If he wanted to quant could've killed them all in a heartbeat and not make a sound. Scouts main duty is gather intelligence on enemies. To do this you need to move fast, be unseen and unheard. Pretty much like a ninja. And there's others that are stronger than him. There are more people that make it up to the top of the tower than I thought. There are a lot of Rankers acting as exam proctors. That's what these guys in the beginning didn't get. Quant may act like an idiot sometimes but he has made it to the top. And you never underestimate someone like that.
