For anyone having trouble you need to make sure you have the protectron and assaultron torso. I was only able to do this when i had the protectron torso in my inventory and you need to make a new one everytime you do this glitch.
Using a settler is much better than companion, just talk to them and click the machine I did had some junk items from the suply line and worked for some time but consumed the items
Idky ppl are saying you need to put all your scrap in a container next to the robot workstation. You don't. I got it to work just fine with all my scrap in the red settlement builder workbench. The tip on using the d-pad instead of A is fantastic though! Very smart
Ok so i tested a few things out... you need to make a new bot each time... and the items needs to be in cabinent so the robot crafting bench doesn't use your junk to make em
Thank God you tested what he clearly pointed out, lol. However, you "don't" need to make a new robot every time you do this. All you need is a new protectron torso. The same robot will work forever..
I don’t understand what the cabinet is used for. Why do you have to transfer all of your junk over? I watched the video 3 times but I still don’t get the purpose of the cabinet
By transferring over your remaining junk you are able to repeatedly press the right button on the d-pad endlessly. Had you not then you would have instead run out of resources via the workshop and not been able to press the right dpad button infinitely. The placement of the cabinet is just for convenience sake.
Good to know, I will give it a go ,also I hope Bethesda will fix the quality mode on the xbox as its just stuck on performance mode, I was really hoping for an increase in quality, will have to wait and see.👍
Sounds strange, not seen that before or heard about it. That said maybe something may ahve set off a trap or something and in return you may have gotten some XP back.
@@TrappedInFallout thank you for the reply, is there a way to remove the old robot once you’re done with it. It’s been ages since I played this dlc so Ive forgot
Probably doing it to much like making the number to big do when u back our the game can't load it and crashes kind of like when you drop to many single items at once
I managed to get this to work once but now every time I go to do it says that I have 0 of the resources to do it even though I have thousands in the filing cabinet which I figured is more than enough anyone have any ideas I can't find anything online about this? Nevermind apparently replacing the torso from Assaultron back to Protection and then back to Assaultron fixes it
This might happen due to resources running out. Once you do it once, you should be able to repeat it again from scratch. So once you do it, go ahead and make another new robot companion and see what happens after that.
@@TrappedInFallout yes exactly, I realized I needed to collect the resources to make protection again, then back to assaultron, then proceed to the glitch. Thanks for the speedy response!
The only glitch I can't do, out all the DLC, Anytime i Download this DLC It Corrupts My Game And Permanently Makes it Unplayable until i redownload the Game And Manually Download All The Other DLCs.
Yeah, that's not gereat. I heard about the Automatron DLC somewhat making things unplayable - I wonder how that happened. Hopefully it will get fixed soon enough to allow folks to not have to worry about that. It's a great DLC.
Sorry to hear that. I am playing on PC also, this video was recorded on PC via Steam. As you can see it's working on my side so I don't think I have heard anyone say that this crashes on PC. Sorry but I am not entirely sure what to suggest as a fix. Have you perhaps tried removing and reinstalling the DLC to see if that helps?
@@TrappedInFallout yea it works like a charm with the ones I already built. But if ran into that issue o would definitely make a new one. Just though I’d say that it does in fact work with one that’s already built.
It may have worked but not shown the XP or perhaps you did not have the parts to build the specific bits of the Automatron. Other then this it should have worked.
There is the statue one but I suspect you may not like that one since that is the same as the shelves one. I can look into it and see of I can find something a little different.
Completing it will help as that also unlocked the automatron parts but you can pick up the parts yourself by taking out that type of enemy which means you would not need the complete before trying.
This can be tricky. Keep trying and eventually there will be a delay between the companion trade window opening giving you time to open the other menu.
The glitch does and should work with other torso items. At the same time it does appear to be commonly available and you automatically get access to it as soon as you complete the DLC.
That sounds really cool, sounds like a great way to level up. Nice work, the max level to get all Perks is 272 so you should be able to get all Perks and specials with your new method.
@@TrappedInFallout I meant to tell you how, work got me distracted. Maybe you can make a vid. So you boot up the vr creation workshop Use 4 floor pieces to make a big floor Add walls to make a "pit" Put 30 feral ghouls spawns inside the pit. Make stairs on the outside of the pit near the terminal Turn off invincibility or you won't get xp. Fire a rocket launcher into the pit netting between 10k and 15k xp in seconds
I'm not sure how I can help without the more info sadly. The said as long as you did the steps exactly as shown then it should be working. It's been confirmed across multiple platforms including PS4.
It works as of 6/22/2024 All you have to do is to find or make a brain torso aswell as the protectron torso and have the mods in your inventory and it should work just like the video describes. Just make sure you have the mods and it will work every time. (Not downloaded mods it’s basically modifications for stuff in game)
I tried this once for about a minute and it worked fine with just one mod in my inventory. Can you please explain why the two mods would be better? I figured instead of having to recraft anything I'd just spam right for a couple hours while I watch RU-vid and see where I'm at after but if there is a better way I'd love to know it😊
@@garyhyry7950 because once you exit the robot station the mod you used to do the xp glitch on disappears. The second one ensures you can do it again but you would have to select that mod on the screen when doing the glitch again
@@garyhyry7950 also you can just make another protection torso and switch it back to the assaultron and work just new. You just have to have the torso mod in your inventory or your settlement storage
Not a bad idea at all but that said I sort of already have a guide for it, check this one out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xHNWfM7p6c0.html That said I will try to make something a little more specific for it also.
Every time i perform the glitch i get everything right but it says i lack the requirements to creat this and then i get no xp any help? Update: I tried it again and figured out the problem. When trading and making crafting the robot press d pad down to torso d pad right 2 twice and highlight any highlighted mod and keep Pressing right on d pad. Should work then. Did for me brothers and sisters 🤙

Thanks for your comment. In the video that's pretty much what I said too. Press down on the d-pad, followed by pressing right on the d-pad twice and then continue to press right on the d-pad and continue to do that - hope it helps out everyone, thanks.
Just another 160 (ish) levels and you should have enough points to unlock every rank in every perk (not to mention become a walking God in the commonwealth).
As long as you followed all the steps then it should work. This glitch has been confirmed by a number of folks across multiple platforms after the latest Next Gen update.
After a bit of messing around I got the Glitch working but not how you said, I found it easiest to make my companion full so carry no more items. One crafted torso equipped and then have another torso mod available to equip,, having already removed all junk from my workshop and spamming A
I increase my XP gains with Resting and you can also use something like mentats. I also happen to be pressing the button as quickly as I can which also helps.
It's a fair argument. The robot workbench is literally the first thing you see when going into settlement build mode and you should be able to take things from there. You don't need to start the DLC in order to build the robot workbench.
@@TrappedInFalloutactually you do I had to hit level 15 in order to get the mechanical menace quest plus had to get a few more levels for those perks I told you about
Ah that's not good. Perhaps try just a couple of levels every so often. I've not heard of Fallout 4 crashing before then again glitches can certainly do that.
Most people store the majority of their extra items in the workshop, and only the junk is at risk in this scenario. Don't quote me, but I believe it has something to do with the glitch trying to craft hundreds of Assaultron torsos, and it might take the parts even though nothing's actually being crafted.
I'm new in the world of Fallout.. what is this Assaultron and what it does? How do i get ammo? I have very low resources especially ammo for weapon which deals poor damage..
The Robot workbench station is part of the Automatron DLC. An Assaultron is a humanoid robot that was originally built with the intent of combat. Ammo can be difficult to acquire early. I suggest taking the scavenger perk from the luck tree, as it greatly increases the amount of ammo found everywhere. Look for ammunition containers (small army green boxes that are much thinner than wide), because they're almost guaranteed to hold munitions of some kind, ammo or explosives. If you have enough caps, either legitimately or through glitches, you can purchase more common types of ammo from vendors. The type of ammo found or purchased usually scales with your level. So, at a low level, .50 caliber is gonna be way harder to find than .38, but eventually you might be finding mini nukes in some random raiders lunchbox assuming you have the luck for it.
@@The_GG_Janitor ok thanks buddy because i have found one of this robot inside of the Foundry and there is a terminal near to it. By hacking in it you wake up this robot but immediately starts to attack me don't know why.
The Glitch worked the first time but when I put my scrap in the file cabinet for the second time it says not enough material when I spam right D Pad and I didn’t receive any XP
@@joshuadelvalle7727did you ever get it to work again. I feel like putting all junk back in workshop storage and then crafting the robot again then transferring all back to cabinet is the answer but curious if that's what you had to do.
@@garyhyry7950 I re do it, like from the start but make sure you have enough materials to make another robot, bc it doesn’t work with the same one you made
Chances are yes but given that you will be spamming the button it won't really results in anything vastly different. You will basically have about the same amount of XP regardless of the torso you use. That said the glitch is actually you switching to the base torso so in theory it would be the same. The thing that effects the amount of XP is more likely to be your INT level.
Are you holding the right button on the d-pad or are you pressing It more times, the glitch doesn't work for me, It says that i don't have the resources for that.
This is designed to work once. If you want to do it again then you will need to repeat the steps from the point where you have built a torso for your automatron.
It should still work as long as you basically repeat the exact steps from first creating a robot with a torso. You would also need the resources as part of that first creation etc.
That might be because you need to be able to build the torso initially. Make sure that you have built the entire thing before doing the glitch (as shown really). I hope this helps.
Every level of intelligence adds 0.03% XP I’ve been using the duplication glitch, for X-Cell’s (+2 to every special), Berry Mentats (+5 INT), Daddy-O (+3 INT) and Captain’s Feasts (+10% XP for two hours.) My 29 INT equals 1.87%+ XP, I have a base of 10 INT and have all INT apparel on. Thank you for the sleeping tip 👌
Also found it easier to top out companions carry weight, and try giving them something heavy.. instead of swapping back and forth to get your things back
Thanks for Sharing. Your comment has got me thinking on how to maximum Int and to effectively experiment on what the maximum amount if XP one my get by busing what's available in the game. It might be interesting to do.
@nobodynothing282 the special glitch was one of the first things I did on this save, helps tremendously.. 10 INT base Bobblehead - 1 INT Night person - 3 INT Apparel - 6 INT (Captain’s Hat, Fancy Suit & Tie, two “sharp” leg armor, and Acadia’s Sheild) Berry Mentats - 5 INT (won’t stack w normal Mentats) DaddyO - 3 INT X-Cell - 2 INT
@TrappedInFallout i think there are some other pieces you can use such as eyeglasses and hats/helmets. Additionally squirrel soup gives you 2% exp boost for 2hrs.
Sorry for the offtopic but i need to ask you a question: there's some way to let the pip boy app works with a ps5 next gen update? I tryed with both android and iphone but sadly wont connect. Anyone got it works?
I need to craft the default torso it has aswell for this to work , torso will dissapear once glitch is working and im getting xp. so exiting and starting over the glitch i have to recraft the torso first not the assaultron torso tho. Hope this helps for those it aint working for
