This is the UN-CUT raw footage of the flight I took to document the demolition of the Big Dipper Roller Coaster @ Geauga Lake Park, in Aurora, Ohio. Shot on October 17th, 2016.

You guys are phenomenal drone flyers very very smooth nice job. I grew up in Cleveland graduated in 1986. Geauga lake was my weekend home in the summers at times with my family

A bit sad to watch a wooden roller coaster being torn apart. There are so many really old wooden coasters that survive many decades that are still in operation. Good capture, it's not often that something like this gets filmed.

Thank you Scotia!!! Appreciate your viewing support, and you taking the time to comment on the videos :-) This is the local park, that held alotta warmth in everyone's heart. It was sad when it shut down in 2007, and this is just another chapter in that sadness :-(

Thanx Big Guy, this park held many memories for most of us here in Northern Ohio. My hometown was/is only 15 minutes away. This is where my son rode his first coaster :-)

Wow, I feel like I could be one of those old timers that they have in documentaries, asking about places that are long gone, 30 years down the road or so. I was one of the seasonal maintenance crew at GL, and the dipper was my ride. I walked the tracks every day of operation (except for weekends.)

... Its a very well done video again buddy and a nice documentation of this demolition, nevertheless this are a little bit sad circumstances wich are shown. But unfortunately this is the reality. So thank you for showing this nice footage. I enjoyed watching very much. And maybe I can show a rollercoaster in good shape and working in my next vid for a little bit compensation ;)...have a great weekend my friend !

Good point :-) I reviewed the music just now, dunno if I'd call it happy music, but... the original movie (edited of course) had quite somber funeral type music... this movie was just the mission footage itself, so I guess I didn't spend alotta time seeking a song to go behind it... sorry coasterG9... :-(

Total disgust to see this coaster torn down. Music does not go with the sadness of this event.Shame on you Cedar fair, Will never attend any of your amusement parks ever. Shear greed jealousy over Geauga Lake Park,you can't take away memories Cedar fair..
