"Hell is calling Albert." There's something so awesome about that line. It's mostly the fact that he uses the first name. It's so personal and dismissive, Ghost Rider casually strips away all the gravitas he cultivates. Wesker's just another sinner to burn for him
Especially if that one guy (can't remember his name but son of Mephisto in Ghost Rider movie) got royally burned with all those souls in him...How bad would Albert Wesker feel after the Penance Stare? :P
This is literally the best version of ghost rider that’s not in a comic. He’s actually intelligent, calm, has the look right, voice isn’t stupid, and doesn’t just say walk around growling and saying one-syllable words.
Well, Richard Grieco was the voice of him for TV episodes of Marvel animated media in the 90s. He returned for the role in this game before Fred Tatasciore
@@pablor.sepulveda9929 That’s unfortunate, because Grieco was a better choice. No disrespect to Fred Tatasciore, but his voice just wasn’t the right one. At least, not the growly voice he used.
@@curleed85 Unfortunately, it's also the type of voice Marvel has insisted on using for him in mainline Marvel games and TV shows in recent years. I'm a die-hard Ghost Rider fan. Was knee deep in the comics for years and the character holds a special place in my heart; and I agree, the voice doesn't suit him at all. He's not just another cliche demon guy with a scream-o voice. He's God's judgement upon the wicked manifest. He should sound like a stoic dark judge, not an enemy NPC from DOOM. Greco will always be #1 for the character.
i like how in the end of the battle he asks him for help with he's contract with mephisto... like he knows he is a lawyer but he is not a sinner who deserve the ghost riders's judgement
+thegreatjman1999 I will admit, that's a damn good burn... and the follow-up cements how good of a team-up those two could be. ... Well, good for THEM, anyway. The Judge's poor beard would be burnt to a crisp.
@@Hateful_Rex that's a different rider not Johnny Blaze. But seriously, Ghost Rider killed Zadkiel a literal Archangel. I don't think Mundus would be a problem.
@@Hateful_Rex There is more than one Ghost Rider. Johnny Blaze is basically the strongest Rider, while Robbie Reyes is the weakest (for instance, Robbie lacks one of Ghost Rider's most infamous abilities: the Penance Stare), IIRC. Mephisto is strong enough that when he fought Galactus, the collateral damage that was a byproduct of their fight endangered the entire universe, and Johnny Blaze's Ghost Rider defeated Mephisto and claimed his throne for himself. At his strongest, Blaze's version of Ghost Rider is basically beyond even Mephisto & Galactus. And to top it all off, the only thing that can actually inflict real damage to Ghost Rider is Holy weapons. That's it. Anything else and he'll just get right back up and keep coming after you. Not only that, Ghost Rider's hellcycle is fast enough to outrace *MJOLNIR* itself, and Mjonlnir traveled all the way to the edge of the Marvel universe and back to Thor's hand in *one minute* total! Underestimate Ghost Rider at your own peril. He has multiple ways of dealing with his enemies. Are they immune to physical damage? His Hellfire can just burn their soul directly. If they've committed enough atrocities, his Penance Stare can just obliterate their soul in it's entirety. Or, if he's feeling particularly vindictive, he can just *EAT THEIR SOUL OUTRIGHT* instead! Mundus would be a total cakewalk for Johnny to deal with. Mephisto alone would make Mundus look like nothing. Compared to Ghost Rider, both Dante & Vergil are simply big fish in a small pond. They're strong in their own universe, but introduce them to some of Marvel's heavy hitters and they'll look like complete amateurs by comparison. Doctor Doom would curb-stomp them both as well, even if the two worked together against him.
And He proved it when he fought Avengers including the Pure of Heart Super Hero Thor. It was freakin glorious what he did including to Thor which wasn't that long ago so not classic Thor instead Modern Thor.
Jalen Nelson Dante is THE demon hunter. Ghost Rider is like fucking ragnarok for demons. Dante is the best at what he does, but Ghost Rider is on the level of gods
I like Ghost Rider's interaction with Phoenix. At first he believes he's like every other lawyers, but he learns he's different than most and even asks him for help with his contract.
'I eat demons like Mundus for breakfast.' Jesus Christ, Ghost Rider just single handedly destroyed the entire Devil May Cry franchise with that one sentence.
In case anyone's wondering why Ghost Rider is tiffed at Amaterasu, it's because, once upon a time, She retreated into a cave following a prank gone bad perpetrated by Her brother, the storm god Susanoo, resulting in what could pretty much be eternal night (given that She's the sun goddess and also what had gone down earlier between Herself and Her only other brother, the moon god Tsukuyomi). It took the efforts of Ame-no-Uzume, goddess of dawn and revelry, among other Shinto deities, to get Amaterasu to come out. In Ghost Rider's eyes, Amaterasu's retreat was a cowardly and grossly inconsiderate act on Her part.
This Amaterasu didn't have a brother named Susanoo. Her worst crime was failing to save the Celestial Plain from Orochi's attack, and thus, leaving all of the Celestials to to be slain like cows at an abattoir.
john cee He should be available to you from the get go, unless you have *Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two World* Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is more of the director's cut version of the game, so you should have all of them at your disposal.
john cee Prior to UMVC3 release, there were some DLC content, but only characters like Shuma-Gorath, Hsien-Ko and Jill Valentine were accessible. So...you would need to find the retail disk of the game since it's no longer being sold in retailers due to Marvel and Capcom's contract expired.
I hate that CAPCOM decided against story and cutscenes. I like to think Ghost Rider would be the one character in the roster that would disturb, if not terrify, Albert Wesker. "Hell is calling, Albert."
I love how Ghost Rider interacts with the DMC characters. He feels like Dante is an amateur at Demon fighting, he scoffs at the fact that Trish had trouble against Mundus, and he pretty much whips Vergil into his place. Yeah the characters of DMC are great at Demon fighting, but Ghost Rider is on an entirely different level.
@@TheDragonsPit No. I like DMC but Ghost Rider is way too powerful for any kind of matchup with that franchise. His human host is a SAFETY FEATURE, as explained by Doctor Strange. He's broken when it comes to his powers, that's why crossovers with him in it are really hard to write.
I love this Ghost Rider voice so much more than the one in Infinite. This one in my opinion is cool because it’s so calm and dignified yet intimidating. It sounds ethereal and mysterious(?). While the new one, to me, feels less interesting because I’m not a fan of the gruff, gravely monster/demon voice which I’ve heard so many times in other media.
Daredevil is good and She Hulk's not bad but no one can bring a goddamn devil to justice (and possibly a road to pain, humiliation and breaking down) then Ghost Rider and Phoenix Wright)
I was thinking the same. It may be to soon for a ghost rider reboot, but the mcu would actually make a good ghost rider movie (introducing the Soul Infinity Stone)
david santistevan While they do own the film rights to Ghost Rider, there aren't any plans to make a new film as of now. Also, Nicolas Cage has said that he's through with Ghost Rider. I know there are people out their who think he played the character terribly, but I just really love seeing him over act.
MrThischarmingman2 I heard that Ghost Rider would make a better show, like Daredevil. Like you'd make it for Netflix and call it whatever it'd be called. People have said that Jensen Ackles should play Johnny Blaze
RaxuRangerking I don't know, first he humiliates her. Then he called her by name. It seems that he only call people by name only if they are especially evil. I don't know the character very well (only played DmC 3 and 4), so I can't judge.
To me, the Ghost Rider sequel sucked so bad, people forget the first Ghost Rider is not actually that bad... ...except for Blackheart. I don't recall Blackheart being a humanoid.
It's pretty much accurate too. In terms of power scaling between demons in DMC and demons in Marvel, Mundus would be the equivalent of a fairly minor demon, to the point that Ghost Rider could very easily wipe the floor with Mundus, as well as Dante, Virgil, and Trish. Ghost Rider is simply leagues above characters from DMC as far as power goes, not to mention the fact that Ghost Rider is extremely difficult to truly hurt or kill, and he's also one of the most powerful heroes in Marvel.
gamester512 So, I just found out Ghost Rider once one shot *Galactus* A.K.A the final boss of this game. Jeez, now I want to see a Death Battle between him and Spawn.
Richard Grieco is the voice actor and is best at it, he also did Ghostrider voice in 90's hulk cartoon and 90' Fantastic Four cartoon. Shame Marvel didn't bring him back.
In MvC: Infinite, due respect, his voice kinda sucks (at least in my opinion) cuz I think its a bit overdone like way too deep and exaggerated I guess, but Ghost Rider is one badass character tbh.
I swear, after reading his comics, Ghost Rider is literally that guy who gets sent in just to kill the big bad, and then leave. The guy can even defeat World Breaker Hulk.
Sneezebiscuits Yup. If it isn't made in heaven, it's not harming him. And even if you had a weapon made in heaven, that doesn't even guarantee that you'll kill him. If you manage to kill the host, the spirit will just find a new body.
Sneezebiscuits Not even Satan. When Danny Ketch absorbed all the spirits of vengeance, he kicked god off his throne. And god is the only being that can kill the spirits of vengeance. You know you're overpowered when you can defy the only being that can kill you.
my favorite quote was always when he pretty much Shits on the entire dmc universe "I eat demons like mundus for breakfast" Johnny where the hell were you when nero needed help
Welcome to the Salty Spittoon. How tough are ya? How tough am I? How tough am I?! I eat demons like Mundus for breakfast ! Uh, right this way, sorry to keep you waiting.
I would honestly say that this actually the coolest version of Ghost Rider. Hideaki Itsuno should make a GR game and the people who wrote the dialogue should script it. There might be something good in that.
Considering he is one of the main benafators in the whole resident evil series, I'm sure that his soul is that of the purest darkness this world has seen, and that's saying something.
I love the choice of bringing back Richard Grieco from the 90s animated series for the role. That soft, ever-contemptuous whisper just MAKES the character.
Ones I came up with: Fighting Akuma: Let me show you a REAL raging demon. Defeated Akuma: Burn well, Oni. Fighting Frank West: Let me show you how to put down the undead. Fighting Deadpool: Lets see if the penance stare works this time. Defeated Deadpool: Give Death a greeting for me.
Ghost Rider: As someone who sold his soul to the devil, At least I wasn't stupid enough to let myself fall into hell while being wounded and exhausted.
man umvc does all of marvels characters perfectly ghost rider is so badass, and i never would imagined id see shuma gorath outside his comics, glad to see him get some love.
He also voiced Ghost Rider in the episode that he was featured in, in The Incredible Hulk 1996 Animated Series. Funnily enough though, he was voicing Daniel Ketch Ghost Rider. I guess his voice is universal for Ghost Riders.
...This Ghost Rider's voice is actually sick🔥 I'm used to the either not talking or growling one word, but for it to sound like a demonic form of Johnny's actual voice, it fits pretty shockin good, I like it!
It will be the most epic and most hilarious thing I ever see for Ghost Rider to go to a McDonalds dive-thru and order a Happy Meal, a powerade, an apple pie and an Oreo McFlurry.
