Someone’s gonna have to explain to me what the coach driver did wrong there! The cammer should have moved over - but he couldn’t as there was a police car coming up - so any normal person would just have eased off the accelerator for 5 seconds to let the coach join normally.
This one is a little difficult - the highway code says the coach driver must give priority to people already on the road and so should not have entered the carriageway in the path of the cammer. Rule 259 of the highway code says this "You should give priority to traffic already on the motorway" However - and it is a big however. Rule 259 also says "you should match your speed to fit safely into the traffic flow in the left-hand lane" Coaches are large vehicles which take time to get up to speed, the driver knowing this had tried to position themselves in front of the cammer to avoid having to enter the carriageway at a slower speed - given the first time the coach driver would have been aware of the cammer, this seems reasonable. The Coach might have expected the cammer to move right or reduce speed a little and give them some space - this also seems reasonable though not required. The Cammer was unable to change lanes due to the overtaking emergency vehicle - therefore could have reduced their speed a little and made this a non-issue. Given also that hard braking is not recommended for passenger vehicles (passengers and all that), most drivers would have reduced speed a little to help the coach out. So technically the coach driver was in the wrong - however the reality of motorway driving is that we all should try and help one another - the cammer did not help this situation at all.
@@gavinminion8515 in reality the cammer should of pulled out to let the coach in and either legally overtake or slip back in behind afterwards. By not he essentially caused a non-event.
@@monteceitomoocher Just simply change lanes as there was nothing in the right lane for miles and could've overtook the bus before the copper came pass
Tesla Autopilot Crash ..... the two vehicles were illegally parked obstructing the footpath. This is a clear sign that Tesla Autopilot is NOT FIT for safe usage on any roads. Well done to the driver for passing on their details - but in future - don't use autopilot!
7:14 ,, I will never know why someone would try and barge into a queue of cars just to sit one car ahead stuck in a queue ..# completely brain-dead driving. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
1:07 Clearly the coach is in front of the cammer and requires to join the carriageway, there are blue lights hurtling up behind you and yet continue, probably on cruise control, making you unattentive, nearly crashing into it and making a fuss over it. The twat driver, hopefully as instigated is the cammer. I drive HGV's, rigids and artics for a living and the standard of driving is appalling, getting worse and worse, it's due to the lack of traffic cops because of lack of funding. And if you happen to see a traffic cop, or more likely a DVSA or VOSA vehicle , all they pick on is the truck drivers. But some of them are utterly terrible too, giving the rest of us a bad name - pulling out and indicating at the same time whether there is something behind or not, tailgating to reduce drag etc. There, Rant over! :)
Why is it whenever I see the videos put out by you there are many that with a little thought could have been non events? Try slowing a little yourself and not blindly running on into danger.
The Cammer and the Coach, sound like a weird art film, though this one proves that having a dash cam doesn’t put you in the right. There was more than enough time to let the coach merge!
Seeing a grown ass adult on a scooter always cracks me up. One of the worst inventions out there. As for the second clip with the coach?????????? they really saved and submitted that? i see similar stuff every other slip road. 😐 And the channel is just as bad for adding it.
they didnt loose out because they were found at fault, they lost out because of the repairs they had to make to their own bike. if they didnt have insurance, then theres nothing to claim from?
@@whitemarmite Perhaps another reason why all road users should have insurance, i used to be a bike club member and we had insurance, not many cyclists will be insured unless as part of home insurance.
The e-scooter guy buggered off, according to the captions, so there was no one to claim from! It does make sense to have bicycle insurgence oneself though. I had £300 worth of damage done to my Brompton when my wheel hit a deep pothole. My insurance paid in full.
0:22 I find it interesting what the police are and are not interested in in the United Kingdom these days. I would imagine that a road accident that ended in injury with one party leaving the scene would be of interest to those who we trust to keep us safe from harm.
Too much paper work. They now rely on the public to carry out the investigations and provide evidence. Hence why without traceable licence plates the scooter just scoots away.
Here where I live in Germany, there are a lot of scooters. But they are insured and have number plates. And the rider most be at least 14 years old. In the UK it appears that the police are just lazy and don't give a shiz. Growing up in the UK I learned as a child and teenager, that the police are not your friends.
Yes. If one only sees the Fuzz (les flics) on blue light 'exciting' chases then at least over their cups of tea in a back office they should examine with due regard such video evidence as cyclists being injured and undertaking and brake checking mergers.
German government: We see something new which could cause issues - let's gather evidence, put laws in place, enforce those laws and review the results. UK Government: We see something new which could cause issues - but the duckpond in my country mansion needs a clean so I'll look at this later.
I live just around the corner from the Brooms cross junction and it’s an absolute nightmare! The junction is that big, that people constantly jump the lights and you quite often get stuck in the middle of the junction when the lights change. There were 2 crashes within the first week of it opening! Whoever designed this junction was obviously a non driving, over educated, under intelligent college kid!
The coach driver is not in the wrong, they were trying to merge onto the duel carriage way, and the dash cammer just sat there at the same speed, could of easily slowed down to allow the vehicle to merge on. The impatient person is the cammer, could not slow down a few MPH to allow a vehicle on... Ridiculous that common sense is completely lost with some drivers... xD
At 0:53, how ironic, it is normally the cyclist that gets on the bike and rides away never to be found and made to pay for what he had done. A cyclist did that to me, not in a way that I got injured but a nice scratch on my car that cost me £350 to have repaired. Cyclists should carry a registration plate and third party insurance.
I feel so sorry for the cyclist at 00:34, he was unfortunate to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The scooter rider should have stopped after the collision, but obviously felt no responsibility.
The 2 lanes merge into 1. Errrm no, the right hand lane ends meaning you have to move over to the left observation, mirror, signal, observation, move over when safe.
When joining a carriageway from a slip road. Give way to traffic on the carriageway. Having said that. I would have slowed and allowed the coach to enter.
Sadly there are a few drivers in this video compilation trying to say that the other driver/drivers are bad but there are the ones messing up as well! 😱😱 Driving nowadays it is like a circus, way too many clowns and none of them is making me laugh! 😂 😂 😂 Use the public road responsibly please! Obviously you will see a few bad "apples" amongst the good ones, so prepare yourselves, it is going to be a bumpy ride 😂😂😂 Have a great day 👍
To the person riding the bike in the first clip. If anything like this ever happens to me i realise how shit it is but i also wonder what could have happened worse to me 100 yards down the road..... I hope you recover fully soon and ride again ✌️
The very first clip shows why these E- scooters need to be legislated, insured , registered. Personally I would have them banned completely but that ain’t going to happen to happen.
The gentleman of colour, wearing a ski mask obviously didn’t want to be recognised, probably because he was illegally riding an electric scooter, which at the moment is illegal unless it is a rented one from a company licensed by the council.
0:32 No wonder the country is gong down the gurgler, how the police were not interested in this is amazing, wonder what the situation would have been if the roles were reversed! Also at 4:38 fabulous music! Thanks for these.
At 1:13, in what way was the coach drive impatient? he got in perfectly, what did you want him to do, stop to let you pass? you should have some thought that he has an long vehicle that needs to room to get into, you had a little car that could easily slow down and let him complete his entry to the road.
Highway code: Rule 259 also says "you should match your speed to fit safely into the traffic flow in the left-hand lane" Coach didn't merge Correctly, he should of backed off and merged behind the car already on the motorway.
1:50 arrives at a queue of cars and then tries to race away to get ahead of the first car, that then gets past before the merge point. So focussed on the merc cammer didn't even notice the pick up overtaking the lot of them over the hashed markings/opposite side of the road.
The coach driver should have given way and joined the road without causing other drivers to change speed or direction. These on-ramps are a dangerous design, the continental ones are better.
1:45 cammer and merc race away from the lights. Cammer bottles it, then hates on the merc. Both cars as childish as each other.....and no mention of the pick up flying round everyone over the hatched area.
Motorcyclist can filter , both the quad bikes are being illegally ridden , as a motorcyclist and car , lorry driver-rider I see car drivers deliberatly blocking motorcyclists by narrow minded posistioning , they should stop getting so hung up about being passed , often whilst rideing at the speed limit I will be passed by a car driver exceeding the speed limit and then find them stopped in front , and they do there best to prevent you from passing whilst queing .
Personally, I don't know why everyone doesn't buy old bangers. Doesn't matter when they get hit, or just scrape the vehicles as they sneak past when overtaking or merging🤣
Sorry Steve Moore but you are in the wrong. You clearly see the bus ahead and all you had to do was come off the gas a little and wait for the police car to pass then you could have overtaken. Instead you rush up to block the 15 tonne bus and expect him to slam on the breaks just to let you pass? You really need to be resitting your lessons again. This is terrible driving. Whats more you sent this in thinking you are the one in the right shows how entitled you really are. I would be embarrassed to show this to anybody.
I am in two minds regarding electric scooters and other pev, on one hand they are an excellent way of reducing congestion and emissions in urban areas. They need to be embraced as they will make up part of the transport system in the future. The problem at the moment is that there is a lack of legislation around their use. Currently I see these scooters being riden on footpaths, shared zones, cycle and bus lanes and in the road. Being ridden by under-age riders, with no drivers licence or helmets, (which are compulsory for pushbikes locally), and being ridden 2 or even 3 up. But because there is no legislation the police seem not to involve themselves. Also while it must be recorded somewhere who hired the scooter or for privately owned, who the keeper is, and the hire scooters are also gps tracked and geo-fenced, there should be minimal difficulty in identifying the rider/ owner. Overall what is required is for users to take responsibility and ride within normal road rules.
Coach clearly sufficiently ahead to have the right of way, camera car only had to slow, allow the police car past, then go past the coach. More than a few drivers with dash cams are somewhat righteous and pedantic.
I REALLY DESPISE!!!! these e-scooters especially those which are hired from the the likes of VIO the riders are most likely not to obey the road regulations. Riding on pavements running red lights & not shoulder checking & using the turn signals in advance or at all. not stopping at junctions etc, etc, etc. ☹️😠😡👎. They are a complete MENACE & HAZARD!!! to everyone else. & It doesn't seem to matter what so called rules they are SUPPOSED TO OBEYING!!! they still complete have NO REGARDS to others. & I'm still seeing two or three up on these things & under 18's as low as 12 (ISH) on them. I thought you had to have a FULL!!! drivers licence to hire one it seems NOT!!! or the so called company that hires these UGLY things simply DON'T Care as long as they are making money from the hire of these things. Personally I would love to see these things BANNED PERMANENTLY!!!! from our roads & streets. The are are causing more problems & issues & even accidents to others & all you get is a mouthful of ABUSE for it & then they ride away without so much as sorry or are you alright NOTHING BUT VERBAL ABUSE!!! & They come past you within inches & not a care in the world. As if they own the place roads , streets & pedestrian areas. They MUST BE STOPPED!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡 Because these incidents will get WORSE!!! if they are dealt with MORE SEVERELY!!!
They are an outright danger. The wheels are so tiny it's near impossible to ride them controllably. I used to see one being ridden through morning traffic regularly, and it was swerving all over the place.
wait did that cammer really want the coach to SLOW down at that point, he woulda had to have almost stop, dangerous. then merging to a highspeed road with no speed... even more dangerous... all because cammer cant apply reality to his narrow understanding of the highway code and slow TF down for 10 seconds. and its a wonder why I dont really wana drive trucks anymore after getting the licence... its pricks like this are eveywhere. they dont understand, and dont want to understand, that no every vehicle is capable of the same crap theirs is. (theses other reasons, but i can tolerate them, peoples driving on the other hand)
I think the clip of the scooter and cyclist shows that registration and insurance should be introduced for cyclists and either make electric scooters legal (with the same registration/insurance scheme) or enforce the law and confiscate all scooters found on public roads and pavements.
unfportunately that first clip with the scooter, he wasnt riding an illegal scooter that was a hire scooter, which if in one of the rental scheme towns is legal
1: 09 every week the same situation a vehicle joining a road, and the same they should have held back rah rah,, rant rant, highway code says they should give way to me ect,, funny I go past a junction like that I move over to let traffic on no issue no drama, back in dashcam land rah rah rah, rant rant. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
"move over to let traffic on no issue" other than you've just blocked a police car on blue lights. Maybe just ease up on the accelerator or knock cruise control off. I think that'd be a better option.
With one lane effectively being closed due to "the plod" with his blues on, there was really only two options: 1) Car slow down and let the bus on. 2 ) Coach Slow down and filter in behind the Car. Legally: The coach is an idiot for being a bully and refusing to slow down and follow the highway code. The Car driver is a idiot for not seeing a hazard (Blue lights) and a) either speed up to get ahead of the coach or b) slow down and let the coach on. There's an obstruction in lane 2 and getting that close to the coach is "must get ahead" and is stupid for no reason.
@kinkaito5433 interesting take on a simple conclusion, two lanes free for the car to either slow down or move over b4 the police got there and move back to lane one, allways gives me a bit of a chuckle people on utube making a simple situation more complicated then it should be playing verbal gymnastics trying to tie others in knots 🪢. 🤦♂️
@@paul8161 Cammer was barely travelling faster than the coach. Had the cammer moved out and overtaken the coach, the copper would have had to be slowing because of the cammer being in the way or slowing in case the cammer didn't move out of the way in time. From the coach being visible to the cop car going past was just 7 seconds, allow 1 second reaction time for the cammer to decide the best course of action, allow 2 seconds for the coppers to be reacting and braking in case the cammer doesn't move out the way and you're talking about circa 4 seconds to perform 3 manoeuvres, pulling out, overtaking and pulling back in. Absolute rubbish to suggest that 4 seconds is plenty of time. Do you drive? If so that's shocking to think that you'd pull out and block emergency services like that.
0:38 - if that was a car, people would be saying the cyclist was in the wrong. You know you lot cant resist attacking cyclists. BUT because its an e-scooter, the lowest of the dreggs, you're supporting the cyclist.
You can see the camer pull to the right slightly in frustration at the bike that was filtering coming the other way. There are a lot of people who don’t know that it is legal for bikes to filter when done with care.
The e scooters cause more accidents on the roads and footpaths and get away with it so my new Moto is you play in the road with no insurance,no tax,no licence,,play stupid games win stupid prizes I don't stop I have to play by the rules not anymore can't be one rule for one and none for others it's the same for all or take your chances but don't whine when the car hits you,if you're on the road you need to be legally there.
The coach is limited to 62 MPH. It cannot accelerate to stay in front of the vehicle with the camera. It is down to that vehicles driver to be aware of the coach and it’s limitations and adjust its speed accordingly. Check the Highway Code
4:50 doesn't seem to have a no U-Turn sign, so think it's maybe legit. Little loophole 😊 (Though not sure about the a painted arrow, and whether that's enough to dictate no right turns?)
At 1:10 yes, there are some twat drivers on our roads. Clearly the bus wants to join the carriageway, but if the cammer doesn’t want to show a bit of courtesy by slowing down a bit to let them join, then by all means, be a twat and claim the lane as your own.
🤦♂️🤷♂️..and yes the cammer could have moved over before the police car went past but wouldn't because he's like lots of others and read his highway code and it told him to jump off a cliff he would do that to,# blind logic.🤦♂️.yes some of the highway code is great advice ( advice being the word, ).some of it isn't...I would get if it's solid traffic on a motorway and it physically couldn't let the traffic on without smashing into one another, but a few cars could move over no problem. Doh.😂
Anyone not from the Christian Race is from the Tree of good and evil. Yahweh (YHVH) the creator God, who's name was removed 7,500 times from the Bible. ... Praise Yahweh, our creator, our savior, and through the flesh as Christ our kinsman redeemer.
no, theyre changing lanes. but also i dont get what the camera cars problem is. they can see the coach is going the same speed as them, and is out in front of them, the camera car has to decide to either speed up a lot to overtake them in time to allow them to merge in behind them, or slow down a bit to make it clear they can go in front of them
100% no. The coach has to give priority to the vehicles already on the motorway. The cammer had plenty of time to slow down and make it a non-issue though...
@pitophyllis pull across is the safer option on a duel carriage way/motorway. Slowing down creates issues further back and possibly an accident. The bottom line is, the coach did not have priority. Edited. The police car obviously did not allow them to pull across. The coach still forced right of way. Do that on a test and see what happens.
0:25,, sorry to see the innocent cyclist taken out by the muppet on the e scooter, get well soon ..and yes e bikes and scooters and probably cyclists need regulating.
@george-ev1dq not what I meant..eg they should have licences training and be insured like cars and motorbikes , e scooter arnt road legal and need to be used on private land , only legal ones are the ones In town centres licenced to be used by the public.
