That Ice Storm conversion from the tatsu assist in the last match was the MvC2est play I think I've ever seen in UMvC3.

My head exploded from watching this! So much potential! Some amazing players, how inspirational. I need to get back into this game, there's so much to learn.

MvC2 had a lot of viable character too, Storm, Sent, Cable, Mags, Cyclops, WM, Spiral, BH, IM, Sim, Strider, Doom, etc, etc and that's just the top of my head. UMvC3 will only grow smaller in viable characters as we get more years into it. I mean, its less then 2 years old. MvC2 when it was only 2 years old had tons of viable characters. When we break this game down even more, the Cream of the crop will become even more glaring.

Man, Justin did so well...and came within one dropped combo from the win. Would have been one of the most epic stretches ever.

They are top tier, Wolvie by himself might not be, nor akuma, but in Marvel individual tiers don't mean much because the game is team based.. Wolvie/Tatsu it's a pretty high tier team just as Nova/Bolts or Morrigan/Doom. Low tier characters can make for a pretty "high tier" team when paired up correctly, such as Hulk/Haggar.

That guy's Dr. Strange is ridiculous

Happens to everyone, especially in such a stressful game. The ability to recover from setbacks is important too. :)

Nemo never drops Strange loops twice. That's pressure for you. That is why Justin is so good, he clutches under pressure. Wong factor is mental.

Zero, Vergil, Morrigan, Dorammu, Phoenix in that order but this game needs a top 10 as it feels like I'm neglecting characters like Magneto, Doom, Spencer, Wolverine, Dante. For me, that is the top 10 but not in that order. The first five yeah. But it's all on opinion

Damn... I think Nemo has quite a bit of trouble with Storm.

Depends what you think top tier is. Wolverine is most definitely top 10 at the very least. To not think that is to ignore the fact that his rush-down is unparalleled in Marvel. He isn't, however, top 3 like Zero.

Zero, Vergil, Morrigan, Doom, then either Wolverine, Spencer, or Phoenix. He is top five.

Can someone explain to me why Nemo places spencer at ancor rather than second? He keeps tagging him when nova dies and he also wastes a meter by DHCing from Nova to Strange(whiff) then to spencer.

But then again, wolvakuma is pretty decent against zero, the fact that wolv has a shit ton of pressure and can keep putting pressure pretty well, expically with tasumki assist, its does pretty well against zero teams as long as they can get in on them, i agree wolv is not top tier, but it can still do really well against zero teams better than a lot of match ups

Since Akuma got his air demon flip he can set up his own bigamous mixups rapid low and high jabs, priority uppercuts cancel blocked low sweep into teleport that can also be canceled into any other special or hyper... you just don't see a lot of people explore him that deep..

It's not a S tier team but it's really good anyway. Wolvy is so tough, Storm got nice DHC tricks and Gouki is a good ancore. We'll, it's not the ChrisG's team but it's still good.

Nemo is one of the best for his comeback, love that counter of the Raging Demon Destroyer from Bionic Arm Super

Holy crap Nemo is good. The fact it took top 5 best players in America to beat Nemo, says a lot of about how good he is.

Wolverine is top tier and the combination of wolv/akuma is a top tier combination.

This is the excitement Marvel has been missing lately. Game is much more hype without Doom, Zero, and Vergil. Also I now see why that team is named "Nemo"!

In the second match I would have snapped in Akuma at the end of the Strange combo. Fearing Wolverine with that amount of health seems redundant. Any chip would have killed him. Accounting for XF I still think that would have been the better option. Justin still makes Akuma comebacks.

Wolverine especially, the bandwagon ones are so predictable, but u put ONE assist that compliments his style of play more than just the constant high low, ie Medium Light, into light beserker slash while you have a nova b assist coming in for the unblockable overhead... also works extremely well on character incoming...

I can see Akuma not beeing top tier. Wolverine is pretty strong. Espacially since he does not need to ajust his game to most characters and requieres pretty low exicution over all. Justin says he sees his team as beeing upper mid tier.

This is why I HATE what they did to the Marvel vs Series. If this was played to the True Legit Series (a.k.a. not made to have a Tatsunoko style engine w/ dumb X-Factor combined) then the Japanese players would be miles behind from the best players in America. It's sickening what they did to UMvC3, when all other games prior to MvC3 the US dominated convincingly. Mechanics of the game have made it easier to even & catch up the ground levels.

The problem is, you're comparing MvC2 that was played for over 10 years with a glaring tier list establishment to UMvC3 which has only been around for less then 2 years. If you Actually Compared MvC2s 1st 2 yrs it had just as many viable characters at that time that UMvC3 does now. Not to mention UMvC3 has 53 characters & was an Update. Just how many patches did MvC2 get? 0. So already w/ a patch, this game is already showing glaring gaps between the tier list.

Akuma isn't top tier. His assist was nerfed if you don't recall. Wolvie is High tier. Justin could've used a different team that matched up better. It was painful watching Storm try to navigate all that crap on the screen. The team is good.. but there are much better teams out there.
