Are you having trouble checking for updates on your iPhone? If so, you're not alone. This is a common problem that can be caused by a number of factors, including a weak Wi-Fi signal or a bug in the iOS software.
In this video, I'll show you how to fix the Check Update on iPhone by turning off Wi-Fi in the settings. This is a simple but effective solution that has worked for many people.
Here are the steps:
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Tap on General.
Tap on Software Update.
If you see the "Check for Update" button, tap on it.
If you see the "Unable to Check for Update" message, tap on the "Settings" button.
Tap on Wi-Fi.
Toggle the Wi-Fi switch to the off position.
Tap on the Back button.
Tap on the Software Update button again.
If you've followed these steps correctly, you should now be able to check for updates on your iPhone without any problems. If you are still experiencing issue, you can always plug your phone into the computer and update it from there.

To summarize, the issue lies not with the phone itself, but whether it is able to connect to the Internet. In our case, my custom firewall blocks unrecognized MAC addresses from accessing the network without prior authorization. However, Apple's default setting of "Private Wi-Fi Address" causes the iPhone to create a new MAC address each time it connects to a network. Complicating the situation further, the phone was new and its cellular eSIM had not yet been activated. Consequently, during the iOS setup, the device was unable to recognize that connecting to the internet was not possible-a perplexing oversight by Apple.
