a difference in Specialists! So good to get too much Info, rather than next to nothing/not enough. Glad you've got the Instant Pot out, I love mine, lots of recipes on their app, I really like the 'one pan' pasta recipes (they remind me of some of yours :-) ), just ate the last portion of Spag Bol I made a couple of days ago. I'm off to the library to borrow the from freezer to Instant Pot book for some more ideas on using frozen stuff. Also been watching The Batch Lady for some ideas too.... trying to get organised for days when I struggle to cook/eat properly, as I know they can make me worse. Hope you enjoy your trip to Sunny Spain!!
Oh Mandy I have just sat here and laughed so much I cried 😂😂 #peebottle. So pleased there is no more problems and the treatment plan seems very thorough x good luck xxx stay positive 😊 😊😊😊
Brilliant news Mandy, was so pleased for you and the fact it hasn’t spread. You both a holiday, enjoy yourselves in the sun. Stay positive Mandy, thinking of you, take care xxx
Brilliant news about the scan, cancer not spreading, keep being positive as that sure does help. Have a great holiday and just do what you want to do, also find time to chill out ❤ xx
Not caught up with your videos, watched this one and amazed at how bright you look, sounding so positive too, that’s so great to see, onwards and upwards Mandy and a great start to your journey, well done. If you are at camp out in Ardingly, it would be great to bump into you, as we are going 😊. Keeping all those positive vibes coming your way xx
Great positive news once you get the treatment done you can get back on track with your adventures 👍👍👍👍👍 Plan Plan and Plan for the future and that will keep you focused ❤️❤️😁xx PS always make time to get your toilet out you know it makes sense 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have to say Mandy, You look like your glowing today and your hair suits you so much. Its a good prognosis to lift your spirits and you have John's full support..Big hugs ❤❤
Hiya it’s been a while since I’ve commented on your post as I’m still recovering from prostate cancer, But your looking so well Mandy did have to laugh about your weeing story, as even I did that a couple of time After having my caterer bag removed.but you do look well. Stay strong enjoy life ❤
It is so good to see you so much more positive, you are looking so relaxed.Love your hair as it is.I hope treatment goes well,so good that things are sounding so much better.
Good news that not spread and you have more information. Sorry you made me laugh about the bottle to wee in😂😂😂you are so funny. Shopping etc is normal and keeps you busy, take care xx
Thats a great big thumbs up then with the positive news from the consultant, it’s all confined to the one area. And again that there’s no panic or urgent rush to start your chemo treatment ASAP. It sounds like the guy you saw this time was much more sympathetic and informative, hopefully he calmed some of your worries. The hospitals always give you the worse case scenarios for any treatment they are going to give you. Let’s face it Mandy, you’re going to smash this treatment, you’ll be just fine, and hopefully at the end you’ll be wondering what all the treatment worse case scenarios were all about. Just one question…..you won’t start to glow in the dark will you? Quick question, are you sure you haven’t wrapped some of those cupboard door handles behind you in the video with Cadbury Cream Egg wrappers? No you don’t bore us Mandy, I nearly had my own accident when you related your “wee” accident. And, I bet it was one of those wee’s that once you’d started you couldn’t stop as well. But what an excuse it would have been if you had been late for the dentist! I’m sure it would have been a new excuse they’d never heard before. Take care, the pair of you.
Yay for the best results you could have had.👍🏼 you have to count the pluses where you can. Also the news about the treatment being the least physically damaging. Don’t know if that’s the correct phrase but, you know. Hope you’re right about the passport because I thought it had changed to ten months for Europe. You can let us know. Hope you both have an amazing time in Spain with some good food in places that are not included in the rip off list.
Great news, my late wife had chemotherapy for 2 years and although she was really sick after her first session she was fine every other session by taking her anti sickness meds in advance, it’s easier to prevent thank to cure she was told so she took them days in advance, bless you 😊
Hi Mandy. Good to hear that you had a positive appointment at the hospital. I went through pretty much the same last year and my hospital was full of the lovely smiling people. Nice new building too. They took fantastic care of me and you will find that this treatment will absolutely fly by. They keep you busy with appointments and treatments - I even managed to get some reflexology as part of the complementary care programme. Great to hear that your hair won't fall out. I had a different type of drug because I had endometrial cancer and my hair fell out really quickly. That being said, it wasn't too dreadful, and now my hair has grown back it is really curly. Something I have always wanted, which is an unexpected bonus. You are doing brilliantly and even if you get the odd rough day, just remember, that is what it is, a rough day. I am following you and keeping you in my thoughts. Best wishes, Miffy xxx
Thank you for sharing your experience I am so happy that the cancer has not spread Keep strong Mandy Looking forward to seeing you at the Camper Campout from a distance of course xx
So pleased you got a good doctor, it makes a massive difference my last oncologist didn’t communicate well, he even asked me what medication I was on - he prescribed it😳! I’d had enough it wasn’t good for my mental health because I filled in the gaps of the info I wasn’t given. I changed oncologist to one I’d seen previously and it was night and day I can see a future! Cancers still not good news but I know where I stand now. Take care xxx Good luck with the poos🤞🏼💩👍🏼
Such good results Mandy 🎉 am so happy for you lovely. Great consultant so much needed makes all the difference. Holiday sounds very positive to build you up John too. Sun & relaxation is a tonic in itself. Stay strong & keep safe from germs, enjoy a lovely decaf lots love to you both 🩷🩵🫶🏻🫶🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻☕️☕️
Hi Mandy, oh my goodness I most definitely shed a few tears when you said your cancer hadn’t spread 🤗💖👍 I was so over the moon Mandy, that news is better than winning the lottery it is so lovely that you have the love & support of John because you both cry together laugh together & be very happy together Mandy, you couldn’t ask for any more & one positive thing that came out of it all you definitely had a spring clean of your lovely home 💖👍Lin P.S YOU MOST DEFINITELY DID NOT BORE ME
Great news that your cancer is contained and your treatment isn’t too bad x we will all be here wishing you well x and even if you don’t get round to posting your adventures we will all be here when you do x I had a fair few tears then but most of them were with laughter at your pee experience x what a woman you couldn’t write it x keep smiling and stay focused x we all luv you loads xx
Such good news Mandy - delighted for you that your PET scan results were good and no surprises. It must help mentally having a treatment plan in place and some of your questions answered. Hope you have a wonderful holiday, fun in the sun with your friends and well-deserved rest. It will be so good for your mind and body. Wishing you a safe journey . Looking forward to your next video , as I always do. You are a hero in my books and I wish you nothing but the best . Best wishes from Southern Ontario xoxo
Oh Mandy you are amazing! So happy you doctor experience was good, they say knowledge is power so you go girl. The wee experience was hysterical. I have had a similar experience 😂😘
Great news that there’s nothing more lurking. It looks like you went from the worst consult to the best one! 😊 All the best for your coming treatment 😊
So glad to hear this news Mandy. Just to say I have had horrendous withdrawal headaches when giving up caffeine suddenly. As you will have plenty of other things to contend with, it might be worth gradually tapering your change from full caffeine coffee to the decaf stuff before your treatment starts. This seems to minimise the effects of your body wanting what it is used to. All the best to you and John and enjoy Spain.
Absolutely over the moon for you what a great outcome that you have nothing else to deal with and you will deal with it , sending love and positive vibes.
Yay it hasn’t spread 🙌 ❤ and hopefully not as invasive treatment 🤞 And So pleased you both at last got to see someone who took time to talk to you and answer your questions Xx
Aww such good news to hear it's not spread. My mam had treatment at Queens centre and I can't fault the nurses at all. My mam was a stubborn lady and didn't like to be told what they thought was best for her . But she would only do what she wanted, I say if she had done what they wanted to do and sometimes they wanted to keep her in . She wouldn't it was her way only. I think if she had done what she was asked she may still have been here or last longer then she did. Sending the biggest hugs to you both. Lots of love xxx❤
Fantastic news Mandy, I can stop worrying about you know, I have never met you but think of you as a friend 😊, so I am glad all is okay and nothing has spread. I did laugh about you having a wee, I am glad these things don’t just happen to me 😂😂. Lovely video and you’re never boring at all. See you next time, and stay happy and positive.😊
Absolutely loving your positivity Mandy, you are inspirational. I'm sure others going through similar can take great strength from your vlogs. As always, we send big hugs 💜
Oh Mandy so glad you finally know whats ahead, my hubby has prostate cancer, and this is a long journey, But great you have a plan, yes david my hubby has has Brachyrheraphy and real side effect is his bladder... lets say he has to run fast lol... we just laugh now... but you can get tabs to help urgency.. your both in my prayers good luck, i will be keeping following you... ❤
