This actually happens a lot in edinburgh city centre. especially with the druggies that hang about town, the cross whereever and whenever they feel like it and if you get in their way they will attack your car.
Counter point, highway code says: On a green light you may proceed provided the crossing is clear of pedestrians and it is safe to do so. The pedestrian shouldn't be there, but clipping them with the car by driving on anyway is illegal. Highway code gives a lot of benefit to pedestrians on crossings because you never know when a disabled person might cross slowly or someone may cross late/by mistake(seeing the wrong light go green), they're more vulnerable people and haven't passed a test showing they know how to cross the road safely, so they need to be treated with care to minimise accidents. Everyone involved in that situation was in the wrong.
@@scragar Persons that dash into the road are wrong, common sense declares the fact. We all know that there are persons that are disabled, slow on their feet, and, again, regardless of the high way code, should be allowed to cross in safety. The highway code is a set of rules that are made up, to reflect good and safe behaviour, to remind us to be careful of pedestrians and road users. Again, person must take responsibility for their own safety. You dash across the road, whilst you have a red, and you get hurt, it is your fault if the driver has just pulled off and you so close to their bumper
At 4:26 there's no way that's a learner driver. Notice you tried to speed up as the Fiesta undertook. Furthermore, a driving instructor wouldn't let you overtake that cyclist, that close to having to stop. Even more, the manner in which the cam car stopped was that of someone who was pissed off with the Fiesta driver.
Not the say the golfs driveing was good, but the biker should not be purposefully hitting someones car, this is just a fuck around and find out situation.
Yep cyclist hits the car, rides away & thought that was the end of the matter but no Golf driver wasn't letting him get away with that! Cyclist's face at the end says it all!
Blue car does well in that second clip leaving a safe space between the idiots.. Thats an example of GOOD driving, a lot would still get up the arse of the van
Hopefully he was charged, but I would add that the driving instructor getting out to walk round and take a photo of him when he has it all on dash cam is unnecessary and stupid thing to do.
I highly doubt it. My understanding of the Scottish police is that they are the same as the English ones in that they aren't interested in enforcing the law, and don't want to be bothered by it. That's why they do all they can to coerce victims of crimes into accepting apologies and other non-punishments for the criminals. Funny thing is, if you battered the road rager, you'd get arrested in a heartbeat.
That pedestrian punching mirror then chasing and punching drivers side window in what a moron, if that was my car after first punch to mirror i would get out an he be picking his teeth up from side of road when he wakes up lol
I once saw someone do what that Range Rover was doing on the M8. Forced the van to stop then got out waving his arms around and bouncing up and down until three chunky chaps got out of the front and another three jumped out of the sliding back door. Never seen a man move so fast 😂
2:24 Someone should tell TexasNightRider that in Scotland, like in the rest of the U.K., it’s illegal to carry pepper spray, knives, and even handguns ! Or maybe he thinks like a lot of Americans - that every country is the SAME as the US of A, or that there ARE no other countries OUTSIDE of America - I’m not saying they’re thick… oh wait, yes, yes I am !
😂 I thought the same thing. If Texans are that scared to go out for a cycle ride without carrying weapons, maybe cycling isn't their activity. I have never needed a weapon to go on any cycle ride.
The first clip sounds like the aftermath of a close pass followed by a 'physical reprimand' i.e. the cyclist giving the vehicle a deliberate kick or slap of some kind. Just show the footage and save the car-karate for your fantasy dreams.
Looks to me like the cyclist is after the sympathy vote from us all. He doesn't show what happened & mutes the recording when the Golf driver mentions about the cyclist hitting or kicking his car.
@@garyboyle695 Suggesting that all is not as it has been presented to us is *_not_* "justifying the actions of the driver". Don't put words into people's mouths just so you can have a go at them.
Watched clip… Discusses make believe scenarios instead of the actual clip in an attempt to justify the horrendous behaviour… due to a resentment towards cyclists… nice…
🇳🇱 here. Once i went to a kitchen maker and after that i drove the same street back to a connection road. In that street a car came towards my car. I slow down and stop to let the car pass. Then a guy from about 60 y/o, working on a house, bricklaying or so, comes to my car driving side, left, window, gets angry and with his full fist hits my luckily Subaru high quality window. It absorbs the big hit. I open y window 3 cm and say loud" hey, do normal. That is very expensive!". I did not know why he did it. But at the end of the street is a one way blue shield with a white arrow on it. But on my way back in the same street, there was not forbidden to enter shield. So the manwas probably very angry that an other driver, me, went the wrong way. Indeed, i did not think about the blue shield on y way back.
Hope the attacker of the car was reported to the police. The thug was fortunate enough not to get run over. Hope reported to the police as camera are generally present. The attitude, on this island is that you can walk through traffic, literally, as this pair did, if you wish to do so, and like these excuses for human being do not look
Was he after the bike itself? I thought it was because the cyclist punched the wing mirror or car but then again trying to understand what they are all saying is challenging.
why would anyone give up their property without a fight (thats the thinking that has allowed crime to get out of control in the UK) my bike is worth £4000 so theres no chance i would stand there and let that idiot try anything with me
