Back in the day they used to let Scu n Pipe do the exact same every race and in Ireland they allowed Tony Mullins go clear on his Dad's Paddy Mullins horses like Scudamore did in Britain.. It was crazy. Oh and they were allowed the inside scraping the paint all the way round in every race, very weird..
What actually happened was it was just a strategic move. If a trainer/jockey combination decide to try to make all with a horse and go clear of the field, as one of the other jockeys what are you supposed to do? In my cases you're going to stay with the pack because most of the time the horse will weaken at some point and come back to them as it's expending it's energy too quickly. If you go off in pursuit you may well be slitting your own throat and your horse will weaken too. These horses were not 'allowed' to go clear and win it was just a strategy that sometimes worked and sometimes backfired.
You've got to love this commentators concept of distance. He tells us the horse is 15 lengths in front when it's more like 40 lengths. His next one though is approaching the home straight he tells us his lead is now 20 lengths when it's about 60 lengths. Amazing really
@@Thoth19 At the :59 point of the video he calls the horse 12 lengths in front when the horse is already 20+ lengths ahead. At the 1:20 mark of the video he calls it 15 lengths out in front, when the margin is legitimately 25-30 lengths. Use your brain Adam, not that hard mate.
@@stu3232I'm a MENSA member. YOU??? 🤣🤣🤣 Your point is irrelevant BROKE $ DUMBASS. I referred to the 20+Lengths part, where "More than 20..." does mean 30, 40...I will make $7M PROFIT next year! You?? Brain?? 🤣🤣🤣
I assume they were apprentices, but at the 4 furlong marker the chasing pack were still on the bit. The leader would have to do some serious “treading of water” to come back to the pack!
Did you ever see that 150/1 that did it a few months ago in ireland, led the whole way, the group catches up with it, you think its going to get swallowed but the jockey (second ride since 2015 lol) was merely giving it a breather and it ended up winning easily!
@@RustyPeng It doesn't ring any bells, but then again, I've always stayed clear of Irish racing, it's hard enough keeping up with what goes on in this country, there was a 200/1 shot went in a couple of months back (in this country) did the same thing.
That evokes memories of a turf horse we had here in the states named Precious Passion. Ran same style. Even finished second in Breeders Cup Turf one year. Look Up "Precious Passion 2009 United Nations" if you want to see probably his most impressive effort.
If you think racing is bent dont bet , whinging punters nothing worse ive bet for forty years lost a fortune and yes jockeys mess up but the person i blame is the face i see in the mirror .
Andy Smith: Totally agree about whingeing and bad losers, there were a few moaning after Royal Ascot, if they think it's bent then they shouldn't be betting.
@@a.kleeson2479 Thousands of winners but many many more losers and yes some pretty good days along the way , but whatever I won it would never be enough so almost always ended up giving it back .
Wow I think all those other Apprentice's will be have to watch this race by the Trainers concerned as to how not to ride ride when a horse shoots off on its own never to come back.
Always amuses me the "great ride" or "incredible run" titles. This is just a clear example of a horse being allowed to bowl along and the other jockeys just having no clue. It's a learning curve obviously but that's not a genius ride by any means.
@@paulconey252 Not really, if you read what I said again, mainly the bit about "other reasons". I would imagine 4 mares in foal in the same race(if that's correct) is highly unusual.
@@challloyd215 I breed them there is only a certain type that when in foal can run well. Can you go back far enough to remember a horse called soba it was in foal every other month
@@paulconey252 I never heard of Soba and a horse being in foal every other month???? But, I know Kenny McPeak had a famous mare who won in foal, can't remember her name. Personally I think either run a horse or breed a horse, but both??? I'm not really into the breeding aspect because I think mares are bred too often, every year until pensioned or they die foaling, seems excessive.
It looks like this race was fixed. There was no pace, horse in front was galloping, and nobody went after him. It would be normal if the other jockeys started moving their horses sooner. Clear a fixed race in my opinion
Disgusting 😂 the jockey in yellow still sitting doing nothing 3f from the finish. Its utterly pathetic they can post this rubbish and expect people to just accept that nonsense.
Being a mile ahead turning for home is the new way to beat the bookies. Stewards need to be pulling the jockeys of the rest of the field in for questioning as professionals shouldn’t be giving that amount of rope to any horse regardless of price.
Today at notts races delayed , yesterday an abandoned meeting ...Its struggling racing 4 and 5 horse races, fixing so obvious and more horses dying weekly....pull the plug on it as punters being screwed I'm afraid
Kevin says it's entered for 1.30 Haydock 30th June.Lets hope it's not like Sawbuck the 300/1 winner at Punchestown in May who ran a absolute shocker next time out 🤔
Ii knew there would be one idiot who said this. A massive conspiracy by all the other jockeys. In reality theyre all apprentices and they let it get too far ahead through inexperience thinking it would come back to the field.
@@mickeytheviewmoo Yes I do. The thing is youtube horse racing comments usually contain people making unjustified accusations of race fixing. If it was tongue in cheek ill let you off.
Itll be ridden out the back most likely.. and no one from that race or this one will be dragged in for questioning. It does seem theyve attracted the muppets to the game who will not allow others to voice a concern about this,, youll just be shot down with “tin foil hatter” and told to “leave our sport alone if you cant accept losing money.
I've said this time and time again we will never know what trainers jockeys and the handicppers are up to????????????can anybody else explain, no probley not so the moral of this is every one stop gambling on horse's to line someone else's pocket, then see how far they get, I will donate the first paper cup
Why have they not introduced a visual clock for jockeys to see. Racing is so dumb to understand for the younger generation that's why they have no interest! Fix racing so the profession can flourish.
They are all in it together, owners, trainers, jockeys and Bookmakers and it’s all funded by the punters, take the punters out and they are all finished
@@anttee90 no fella .....if you can't see that was a fix well lol....coz that horse went off favourite in its next race and lost ......I do know abit about the horses fella .....there's a lot of fixed racing
Thats one horse who loves his running hahahaha happened at Beverley as well recently-something in the air, hands n heels hm...the cynical part of me wonders whos birthday it was :D
Well I'll look at the odds closer to the day, but gonna have a punt on storm chaser on its next race..... the next entry is the 1:30 at Haydock on 30th June.
@@a.kleeson2479 your welcome Marra. Looking at the entries online for the race, storm chaser is up against bookmark which is another great horse with 3 wims from the past 6. If storm chaser runs like this race, I reckon it will win by upto 2 lengths.
Back in the day this was called a jockeys race, not one of the horses behind this leader made any attempt to catch it,if I could prove it,it seems the jockeys new before the race who was going to win the race, does not do the racing game any good when you see something like this.
@@johnflynn451 No they didn't - they' just haven't got a race clock in their head. Happens all too often in apprentice races. Terrible tactics to hold your horse up that much in a hands and heels race too.
