I was 18 when I had my first child. I'm 58 now. My family was awful about it. Everything and everyone were awful, except the love between the baby and I. I'm so happy that your children are being born in joy all around you. It was hard for me but I made it, that child is a 40 year old 3 time veteran of the Iraq War and a city police Lt. I'm so proud of him. We are good. Blessings to all mothers everywhere....

Just a word of advice. The best thing to dress baby in when they are newborn is those gowns. Being a new mommy learning. Babies need changing a lot so just makes it easier to change especially in the middle of the night when you are really tired. Granny did a beautiful job on those outfits

In the 6-9 month you're getting into they try to walk (pull themselves up on chairs & coffee tables) if they dont have anti-slip foot bottoms you can put puff paint in the "sole" of the feet so avoid slippage 😉

I have five children (and five Grandchildren) My favorite gift when I had my first born was the most beautiful mint green and white large crochet blanket from my sister made me I know she had to have lost sleep worked on it on her lunch break she was working 2 jobs and she had 2 small children and took care of her grandmother. She knew I really wanted one of her beautiful blankets but I didn't think she would have the time to make it. I used that blanket for all of my children and we have used it for all of my grandchildren. Your granny is so sweet

I want to recommend (in case you don't already have) sleep sacks. They come with zippers, drawstring, or just elastic bottoms. But, during those first months when I was so sleep deprived, those sleep sacks were a godsend! The little vintage style outfits!!😍 How precious! And Granny's crochet sets will become treasures that you can pass on to your grandkids someday. My oldest is 22 and I still have her blankets that family members handmade. Seeing the two of you with your little sweet baby bumps just makes me cry happy tears. 🥰 May the Lord richly bless you both on your journey through motherhood! 💞 Love you girls!

Just reading this I'm thinking with all the prayers you may not even have labor pains!! Just some sign,then he's here!! A friend of mine through church had hers older. But she said she only had a pain or two,she got to the hospital and he was born!!! He's married now,got married older and a wonderful man! His wife is an organist and piano player for a Pentecostal Church.

Let me just say this...I "thought" I had more than enough//as a first time Mom, Before...delivery. You will be gobsmacked at how many clothing items you're going to go through...on a regular day🤯🤯🤯 None of which includes; blowouts, puking, etc. Take what you're offered. You can always donate anything "extra"👌

You both have great taste in baby clothes, ladies.:) You’ll really use those zip up cotton sleepers too, because like Katie said, you just want them to be comfortable. I also loved the panda pants, especially in the warm months, because my baby could wear a onesie, with just the panda pants, and they were so easy to pop on and off for diapers or according to the weather.:) God Bless!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I agree about the receiving blankets. You can never have too many! Also, bibs!! You don’t want to stain all those pretty new outfits! Get lots of bibs.

You absolutely must get pictures of your boys in their matching outfits made by hand for them by their great-grandmother. Some day when they are old codgers themselves, that will be precious to them. And you know, I expect they will still be close. I'm praying for Corie and Austin to sell their house so they can move closer, so those two little ones can grow up within walking distance.

ladies, those rompers and onesies will be ya'lls best friends when changing diapers! I took my step daughter to a yard sale 17 years ago and wee found 3 boxes of baby clothes (no stains and most still had the tags) each box was 2.00 dollars so we got about 50 outfits from newborn to 2 years, for 6 bucks!

Girls, we always called the long sleeved, footed, zip up onesie a sleeper; the short sleeve short legged onsie is a romper. The clothes are so cute. You might both want to invest in several onsies like Granny got you. They are wonderful to keep baby from getting naked when wearing pants and shirt, keeping diaper in place, etc. My babies wore them for a year and in summer that might be all they wore. The mist handy garmet I ever had.

Congratulations to both of you! The outfits Granny made are adorable. When my daughter was born, my great aunt gave me a pair of little shoes that my Great Grandmother (who passed when I was five) made. She was great at crochet, like your Granny, and she left behind little shoes she made for her future grandkids that she knew she wouldn't get to meet on Earth. It's so easy to get caught up on buying tiny baby clothes and you forget they grow like weeds. I suggest buying all signs ranges!! Sometimes, they completely skip a size range and the bulk of tiny clothes cant/won't be used.

What cute, colorful baby clothes! My favorites are the ones your Granny crocheted, especially using that nice blue variegated yarn. Wait for all the compliments when your boys wear them!

The Children's Place store has really good sales and adorable styles, even shoes. It's online and they have stores in NC. Putting their coming home outfit in a shadow box and hanging it on the wall or standing it on a dresser / shelf where baby will be is a sweet reminder of their first week. Granny's outfits are so precious. Made me tear up, just very sweet. My Memaw and mom had crochet as well and did that for me as a baby, then for my dolls including baby booties.

I have 3 daughters and usually when a baby is 3 months old, they wear 6 months, and when the baby is 6 months old, they wear 9 months, when they are 9 months they wear 12 months. I have 5 grandchildren and it worked for four of them. That’s why I say usually. You both are so very sweet. It’s great that you have each other.

I also recommend worship music for nap times. It was a great routine. Same songs every day lol but it helped also with long car rides. My hubby trained them all and says "it's time to nap now let's get your pillows and blankets ready and when the music starts we don't talk anymore and nap!" And they all do it at the same time haha pretty cool! I also recommend the books "Grace Based Parenting" by Tim Kimmel and "loving your kids on purpose" by Danny Silk!

They do shrink, and look big but fit. The hands stay in and it’s nice for when they sleep. Those all day jumpers are so nice.

Gift cards are always a blessing to any new mom. They'll use them along the way, diapers, medicine, or whatever pops up.

In the UK we used to call those ‘jumpers’ , baby grow, now more folks call them onesies. The hand cuffs do work to prevent baby scratching face.😊

My Sons are 51 & 49 & I still have there Dipper bag fully loaded with there little shoes in it 🎉

Love the clothes, colors and patterns! And they're not the cookie cutter look , they're different. The one little shirt with the gold and brown pattern, matches the top you have on. The crocheted outfits are priceless!! Granny is awesome,SO talented! The babies can both change clothes many times a day and never wear anything out!! Your daddy is so excited and cant wait, doing everything he can to get them here!! One thing for sure grandma and grandpa will have one to play and have fun with til the second one comes!! When our first grandson was born,jje was born at home. Snd he was premature!! He weighed four lbs!! But did fine loved the waterbed slept well!! The midwife hadn't delivered very many but ywo older midwives were there. My husband, grandpa,was do nervous, worried,hed be sitting with his head in his hands,leaned over next few minutes I'd come tell him something he was GONE! Back outside!! Now that baby is 40+yo,five children of his own! His two girls yhe oldest children are on fb Stephanie and Victoria. Theyre so smart,learned to crochet,knit,play the guitar and piano,selftaught!! They're so sweet pretty!!

So fun to look at the baby clothes. A little advice, it does not hurt to have extra clothing for little ones. They have accidents ( leaky diapers and blow outs) . A couple of extra cribs sheets is a good idea also! Love y’all so much, y’all are precious!❤

This is one great way for your followers to honor you all and benefit new moms who have limited resources. I work closely with a local one in East TN and there is a great need. Love you all! Thing about the mittens to cover baby's hands: yes the baby can scratch themselves but they can't feel anything of their hands are covered. It's very healthy for their hands and even their feet to be exposed to the air and different textures.
