Hi. I'm trying to configure a Cisco SPA112. Both lines are connected, when we call from one to side to another the telephone rings, but when we answered, there no sound. ¿Can you tell me what is happening? Thanks
I was given a CISCO SPA 122 ATA adapter. Is it possible to set up a two different adapter on the same network. 1 with VOIP adapter 1 and 1 with the SPA 122 ATA adapter. It looks like the internet connection prevents me from doing it.
Hi, I want to know: at 3:33, your video says "this is plugged into my computer now..." So to run the initial setup you connected the ethernet patch cable from the WAN port on SPA112 to the LAN port on your PC? I ask because almost EVERYONE has an issue when you connect the SPA112 to a router or switch. If I connect it to my home switch, there is no way for me to access the "Phone Adapter Configuration Utility" from a PC (or Mac) that's on the same home network. I wanna understand how this is connected at every step you take. Thanks!
Also, at 4:18, you don't mention if you disconnected the SPA112 from your direct link to the PC and connected it to your home switch or router. Is this what happened?
I initially connected this directly to my PC and used the DHCP server on the SPA to get the 192.168.15.x network. After changing the network settings on the device, I plugged into a switch on my network, which is the 172.16.1.x IP, and continued the configuration. I had some issues initially with the network service node. I ended up setting that to bridge mode and it has worked flawlessly since. This device can be used to talk to a SIP provider at a public IP so I think the assumption with the default settings is that it would be used that way. A bit of finessing the settings for local use is what it took for me.
@@mostlychris I’m using it as a phone line simulator, one line has its own number and the other one has another and you can dial each one, my issue is that the dialtone only last about five seconds which means you have to mad dash type in the numbers or have speed dial
I don't believe it has the capability for that. You have to have specific hardware and protocol support. I'm not an expert in zoom phone so I could be wrong. However, I don't see a way a connection would be made.
In order to use local analog phone network, can I connect a phone cable from the adapter to a local phone connector ? That way would allow other phones to be connected on this phone network?

I looked at my router to determine what IP was assigned. Not sure about the user/pass. I don't know what things you configured on the SPA, but since you are asking this question I assume you did not change the user/pass.
