No its not really it prevents monster affects and attacks can can easily be negated or destroyed by spells and traps but since so many just run searchers and spamming monster effects. They can't do anything abt it. It like many continuous and field cards is vulnerable to those who have backrow interactions ready.

imo a combination of skill drain,soul drain and mind drain as well as wall of revealing light would better recreate a mystic mine at full power(meaning a mystic mine with you controlling 0 and your opponent controlling 1+, which is the typical mm gamestate) nice video regardless!

you could also force a +1 mystic mine board for your opponent with the black rose tokens/field spell. summon 2-3 monsters link off for 1 your opponent gets 3 tokens. even if you attack they go +1 monsters

you can use gravekeeper servant + macro cosmos/dimensional fissure and your opponent wont be able to attack like ever. if they want to attack they must send a card to grave as cost but macro/fissure prevents sending that cost

You still need all of Drain cards to copy Mine's effect. Mine is more powerful than this "cheap" copy. And most annoying part of Mine is, it's easy to search. . But, that Gozen/Rivalry + Ojama Token are really annoying. And it more toxic in TCG because players can use Mine too.

I used to run 3 Wave Motion Cannons and 3 Spirit Reapers, until I had to adjust due to updated banned/limited lists. I even had a Lava Golem in that deck. It used the Vampire Lord engine.

Twin twister, harpies feather duster and lightening storm wipes out mystic mine and heavy storm strap card as well Sam was fortunate not to run into any serious competitive meta decks because most meta decks have spell and trap card removals I run these cards in my main meta decks so I can have a clear board to win the game in one turn Sam still made a good deck though

yes my one or two backrow cards will surely out mystic mine, i sure hope he doesnt have a set judgement/dark bribe, i sure hope he doesnt have 6-9 backrow removal negates in his deck that he'll draw faster than i can draw my outs 🙃

Where exactly is the problem with mystic mine? Super aggressive Playstyle is being punished. So maybe a balanced deck as you suggested is better if you have a good chance of running into a mystic mine user, such as myself. My decks have outs, my decks are not flawless, because I choose to. I could make full lockdown. Hell when I am faced with a going second player I am screwed.

I hope it never gets banned in TCG. The meta decks need to chill with their 13+ extensions on there multi omninegate boards. Its sad people can play around niburu and ash etc but complain about 1 spell card that they need to just use a simple spell removal to beat.

Combo Wombo decks play it too. It warps deck building in a negative way. People do run cards that deal with backrow, but Mine forces you to have specifically S/T removal in the form of Spells and Traps. The only way to deal with it on your turn is in the form of Spell cards. Most decks don't have room to run more than 4-6 cards generic S/T removal spells dedicated to stopping mine and not brick a fair amount of the time. It's just a centralizing card that isn't healthy for the game.

well let me ask you a question can you search for a spell/trap removal. no so while I know I do have it in deck the game will be dragged out for long periods of time and even some times when it is found and goes through you might have another one or have more ways to get it back with demise of the land, metaverse, and terraforming hell you can even play planet pathfinder to search for it there could be argument back when the card was released but now with dark ruler no more, forbidden droplet both at 3 making those big 13+ extensions on there multi omninegate boards not powerful anymore

Makes the meta more diverse when you need spell and trap remove instead of just cards to interrupt your opponent on their turn dont you agree?

@@jbisckits the issue there is those cards do nothing against combo so when going second into those types of decks where you need every card to break them just one to many S/T cards can cost you a game. Let alone helping you build your board going first. The issue is with how the game goes now "speed wise" we don't have the luxury to run 2-4 back row removals against the most played style of decks, combo/board builders. If we didn't have to deal with one turn kill games, MM would not be a problem. I would say its the games structure overal thats the problem. But that's my two cents on it.

U destroy 1 then Enemy just Active another 1. Good luck draw ur out. Some Enemy just play field barrier in Mystic mine focus so u have to use cosmic.

Honestly, the only thing that Mystic Mine needs is an errata to make it so that it gets "sent to the graveyard" rather than "destroyed" by it's own effect. That way, it can't be protected by Field Barrier (which is where the degenerate burn strategies start) and will basically always be countered by Dark Hole.

I don’t think this card should be banned. I feel it’s needed in this style of yugioh. I hate just spam summoning with effects and link summons. You either win or lose in one turn most of the time now not a whole lot of back and forth happens anymore. The cards a problem for you duel now but in my opinion it’s style of dueling that’s a problem.

I love how all these metacucks complain about "Mystic Mine" being OP, while refusing to acknowledge that these newer cards link and chain themselves, with no other support, thus ending up with over 5 monsters on the field, while also having up to 20 counters, on the 1st turn. Does anyone know why, for me it won't let me activate my Ojama Trio or Duo cards on my opponent's Draw Phase. It makes me wait until my opponent actually places a card down. It screws me 70% of the time, because when they put down a monster, it makes the Ojama/Warlords/Gozen combo useless, because they are no longer locked into Light/Beast monsters, as they already have a monster placed face up. In this video, Sam seems to be able to trigger the Ojama Trap cards before a card has even been put down. Please, please can someone help. I have built this deck card for card, exactly as Sam plays it. Am I doing something wrong? I am a relative newcomer to YuGiOh!, been playing it now for about 7 years, and am still learning lots every day. Sorry for the long post.

reminder that eternal soul makes dark magician unaffected by mystic mines effect, and you can activate magicians souls in the hand so that isnt effected by mystic mine either. if you can get an eternal soul and a dark magician dragon knight out you can essentially make a board lock. all you need to do is hope they cant beat over him, worst case scenario, get magic circle on the field so you can banish the stronger monsters.

There can be only one in this deck is a bad card because doesn't lock the opponent from summoning their monsters since doesn't combine with ojama duo and ojama trio. Gozen and Rivarly are enough on this build.
