Just thinking of all the years, the weather, the time, conflicts.....these endured. Thats the most amazing thing.....these people are remembered with your tours......
This cemetery has everything and more. It has me speechless! I love the layout, the glorious statues, the gardening beds in and around the memorials, carvings and rows and rows of masoleums. This place is magical. How lucky you are to be there. I envy you! ♥️☘️
Thank you for another fascinating tour of the cemeteries, I love the elaborate artworks and can only imagine the expense to build the mausoleums. That place was once a very busy place with all the builders and stone masons constructing the structures. If I ever visit those countries I might rather tour the graveyards to see the amazing artwork rather than go down busy streets being jostled by crowds!
That was amazing! The statues are awesome, but I also liked the large trees. Bet it's a tad creepy at night with the different shadows...which probably says more about me 😆
Beautiful. But it doesn't matter how much money you have to build these amazing mausoleums. When your dead you are no better off than someone who has been buried in a coffin in the ground
Yea Dan, instead of celebrating life they seem to be celebrating death. Seems a lot of ego involved here, like the neighbours from hell, all trying to outdo each other.
The tomb which has a pyramid shape with a doorway where mourners enter and with a lion standing guard outside is a copy of a funerary monument designed by the great neo classical sculptor Antonio Canova - the monument was originally planned for the memorial for the painter Titian in Venice but ended up being the memorial for an Austrian archduchess in Vienna - where the monument can be seen today inside a church.
I think this is my fav so far Dan as it’s so light, bright and stylish. Their families must jet wash them on a weekend? You could be the 1st to have your own model cemetery which I’m sure people would pay to visit.
Buongiorno da Palermo. Il Cimitero di Corleone e' un altro bellissimo Cimitero. Grazie per questo molto interessante video. Dio Benedico con amore da Palermo.
Thanks for all your work bringing us these places we may never see for ourselves. The great statue of Jesus and money changers is quite odd for grave marker. Jesus, of course, wouldn't kick anyone down. Statue doesn't depict that. Thanks again.
I'm not a fan of Morden art I prefer the older art they can tell they put more effort into the detail and general design of there work Yet again anufer great cemetery dan
