How are yours so big already? Mine are still so small. :( I'm in Hollister, but I'm on a hill and get a lot of the cool evening wind, so perhaps that's it? My plants ARE growing, but nothing like yours. I started squash for myself and my grandma, who's in Gilroy, and her squash plants are easily 3' tall while mine are still closer to less than 1/2 foot tall. Any advise? Thanks!

Hi Audrey I am growing in Visalia and woul be curious as to what varieties of cucumbers you grow I am having issues with lack of production and taste. All my tomatoes were late getting in the ground because in late Feb I had eye surgery and lost alot of time in the garden. They are catching up this morning I had to start tying them up the cattle panel. I was sorry to hear about your chickens. I wish we could have chickens here in Visalia. Going blueberry picking this Wed. Thanks for your videos.

Hi Cathy, I always have really good luck with Armenian cucumbers. They are technically a melon but they taste like cucumbers but they never get that bitter taste that cucumbers can get. You can still re-seed your cucumbers now. I usually re-seed multiple times throughout the summer. If you have any other questions I'm always happy to help :)

@@AudreysLittleFarm Thank you the Armenian is what I am growing. They are a little fuzzy. When do you pick them? I am used to straight 8"s or tendergreen. I water deeply in the morning. The cucumbers seem dry and hollow inside. Not juicy at all.

Hi Cathy, that's odd, mine are never fuzzy. I am wondering you plant or the seeds you planted were cross pollinated. But when I do harvest mine I harvest when they are small, around the size of a tendergreen cucumber. But even when they're larger they don't taste bad but the do get more hollow and the seeds are bigger. Did you start them from seed?

Yes started from seeds they are from MI gardener. I have always had good luck with his seeds. I think I will pull them and plant some straight 8's. My Ashley cucumber are good have you ever grown them they are low growing but delicious. Thanks for the reply.
