Un-Boxing 110cc Chinese ATV

I don't care what any of these dudes say, I like it.

I'm just gonna go ahead and warn you brother, I used to work at a dealer ship(i was lead mechanic)that sold these things(we actually stocked this exact one lol!) the engines are tough as long as you keep them full of oil(10w 30) and break them in good. BUT, be prepared for Wheel bearing and chain problems out the ass. Also a lot of the welds around the frame will be snapping if it goes off road. The muffler mounting system is horrible and will come loose and if ignored will snap the Mani studs and go through exhaust gaskets like there's no tomorrow. Also, the carbs are ridiculous. Most have no bowl screws. Most are pressed fit with hardened pins that will murder any drill bit. I have successfully drilled and tapped a few BUT most of the jets and bowl parts are just pressed or hardened pinned in. Just looking out for you brother, I've worked on probably over 30,000 of these things. hahahaha.

I was importing and selling these bikes 12 years ago.. before most people had even heard of them. For the price they can't be beat. I would recommend changing the fuel line and the gearbox/engine oil.. Other than that , you will have very few problems. Most issues will be with ethanol fuel eating the cheap rubber fuel line and gumming up the carb. And possibly petcock issues, Unless you ride on pavement the tires will last forever

Just don't leave it sit outside, the plastic fades super fast on those chinese atv's.

Got one of these when I was 4. Still is running today and I'm 14 years old! Went through tons of use and riding through water. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a good cheap fourwheeler. At the time it was on sale for 325$ at fleet farm in 2006.

i bought my daughter one of the manual transmission 200cc atv's years ago when she was young ..... she loved it .

$500 + Mr. Honda's proven engine + 8yr old = Totally Daggum Aweshum ! My man, Good job. Doesn't matter where it was made to an 8 yr old.

he'll have a blast with it! I've got one I picked out of a dumpster for suspension parts for a tractor...but ibstead gave it good carb clean, new plug, replaced a couple bolts (top engine mount shears easily on the nut side), tightened everything up, new clutch off eBay, and now the thing shreds up to 70km with a couple little mods....tons of fun

I guess as long as you remember how much it cost, where its build, expectations and commonsense use. Go for it👍

Todd , these are great starter four wheelers , and I'm sure these comments about it are making you wonder about your purchase , the best advice I can give you is buy lock tight and use it on the nuts and bolts or put lock washers on, which ever is easier, I also bought one for my son and he loved his . Just every once in a while give it a good once over and he will enjoy it for a long time . It's like anything else you take care of it , it will take care of you .

I've got one of these. Mine is a 110cc painted red. It runs but not right. We paid $300.00 for it used and it is now sitting in the barn.

$570 shipped to your door is a great deal! Don't listen the "I would have" or the "why didn't you" crowd. Your son will have a blast on that thing!

i got a 110cc atv from Korea as a kid. It was like this cheap (price) but man that thing took a beating. Use to jump it flip it etc and it never died.

That metal crate was a nice bonus... Good material for making Brackets and stuff

Thats Kind of what I got. Tried messing with the engine but could get it to work. just gave up on that. But I keep it around to pull off the shocks and stuff.

nice I got one of those from a buddy of mine it was practically junked out, put a new sparkplug and battery in it still runs good!

Everybody in the comment section don't understand these units have come a long way. And before everyone starts hating on me I have plenty of toys a Baja boat a Suzuki 450 four wheeler Yamaha yxz1000r side by side so I know my toys. I've been watching a lot of video on these they've come a long way I'm getting ready to buy my daughter one.

Thats the same engine I put in my rat rod mower. The trans is just a 1 speed like a gocart. Hes going to have a blast with it.

I go on six weekend long camping/riding trips a year with a group of 20 plus riders. Everyone that has bought chinese has regrated it. Recent purchases and those bought 10 or so years ago. Seems no one has told them gears made from mild steel won't last long. This is an honest observation based on the many major failures I have seen. I'll keep paying more for Yamaha or Honda.

lol my sister has one of these and she turned 7, she rips around all the time on it, now i just gotta get my suzuki lt 125 fixed up to mess around on and one day give it to her if i still own it

Change the oil! And keep it stored out of the sun, plastics fade and get brittle fast. Enjoy riding!

Hey fearless my dad bought me the same quad for my 10th birthday I'm currently 15 but we had nothing but problems with this quad every time it was rode it always broke down. A good starter quad for your boy would have been an Arctic cat 90cc it's a little bigger then the Chinese 110 but is a really reliable quad my old Arctic cat 90 went through 5 owners and still ripped me around untill I was 12 and got a 2002 Honda 300ex. Todd!! I got the same exact ATV for christmas of 2009. I havent started it in 3 years but it runs absolutely great just to let you know you will have little to no problems with it.

Chinese stuff isn't always bad if you change out things like the spark plug. My friend had one of these and it was great. Harbor freight predator another decent knock off

i had one of these 110cc chinese atvs. they are fun and easy to ride! only thing is that mine gaves lots of problems. crappy tires always flat because they are impossible to find, battery always dead, and bolts always going loose. but it's acceptable for being chinese. now i have a yamaha blaster 200

Around 500 bucks is pretty cheap for what you got. Looks nice. At first I thought it was for you, I'm thinking "OH NO, not you fearless, not you" LOL. Your kid is going to love it.

I bought my six year old daughter one four years ago it's been working just fine I did need to buy a battery but that's it who needs one that's going to last 30 years when your kids will out grow a little bike in 5

By the way there's nothing wrong with the suspension they are all like that. even the big ones are rock solid. I don't know why they are still like that after all those years... actually i've put a 125cc front shock on the rear of my full size 150cc and the spring rate is just a tad too soft, it gives you an idea how must oversprung they are.

Just a warning. Don't beat on it really hard because they are are hard to find parts for. Tell your son to have fun, I still remember my first 90cc

I have driven real honda 50cc manual atv when I was 6 years old :D an 2 years later 300cc Real honda manual. But VERY NICE GIFT FOR YOUR SON!

Awesome I sold lots of the 110 great little machine just check all the bolts ones in a while some of them may come lose and that the rear axel is lined up strait .Gerry

Man the Chinese have gotten super good at cloning those Honda engines, as long as you break it in properly it should last as long, I found an automatic clone like the one you got and put it on a beater Trail 70 and that would rip with those little 10 inch wheels x), i'm actually quite amazed at how good of a price you got it I've always seen the Chinese ones for like 800+ for a 50cc.

I’ve had these in the past, carburetor tends to go bad in about 6 months and the chain and axle bearings lasted about 12 months, the 150cc is a better bargain last a little longer.

Dude, thats cool. I got one of those crates from a buddy. I made a welding table out of it. Few more pieces of angle, and some push mower wheels and BOOM, mobile welding table that holds both welders. Might be an idea for ya.

i have the exact same one and yes the suspension needs to be worked in i got it used brock the fram because the chain poped off and grabed the fram so be careful of that

Be sure to change the oil often during the first 20 hours of driving. engine will last longer

my dad got me one awesome the problem was the battery hook up didn't work so just re wired it still have it ride it every once in a while got a 300 poliris

The front end will need a lot of work when you get some hours on it! I bought two and the steering has some issues. Cool bike!

I had bad experiences with 2 Chinese knock off 150cc scooters, was using them as daily drivers, always broken down. But you like to tinker so it maybe fine for you, I needed a reliable vehicle.

Why not get an old honda 90 atv of Craigslist? It would prolly last longer and better build quality. Ive seen thoes Chinese atv's in scrapyards everywhere

People always say buy a Japanese brand for beginners. I think the best way to go is Chinese. Start out on something dirt cheap and if you know what your doing with small engines you'll be fine. No need to waste a ton of money on a old brand name bike. Once they get bigger and want something with some serious power, then you shell out the cash and get them something nice.

was this a good size for your son being 8 years old? Did it look too small for him etc? My daugther is 5 and I was looking at this one and the slightly larger 110cc 3050d with front and rear racks

do ya need to take spark plug out an tip a bit of oil in there before ya wear it in? just so ya dont damage the piston if its dry!

Good for you and your son! That's mighty cheap, especially when brand name ones from Yamaha and alike go for $3000 ++. I'm more interested to know how it held up with time. You know, Chinese quality...

mine was like that just not coolster now im on a 400 suzuki 4x4 but it lasted also watch out for the battery sometimes they short and u need to put quick disconnect

Hate to be a buzzkill but these things aren't the greater, the GIO's anyways. My dad bought me and my sister one and mine ran good fired every time but we had to rewrite the entire thing, weld the frame twice. And then finally the rear axle blew up and it was time to scrap. Then my sisters was just a junker. Anyways good luck with the build! I hope yours lasts longer than mine did.

Thats a pretty good deal, thinking you can buy a indestructible baja warrior for 650 700, not shipped to your home. and i have herd those do tend to last a good will. (as always, if you take care of them)

this will be ok because the mans a good mechanic. I will tell you though if you buy a gently used Honda or Yamaha simple bike you can ride it for 10 years and still get your money back.
