Hi everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my channel!!! In this video I'm doing some plant unboxing!!!
I was recently contacted by a company called Plantstop USA Corp. They asked if I would be interested in picking out 3 plants from their website and then they would include an additional three plants, all for free to me, if I can unbox them for you. I said definitely :).
Some of the plants I will be unboxing are wishlist plants....plants that I have wanted for awhile and I'm super excited to have them. In addition there are a BUNCH of Hoya. They all suffered in shipping but I have high hopes that they can pull through and eventually be stunning show plants.

The variegated chiapense is STUNNING 😍 I hope the imports do well for you! I’ve successfully restarted Hoyas from wet sticks (it takes quite awhile) so that’s always worth a try if you lose all of the leaves. We're not here to judge your business decisions, Gena. It's your call. Personally I’m really excited for you and look forward to an update on them.

We're sorry that the Hoya gave you so much brief, but we are thrilled with your mom's. Sarah the arrowhead plant. I'm so surprised that the 2 plants came out. Even with that just shows that you picked 2 perfect plants for this. I told you you inspire. My collection so much we both have a rip salad's paradoxical now. Oh, funny. I know you know what I mean. I look around my sunroom in so many places. We missed your DMG trips on Saturday. No I mean Tuesday. And we're hoping you are both OK.😊😊😊

I placed an order with them before I checked to see if there were any unboxings on YT with this company. You and PeggysPlants are the only 2 YTs that have done videos. You need to watch Peggys video, Her plants were sent in nice plastic containers, in dirt, hoya was in a plastic container packaged very well. Not sure why yours came the way they did. I’m trying to be optimistic for my 2 hoya that I just purchased. Thanks for your video. It was helpful for me.

Hi! Maybe Peggy's plants were received after I got mine and they made adjustments to how they ship their plants. That's the only thing I can think of. The nice thing is, I was able to rehab all but one of the Hoyas, and the other two plants have been beautiful from day one. I'm sure your plants will be great :). I'm so glad this was helpful!!!! Thanks for sharing and if you want to, I'd love to hear how your shipment went, once they arrive :).

Beautiful Albo! After seeing how bad the hoyas look I won't order from that company. Glad you didn't have to pay for them. I will continue to get my imports from Tropicalplantsales. Never had a problem with my plants from them and they are alot cheaper including shipping. Thanks for sharing Gena🌴

I’ve never imported plants but have watched other import videos that have been much worse. At least none of the plants were mushy. Good luck with the rehab, I hope they all survive in your care. 💚

Glad you got an Albo; it looks great. The Syngonium is so pretty too. Sorry about the Hoyas. I’m surprised they didn’t send you better specimens since you are representing their company. I’m super excited to have the Monstera albo and Syngonium Chiapense. I’m certain it was just an unfortunate unintentional mishap. But they are still lovely plants. I love it when a plant seller offers RU-vidrs that I love some free plants to have a unboxing. While the hoyas were a little rough i know you can get them beautiful again. And since these were originally imports maybe they are not happy shippers. I might look them up and try them since they are so different and i wouldn't be able to afford them if i ordered from importers. ❤

Hi Gena sorry about plants! I don’t think this company actually acclimates plants! I’m pretty sure they get them check they are not rotted then send out, if acclimated why still in moss with very dry roots! They would likely be potted up. Feel like it’s a scam, seen it on another you tuber. Work your magic on them❤ where did you get beautiful round wooden egg cup looking table has a big Hoya on it? It’s absolutely beautiful! I was thinking they missed the acclimation part. I don’t know if by accident or intentionally. Maybe it got accidentally missed? Who knows, but hopefully if they watch this video it helps them for future sales and what to do or not do. That was a splurge a few years ago from Anthropologie. I think they still sell them but I’ve seen cheaper versions other places. I do love it!!!! Thank you!!!!! 💕💕💕💕 I hope you have a great week too ☺️.

Yang terakhir itu Hoya Verticilata Endemik Lampung (Gunung Tanggamus). Sepertinya media Hoya terlalu lembab, tentu daun nya akan menguning 😭 Tapi msh bisa diselamat kan kok 🌱👍🍃

Is that high? I haven’t priced them recently. I just checked Etsy real quick and see unrooted cuttings still going for a lot of money some close to $100. Plants the size of what I got are around the same price $120+. That’s just checking Etsy though.

My question with getting free plants is do they have you sign a contract giving them rights to your video to use for advertising. Also how much does it cost you to film and edit a video as opposed to the cost of the plants. These companies would have to pay a lot more in advertising if going through RU-vid or anywhere else. I don’t order from companies that do these product giving to creators. It’s just my opinion

Nope! No contract with something like this. I get free plants and just unbox them for you. To me that’s totally worth it plus I get a video out of it. It can be difficult coming up with video ideas every week. As far as making the video/editing it only is my time which I would be doing anyways for that week. For me it’s totally worth it. So even though not all the plants might not make it (some of the Hoya), it’s still worth it for me. I’ve turned down A LOT of offers from companies, some that have nothing to do with plants. But rarely would I turn down free plants. Just one time I declined an import offer for succulents because it was for sansevieria and I didn’t feel I had room in my collection for a bunch of sansevieria.

Hi Gena, sorry to say that but it is really disappointing to see plants in such condition. Hoyas are extremely tired with transport and dehydrated. I imported plants several times from Indonesia directly to Europe and never experienced such problem. I have no idea how the company proceeds with "Quality checking process". Keep my finger crossed for successful rehab of those poor plants.

I’m pretty certain these missed the quality check. But who knows. It’s unfortunate and I’m sure not something they would have wanted to happen. Like I said, they seem like a good company but sometimes things happen. I can tell the Hoyas were nice when first packed. Thanks!!! 💚💚💚
