animals have to be sent with overnight shipping so it would only be about two days

@@MichaelCS146 every animal I have gotten comes over night morning delivery and they don’t drop it off until around 4pm the day of shipping so the animal usually is in the package for about 14-18 hours.

I just ordered a snake. Dude dropped it at the fedex hub at the airport at 7pm and I was able to pick it up by 9am so it was in a box for 10 hours. Next time know what you are talking about cause it makes me you look foolish

If you love to keep reptiles and meet someone who doesn't tell you they don't like reptiles and would never want to keep any until you're already DATING you should break up with that person. He doesn't keep crickets if he can avoid it, he mentioned in the past he hates the smell from them and the noise that might be an escapee cricket, he's had a few of those(or a picky reptile again, refusing anything but crickets)

I too had this experience. I have reptiles and the crickets, dubia, and mealworms to accompany them and just realized I can not hear them in their new (of several months) bins.....

MaMiMuMa well they hand warmers are extremely hot plus there was two of them but they only last like 2-4 hours so it most likely got way to hot and then way to cold

Had a planned power outage yesterday. Used handwarmers for Sahyu(leopard gecko) and eventually myself. I also have a temp gun and even after putting it in a winter glove it was over 100 on the surface of the glove. Had to double the glove to get it down to lower 90s for Sahyu. For some reason she still went back into her 64 degree hide. Weirdo.

My leopard gecko is 8 years old and after 25 years of reptile keeping, she has shown the most awareness and intelligence of any herp I have ever kept. She responds to her name and seems to want interaction. I will have to disagree with you.

The XL are said to last "4 hours" and they get extremely hot! I used them all fall for deer hunting in my boots and in my gloves. A few times I had to remove them because of the amount of heat they produced! 👎👎👎

I hate seeing sick and horribly taken care of animals, but seeing dumb shit like this kill an animal is just so much worse

Moral of the story use the correct heating. if you mess up and need another, ask for one. Doesn’t matter if it’s going to take an extra week to ship 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@dafucksgoinon he didnt actually drop them off the table, he is actually very caring of the animals. The ones you see him hitting off the table are empty boxes because they get lots of boxes, so they just keep them.

It’s more about them escaping. Snakes in water pipes, etc. Even some apartments ban aquatic pets due to a potential leaking hazard. It’s stupid because the people who actually take care of their exotics will have an extremely hard time finding a place

Empty boxes. settle animals. step two: go back and film the intro with the empty boxes. you can even see several have loose flaps at the top and he clearly cuts into tape on all of these...

Whoever shipped that poor lizard was an idiot either way he would’ve killed him/her. Too hot or too cold I don’t really get what’s so hard about using the correct heating pads and the correct amount of them. Like it’s a living breathing animal would it really have been such a hassle to do it properly. I’m honestly furious

Age doesn't necessarily matter too much (unless you are so young that your parents are the one's making the decision ultimately). It's common sense that matters. And a lot of people lack it to an extent where I seriously wonder how THEY have survived this long, let alone them owning an animal which, quite frankly, I find scary. Some people are just damn idiots. And they come in all ages.

I've had my reptiles for nearly 2 years now and I'm currently 16, my grandad owns a reptile shop and takes in and rehomes reptiles so I guess I haven't had to learn how to care for a reptile on my own, just years of sitting on his counter as he helped new reptile owners I guess.

Age to care for a reptile/animal: 10+

I was 15 when I started and none of my set backs or mistakes ever had me lost a reptile. As long as you care to learn and always do research you can do it right at almost any age.

@@thefullmetalallosaurus exactly. The only aspect that could be harder for people that are younger is the financial side. That's another thing to consider, the younger a person is, the more dependent they are on their parent(s)/guardian(s) to be fully on board emotionally and financially. But doing research is really the big thing. And I see so many adults miserably failing on that. As much as you should financially be able to care for an animal, just because you have the money doesn't mean you should get it either. Essentially, having an animal is a privilege and not a right.
