I've always wondered why you don't see water pumps at a Pro National event. Those puddles might be off the track, but it's still standing water helping to saturate the track dirt... Just another reason to wonder why it's called common sense and not uncommon sense.

You have no idea how expensive and difficult to install and run a sump pump at every low spot and evacuate the water to a reasonable spot would be. Also the legality of doing so is questionable, and motocross tracks are already an endangered species. You can't necessarily just divert the natural runoff of water without any consequences. many of them have housing developments slowly creeping up on them just waiting for them to slip up and make a mistake that could have them shut down.
