I just picked up one...I have not yet unboxed it. I believe you are not supposed to run with the flush kit going. You need the the ear muffs on the lower unit. They say you can damage the motor ! Flush kit is for flushing only.
@@MegaPancakes I had to get a jack plate to get the engine height perfect. My transom is a weird 17 inches tall. Short shaft version was too short. Long shaft was too long without the jack plate. Other than that it has worked flawless for the last 15 hours. Starts right up, uses hardly any gas, quiet as heck, and plenty of power. I can go fast enough for my skill level with 3 full grown men and fishing gear in the boat.
Just ordered one of these outboard Motors for my 14' aluminum boat. Upgraded from a 1976 Evinrude 25hp 2 stroke. Looking forward to getting it. Great channel. Looking forward to watching more videos while on lock down. 😂
I’m really digging these Suzuki vids ! I run a Yamaha T9.9 as a kicker on my Walleye boat and it’s an amazing motor but I’d like to see a comparison to Suzuki’s 9.9 BTHL2 as it’s probably just as sweet.
Great presentation. I have a 13 foot inflatable caterman style boat from True kit called the Discovery. It is stamped for a 15 inch 20hp outboard. I really like the ccs (432) on the F20 (closet dealer to we’re I live) but 126 lbs. I will be taking this motor on and off. The next dealer has Suzuki, Mercury and Honda. All around 100lbs. Honda has the biggest cc’s but carved and around 500 more. Suzuki and Merc look spec to spec the same. Leaning towards the SuzukiDF20. Your thoughts- reliability, performance and function with manual tilt. Thanks
Rated for 20hp two stroke, but that 4 stroke is same weight. Cool unboxing vid. We have zuke dealer in the entire state vs dozen merc/yam don't want a two hour drive to the only dealer here was my reason for mer and yam other wise this was in my list. It came with mount bolts damm
Might get the same engine for my skiff. What does she push her at? Also, how is the fuel injection vs a carb motor. I like the honda a lot but it has a carburator. Thanks !
We don't have an exact mile per hour of it but she sure rips according to the customer...he loves it! As far as FI vs Carb, fuel injection is the way to go...hands down!
@@TeamMarineService How many hours after initial break-in does the lower unit require an oil change, as well as the motor oil after the same break-in period? Thanks, FK
@@garylaubscher4487 The angle of the video shot might be throwing ya. The customer loves it and has been raving about it. We can get you in touch with him if you'd like.
I bought a new 3.5m v-nosed punt with a 15 Mercury (Tohatsu). The dealer fitted a wooden block about 1/2 inch thick to set the height. I tried it once without the block & had sheets of water spraying back over the transom. Amazing 😂
