The best of the best!!! I purchased coolify 2 last year but doesn't cool as advertised!! BUT this AICE3 really keeps me cool!! I live in Florida and work outdoors and this saves me from misery and helps me stay comfortable!! It's worth every penny!
Hey Mark, great to see you recommending this awesome product! I'm a pilot and spend a lot of time in the hot cockpit of airplanes. I used to have the Coolify2s, but the battery life was short and it would stop working if the temperature in the cabin got above 93℉. At the time, I thought it was the best neck air conditioner out there, but then I discovered AICE3 and it totally changed the game! It really works, even in temperatures above 100°F, and the battery lasts way longer than the Coolify2s. Thanks for the recommendation, man!
Well noted! Hey, Max, I am running RANVOO and am so glad to find our AICE3 flying with you, indeed helpful to you. That would definitely make a wonderful story if you would like to share more with us.
I got it recently, and you need to update to the latest firmware. In 90+ F degree weather the plates stay really cool and feels like a cold towel. Dont expect it to blow cold air in these conditions, but you do get very cold plates, which are doing a great job!
Yep, I used this in a heatwave in the UK recently and it was like having a cold pack on my neck. Very effective at cooling me down when a regular fan was not working at all!
I have a disease called mastocytosis. There are certain triggers that can occur that will make my face and body flush and eventually passing out needing emergency assistance. One of the biggest triggers I have is getting too hot. I have reflective umbrellas, wide brim, hats, evaporative neck cooling cloth, and a cheap neck fan. But then I saw this product and read other reviews including yours and now I have one on the way. Should be here tomorrow. This could be a very enabling device for me. and I’m very excited to use it. Thanks for your review.
Hey, Kevan, I am not in a proper position to recommend, since I run RANVOO, but I still want to. Please feel free to try them out. I see hella comparisons of both nowadays and many are not objective. I am confident you will find your answer aftering browsing carefully.
I got a coolify 3 but it was defective right out of the box. Wouldn’t stay charged, wouldn’t start even plugged into a power bank, kept beeping a lot and basically went bonkers. Also never connected to Bluetooth. Ordered the Ranvoo, hope it’s a better product.
@@ThatMarkGilroy it was 91 f in the school I worked at today. 32 C for the UK peeps. It was fully charged right out of the box and kept me so cool and dry. I had to attach it to a power bank, as I was using it at max setting and I needed to last for 4ish hours. But I loved being able to use it while it was charged as well as select the temperature of the cooling plates.
Hi Christian and thanks for watching! My understanding is that it’s thermoelectric cooling. When a voltage is applied to the free ends of the two semiconductors there is a flow of DC current across the junction of the semiconductors, causing a temperature difference. The side with the cooling plate absorbs heat which is then transported by the semiconductor to the other side of the device. It’s quite an odd sensation but it IS effective. And yes, whilst I wouldn’t use this with wet skin, this is safe!
@@christiankozma454 Hey, Christian, AICE3 is safe as Mark explained. And it also does good to health since it monitors body temp and blood Oxygen with its sensor in the back, so as to adjust cooling output accordingly before its too noticeablly cold, under AI mode. Yes, I run this brand and that's what my crew gets paid for. Hope you join AICE family and enjoy it! Cheers, mate!
You’ll get between 3.5-6hrs depending on how high you run the cooling. But it almost doesn’t matter as you can run it plugged in. Just pick up a decent size USB battery bank and you’ll have enough for a whole shift.
Hi Eric. I don’t fully understand the science behind this but when you use the device (esp on the highest setting) it feels like it does both. I THINK what happens is that the angle of the blowers blows directly at the plates, which then seem to retain the cool whilst the air is also blowing around your neck/head.
Update after 5 days use of AICE3: I am mostly controlling the device through my phone. Phone app needs a bit of upgrade I think. The device itself has a function control but is limited to me because my fingers are fat and touch sensitive monitor doesn’t seem to like my fingers for some reason so I am just sticking to my iPhone and app that is downloaded but it’s tolerable. One thing that does bother me a little bit is that the device interferes with my other Bluetooth device linked to my phone. I have to turn off my device and disconnect the AICE completely to answer the call or other callers can’t hear me speak for some reason. At times when I try to play music from my iPhone through my car and the sound came out was a cacophony of digital back noise and screeching and I had to turn off the Bluetooth on AICE also. Maybe there’s a way to fix this or maybe I need to play with its function more?
Hello, Ivan, sorry for seeing it this late. I believe the APP has got the "speaker mess" issue solved already. Hope you are enjoying our AICE3 well. It's getting burning hot everywhere now.
Hella pricy I have to admit. But no comparison to COOLIFY 2. This things beats it by million miles. I know COOLIFY 2 has the cool/heat paddings that works great but this one just feels much better and the flow even goes back of my neck unlike COOLIFY 2 that only covers neck and up. I just got mine this morning and I’m still playing with its functions and what not but yeah, so far so good. Hooked it up to my external power bank and it’s never ending AC. Lovin it so far.
Hope you answer this. Can you use it while charging it at the same time? The Coolify 2 shuts off the moment you put in the usb while it's on. I know the Coolify 3 lets you do it tho but what about this?
How does this cool? Does it use a cooling agent? Or does it suck hot air away from the plates from inside? Or does it use evaporative cooling? I on't understand how it can be colder than the surrounding air, if it doesn't use a cooling agent.
Probably a good question for the manufacturer BUT my understanding is that it’s thermoelectric cooling. When a voltage is applied to the free ends of the two semiconductors there is a flow of DC current across the junction of the semiconductors, causing a temperature difference. The side with the cooling plate absorbs heat which is then transported by the semiconductor to the other side of the device.
Hi Mark! How are you my friend? Not too hot now I suspect!! 😂 Fabulous review as always mate, and looks like a tidy piece of kit!! I could see myself wearing one in hotel rooms (I do a fair amount of travelling) as I’m always far too hot even with the room ac on! I did think maybe I could wear it whilst sleeping (I have a fan on every night) but suspect it would be too uncomfortable. Anyway, cracking review as always & will take a closer look! All the best mate.
Does the AICE 3 support pass-through charging for unlimited usage with an external battery bank? Purchased the coolify 2s because of this feature but would definitely return it and purchase this if pass-through charging is an option
It’s a fan that legit feels like AC. Check out my latest review where I get a bunch of strangers to describe it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nhf9fDGtvG8.html
Thanks for the awesome review! I live in Singapore and you can’t believe how hot it is to be living in summer all year round. Will definitely get one to try, but while we are at it, could you also share briefly how was your experience listening to music on this device since it has Bluetooth speakers? How is the sound quality for phone call and for listening to music, respectively? Would it get awkwardly loud for people around you? Does it work with smart assistants like Siri?
Hi Chen. Thank you for your feedback! Believe it or not I used to live in Singapore too (early 90s) so I know first hand what that heat/humidity is like! The quality for calls/music is, to be honest, not great - but fine if it’s all you’ve got. Think Google Nest Mini speaker level (volume and quality).
@@favourite212, i got the new coolify 3, so far so good, other than not being able to connect to the app at times, and a bit noisy on the ears due to the fan. It has a huge back cooling plate which aice 3 doesn’t have. You can check that out. I’m still waiting for the aice 3 to be delivered to assess which is better. This is my first time using such devices. I don’t get that “ice cold” feeling, which reviewers say for coolify 3, however it does feels cold, and makes walks in the sun more comfortable.
@@shrenujjain2213 I had the problem of aice3’s sensor area getting warm, so even though i find the cooling plates being colder than coolify 3, that sensor at the back of the neck getting warm is a sore point for me. Coolify 3 has no issues on cooling (fan is strong and has a huge back cooling plate), except buggy app and fan noise being a bit high pitch, and not being able to control a range of fan speed other than 3 preset speeds. I will choose coolify 3 over aice 3 because of the sensor getting warm issue. A cooling device shouldn’t feel uncomfortably warm at any part of the neck.
I just ordered both the coolify and this to compare the two and keep the better one. Other than app function does this cool better? Because that’s really all I care about in hot humid texas summers.
@@khaledsaadeddine I think the AICE 3 is much better for extreme heat, especially over 90°F or even 95°F. I think for Texas, AICE 3 will be far more effective than coolify2.
It is just under 500g, yep. It’s been a little warm in the UK a lately and I had this on for most of the afternoon the other day- didn’t really notice it at all. It’s probably a touch heavier than a premium pair of headphones.
@@ThatMarkGilroy, seems like it is a known issue, can also see amazon reviews with those comments on sensor area getting warm. Maybe this occur in later batches, as i got it later than you.
I know- it’s not cheap. There is the 35% discount with the Kickstarter. And I met a friend who’d had full blown air conditioning installed in his office the other day- cost 5x the price of this! Other coolers are available that aren’t as much but I haven’t tested them so can’t vouch for their effectiveness.
Yeah the price gave me a pause too at first. I too have an issue due to my thyroid gone so I have to regulate my temp as well. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and just YOLO purchased it but seriously, it’s much better than COOLIFY 2, for now (as I’m writing this, mine came in this morning so I cannot definitely say build quality is better or worse but this I’ll have to see).
No scam here mate. It’s my professional integrity on the line - it works. The reactions in the features part of the video were from the first time I’d switched it on!
If you have an Apple Watch there is no need for this product. Save some money and get the coolify 3 with an extra cooling pad on the back of neck. The back pad gets way colder than the sides of the aice 3. Also the back of the aice 3 around the sensor gets pretty warm and there is a direct hole to the fan so my gf hair sometimes gets stuck. The coolify 3 only takes 2 hours to charge and lasts up to 18 hours on minimum setting. It also has a heat mode that gets warmer than the aice 3 as well as dual hot and cold features simultaneously. If you don’t need the health features the coolify 3 is the better option. But this device definitely has more bells and whistles.
