Unboxing $15,000 of VIDEO GAMES (My Biggest Unboxing EVER?) 

Read this before commenting about grading games: This video was filmed before the video about wata and heritage. Shout-out to Karl jobst for the well done video about wata games and heritage auctions. What do I think? Wata, heritage, and some individuals within each company seem to have a hand in market manipulation and some practices that are unethical and potentially illegal if proven true in some cases. What am I going to do? Take it day by day. The market will not go to zero, but it will likely be affected to some extent. Certain games and items will most likely go through a market correction. There is no clear answer for what to do moving forward, but caution will be used with how to proceed moving forward with grading games. I did recently send a fairly large batch of games to wata before the video was released… so it is what it is as far as that goes. I also have a large batch that I have been waiting to send to VGA and will send those off as soon as possible. That being said, VGA’s printout submission process is ancient and awful. It needs to get better. They are a good grading company otherwise and could come back as the number 1 option if they improve their weaknesses. What will happen to graded games? I think the truly rare sealed games may see a rise in price, while the less rare sealed games may see a steady decline in price. VGA may see a bump as they have no evidence of market manipulation and have been around the longest. Competitors are rising and hopefully a good 3rd option will come to the forefront. I MAY still grade with Wata as I think they do still have a lot of good people within the company and MOST of their grades are honest and accurate to the best of that graders ability. Their submission process is also excellent. That being said, I will take it day by day and make decisions with caution. In general, many sealed games are rare to have in excellent condition and should be valuable. Grading is a good thing if done ethically. Competitors will emerge and I am hopeful for what the future will look like.

You guys got real lucky on this one; with that being said I've always told my kids that good luck is when hard work meets opportunity. You youngens have definitely put the work in.

I believe those MK cartridges are for the innovation mortal kombat control pads you have boxed. They should have all the special moves on it for the turbo control functions.

That Spyro GameCube game very well may be authentic. I got a sealed GameCube game from my best friends childhood collection recently and it had the shrink wrap seal, but all of the sold and listed on eBay were the same. Looks like the same goes for that Spyro game at the moment

Ok so the mortal Kombat 3 cartridge 5 with Liu Kang and Kano brought back so much nostalgia. The cart just goes into the back of a specific gamepad. And basically whichever character is on the cartridge for example the one with Liu Kang and Kano. You could program combos with one button for those specific characters. You can also program one button fatalities. It was kind of like a game shark, before the game shark. I haven't seen one in years. This is such an amazing video.

Thats how all the PS1/Dreamcast stuff I got from this auction was. All mint and virtually unplayed. The main reason I paid up. I did run into some more burned games than expected, but it was mainly the low dollar stuff. Sealed was a Bangai-O, Tomb Raider III BL, Spyro year of the dragon 3d cover BL, Red Dog and some others.

I have sold just game boxes for some decent money. Also sometimes just the instruction books sell also. I sold "The Hunting Starring Polterguy" Game Case only for Sega Genesis for $25, 7 months ago.

I have 2 copies of the spyro game for Gamecube from here in Canada and it also has the shrink wrap. All the others I've seen on ebay had it as well, it appears as that is how it was sealed from the factory so it might be legit on yours.

I think the mortal kombat cards go into a special mortal kombat controller. I think to unlock stuff. Seen it in a video before. Awesome games and video 👍

So the reason that collector probably had Mortal Kombat versus DC on PS3 as a European copy is that the joker and Kitana’s fatalities in the US version were censored from what is in the European and Asian versions. The ESRB T rating is 13 whereas the equivalent rating for Europe and Asia is 16, so there were a lot of people like me that imported that version of the game since there’s no region lock on the PS3, and the game had no DLC so you didn’t have to worry about creating a foreign PSN account to get additional content to work.

The video game display boxes are probably worth more then if they were the original with disc in it. I purchased Halo 3 at a garage sale and the box ended up being a for display only case. I sold the case for $100 on eBay.

Those MK display cases may actually be worth more than if they were the standard copies with discs. I am not big into MK, but I have all sorts of shop displays and advertising for my favourite franchises such as Metal gear and they are not cheap. I am sure a MK collector would pay up for those, do not list them too cheap :)

I once found the suffering sealed at a pawn shop for 2 bucks that went for I think like 80 I sold it for.

The n64 staff is pretty sick.

Beware even though that persona Q1 on 3DS is sealed, many copies of that game are no longer playable on 3DS because the cartridges used for that game and a couple of Pokémon games that released in November 2014 seem to be defective and the games will no longer boot.

Mortal kombat cards are designed for and were part of the mortal kombat kontroller programmable pad

The Mortal Kombat Kartridges plug into a special control pad. They allowed you to do special moves with a single button input. Edit: The ones at 31:15

I can’t remember if it was your video or Phoenix’s video that I made a comment on this about before, but the halo 5 collectors edition was all digital codes for the game & extras. You might want to try the download codes in the silver box to see if they still work. Worst case scenario you can try to pick up a cheap copy of halo five like I did at target to throw in there to help sell the collectors edition. Beware of trying to sell it on Amazon because before that was listed when you looked up halo consoles on Amazon, and I had two or three people buy it then ask for a refund thinking it was a console and not just the collectors edition of a game.
