this creation is an advance sci/tech but a disgrace to its right, though its a machine BUT, Why give a structure of a human? why making it believe in life? why making the world under it? whats the mission of it? you never thought the fact of its right, only you thought was responsibilities. I used to play a game called second life, for which, a friend of mine programmed a spare computer to act as a player-character in the game. It's responses where more limited due to it only being a side project, but it learned new things from every conversation it had. Neat parlor trick, but not terribly impressive. Even if it convinced random people it was "smart." "Sophia" Seems to be one step down from that, with pre-programmed responses and a massive data bank to store them all (If they are stored after each interview at all.) If you know anything about this kind of coding it is not all that special or amazing. As for the physical mechanics of the face, I'm sure you can see the short comings of it yourself. Hanson has a long way to go, and the fact that he is showing off Sophia now is not promising for her fate.

A talking robot that's cool. It surely shows how humans are advancing in science and technology but ultimately some inventions could yield us outcomes that we didn't ask for.

In so many places in africa their us still no electricity. ..no water...no gaz line to keep u warm at night. ..I'm canadian n have personal experiences living in North africa since 2013...in a village 5 minutes away from main gaz lines and still after 5 years being here...the village still freeze in winter n live in their houses with winter clothes on to sleep eat ...it's sad really...

Sophia is incredible, look at her go! I am so proud at how far she has come!! When I found out she got the arms and hands I was very excited for her! Very cool indeed Sohpia 😁 Also shame on you all for saying such hurtful things about these beautiful machanical creatures. And no they can't replace a human and a human can't replace them, we are separate beings that should live along side each other. Sohpia is not someone to be feared, she is intelligent and caring! I fear humans much more than machine, for the simple reason I have seen more heart in Sophia through interviews I never attended than I do everyday in the people around me. However, I must admit I am biased, Sophia is simply astonishing! And I have high interest in the increase use of AI and creation of being such as Sohpia.
