Thank you. I feel the official documentation is lacking a lot of info and is often out of date so I intend on making a few videos like this. Always happy to hear about some shortcuts or tips that you use, that a new or casual player wouldn’t know about.

Not gonna lie you are missing a lot of things, being that I have played for over 2000 hours. Just hit insert to respawn. Insert is the easiest way to respawn.

I wanted to keep the video short but my plan is to make more of these with other tips. I don’t have anything like your playtime but I know from playing MP a lot of these tips are learned from other players. These videos are aimed at a beginner or casual player, but I’m always happy to hear any tips or hints you might want included for a future video. Did you know you can use a Xbox controller? Go through the hassle of mapping the buttons and you get a console-like experience. I got the "rewind" button on the d-pad, along with slow mo controls and change vehicle... Works great 😊

Yes I had thought about including that on this video but it’s certainly scheduled for a future video. I bet lots of players use the keyboard not realising that their console controller works much better. Thank you. If you have any more tips then send them my way.

I think they meant custom mapping functions like slow motion, rewind, and things that might not be mapped as standard on a controller.

@@Stewbacca3 All of those are mapped by default. slow mo is dpad up, rewind and recovery are dpad left and right, dpad down is ignition. The only thing that I added was the horn to the LS click.

hmmm... 1:15 for that I just tap Insert key once and it will automatically repair and place the car on it's wheels no matter how much I destroyed it. I had no idea that keeping Ins pressed will rewind the scene.

Thank you for your comment. I knew that insert key did this, but for beginners I tried to keep the respawn and rewind features bound to different keys to avoid confusion. I’m glad you learned something about holding the insert key down. Very useful to undo a mistake. If you have any other tips then please let me know!

I don’t know if you can download skins. You are stuck with what comes with the cars. You can paint your car and the number plate one is quite easy too.

you can just use the numpad 0 button to also respawn the car in the same position and it also make that location a spawn point. And holding the button makes the same as insert does

I didn’t know that. Thank you! I plan to make a series of videos with these tips that many folks don’t know about or forgot. The documentation is often lacking in detail or out of date so the new user or casual user won’t know many of these little shortcuts. Appreciate you letting me know.

and in replays instead of using the replay ui you can just use F2 to start recording and F2 to stop it. it is the same function but this way you dont need to see 1 more unecessary ui

Yes I did know that one. The reason I wanted to show the UI app was to show the slow motion features and the ability to scrub through your recorded footage for a beginner without relying on keybinds. But yeah, I agree the UI is a mess at times and I often just turn it all off.

Or you can just click insert to set a new spawn point too
