That is a really comprehensive pack and well presented. I didn't get a good look at the oxygen canula pack. Is it a throw away once it is opened, like a pack of toilet tank blocks or can it be re-packed for next time? It's all in the detail. If the weather there was too bad to fly - you could have gone somewhere with better weather. 😊
There is 5 oxygen cannulas and 5 oxygen masks. The cannulas are reusable but obviously mark mine and my wife’s so we reuse our own masks. I clean them with alcohol after each use. Also the weather cleared up the next day and have been flying it since. Thanks for watching.
@@rdakessian Hi, sorry. My bad. When you buy, for example scissors that are sealed in a plastic bubble pack, it has to cut or peeled open to get at the product inside. The package is then useless and must be thrown away. The canula package looks like that. I just thought that it would be a pity if that were the case given that the rest of the items are so well presented.
Thank you! The majority of people that i know who own airplanes like this one are or were successful business owners and some are executives of major corporations. It really isnt about the “industry” as much as how good you are “in the industry”.
Doctors/Entrepreneurs/Executives. I am an entrepreneur and i own a plane , also i am a pilot. its not that big deal. If you can afford a extra house or investment property, you can do this...plan about 3000 a month extra expense for your hobby and self rewarding.
Really interesting video, thanks. Just one bit of feedback if I may, about your audio recording. Don't know if you tweaked the EQ to boost high frequencies, but there was nasty sibilance (distortion when you make a 's' sound) that was going on. A bit painful on the ears.
They are different because they cone from different manufacturers but your right. Very easy for cirrus to request manufacturers to use a cirrus designed log book “look”
I'm as jealous as all hell! Love the 'remove before flight' on the tow bar. A bit like 'do not dry your pet in this microwave', but needless to say somebody won't remove it :-)
@@Swaggerlot well... you said “needless to say sombody wont remove it” (in the future tense) and i implied they probably placed the sticker because some body didnt remove it. Have a great day!!
@@rdakessian for a shop. And as I said earlier I love them. But lately I have seen a lot of problems with them. In the Last two months We have replace a great number of bad cylinders from this airplanes. Some people said that is due to the manufacture asking to run the engine lean. Loosing oil pressure during flight. Etc.
@@davvsqu3z724 sounds like maybe continental is having issues? Maybe using different vendors for their engine parts? Are you seeng this issue on turbos only? Idk. Im just guessing. I know someone whos getting a new engine on his brand new 22T. Found some cracked cylinders during the 50hr inspection.
@@rdakessian sadly I have seen the problem in both engines. However, the same engine in a different plane would no have the same issue. Also the crack that your friend’s engine might has to do whit new AD. They have to inspect every engines that were fabricated since 2014. The crack is in the exhaust pipe area.
Congratulations on the new wings! Guess I'll be seeing your airplane around! I work over at the F.C. and saw the Banner in the back of the hangar - recognized it right away!
After watching many plane videos, I finally realized the only way to realistically own a expensive plane such this one, is to own a business, but, then the next question is, what type of business to open?
IMHO starting a business not knowing what kind of business just to make a lot of money is the wrong reason to start a business. You will find yourself “chasing” the money and never catching it. A better approach, again in my opinion, is to do something you really really like doing and be the best at it. Then money will come to you.... and you’ll find that it wont feel like work. It will feel like fun because its something you like doing. That could be providing products, services or both. Good luck soul searching. When “it” comes to you, you’ll know. Then you dont let anything or anyone get in the way.
I actually got the transition training when i first got it. Then we flew it home and didnt fly it for about a week. Thats when i made this video back in September. Ive flown it for over 30 hrs since.
NovejSpeed3 thank you! G6 is Generation 6. The first models started with G1 and over the years when they made significant improvements would go to the next generation. Currently we are on Generation 6. The GTS is the SR22T flagship. Combines a number of available packages: a) Cirrus Executive, b) Cirrus Awareness, c) Cirrus Advantage, d) Certified Flight into Known Ice. Here is a link to the options page. cirrusaircraft.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/2020-SR22T-International-Pricelist.pdf
@@rdakessian oooooh I always thought the G6 was the high end model and the GTS was like the standard model. I got confused when I saw your plane and it looked like what I thought a G6 would be. Thanks for the new wrinkle in my brain!!!! Subscribed can't wait to see what adventures you take her on!
Congrats! Thank you for sharing. Would appreciate your observations / experiences on both ownership and operation going forward. Good luck and fly safe!
Haha. No, i hadnt thought of that but that works too! I had a bunch of tail#’s written on my desk looking for my birthday and initials but the closest one was N333RD. My daughter in law walking past my desk looking at the numbers upside down said “what’s that one say? NEEERD?” So i said “Thats the one. N333RD!! Lol
Great Video, I take possession of my SR22T this November, Did you buy the Starter Pac, I have heard from a few customers in the last month that they didn't receive the Starter pac, same question for the wheel chocks? thank you in advance
Congrats Mark! Its a great experience. You will love it. The. Starter pack was included with the plane but honestly i have never used it yet. No wheel chocks. Have fun, be safe. Where will you based out of?
@@markschussler567 sounds good. ha! You may be right. Thats another bag i never opened since that video. But now that i think about it there is a “Low profile” pair of chocks.
Really doesn’t matter. 99.9 I left my keys in my planes. I was more worried of loosing them then someone stealing the plane. There was only one airport I ever pulled them and locked the plane. Chicago Heights. South side of Chicago. Otherwise, I didnt care
@@rdakessian that's up to you to determine that risk. Look up Deviant Ollam on RU-vid and watch some of the talks he's done on physical security and decide for yourself if you think that's a likely vulnerability given any other security measures you might have in place.
@@jonwaddell3900 I came here to say the same thing. Just had a conversation 2 days ago with someone about the fact that everyone just leaves the keys in the plane. The main deterrent for a random person stealing it is they’d end up milking themselves. Even if a pilot would want to steal it, it would be so easy to track no one would get far.
I had a piper Dakota and really liked it. When i decided to upgrade I considered many pipers new and old from single to twins and everything in between. I kept defaulting back to CAPS. That was my deciding factor. (Added safety to my “passengers” (kids-grandkids) in the event of “pilot” (me) incapacitation.)
Beautiful plane. Congrats. My buddy just bought a 2006 model and i got a ride in it. He let me take it off and fly it. I didn’t dare land it. I loved it and can’t imagine what a spanking new one would be like. Tailwinds to you. Thanks for letting me dream via your video. Best, Don
Thanks Don. There are more than a few updates and upgrades from 2006 to 2020. Every time i fly it i discover a new feature. Its amazing. Thanks for watching.
I trained on and flew a Piper Dakota for 4 years before buying the SR22Turbo. As long as the 20 and 22 are the same generation, not much difference. However big difference between dakota and the sr22
Thank you. Ive had a chance to fly it a bunch since the video and its so sweet. I just got it first week of September. Its a 2020. Thanks for watching and check out some of my other videos a
It’s NEW! What year is it?? 2016 of course , what kind of question is that, sorry but I had to comment on that dumb questions, sorry to be so direct but maybe you should think before writing...
Robert, if you are making wondering unboxing you should pay attention how bloggers do it: make a stupid face, joke and say how hard you were working to purchase it and how long you waiting for it. :D.... it is joke ))) Seriously, I congratulate you with this great plane :D
Ha! Thanks. Im working on the quality of the videos and content... i think some of my newer ones are getting much better. (But im assuming you didnt catch my “funny” comment calling the pitot tube cover a pitot tube condom ? ) Lol Thanks for watching.
@@rdakessian yes I got it))) btw, sure you could make a transatlantic flight with this plane though Grendland. you also could fly to Europe. I plan to fly with plane from Moscow to France
@@tilsr2556 thats nice. Do you live in Moscow? Im planning a trip from chicago to Ushuaia. I will start with a short practice trip from chicago to Turks & caicos this month, then finish my IFR training and hopefully make the big trip next winter.
Its a great airplane. I paid a little more than i wanted but worth every penny. There are many variations of this plane with many different options. Contact your local Cirrus distributor for specific pricing.
Thank you. Prices vary based on options and configurations you choose. Payment methods depends on your budget and preference. Contact your territory sales rep for more info. Thanks for subscribing
Thank you. I got to Knoxville on a sunday. On monday morning they did the tour and delivery. Monday afternoon we did our first intro flight to make sure all the bells and whistles were working. And then 3 full days of training.... flight (about 9 hrs) , ground (about 3 hrs) , sim (about 2 hrs). Additionally a home study course of videos and a written quiz had to be completed ahead of picking up the plane.
@@rdakessian well, it seems that you are satisfied with the Client Support. That's reassuring. Ill take a closer look at their product. Best wishes for a long healthy relationship. Treat her well.
@@videopokernetwork6824 definitely. As a matter of fact i wasnt 100% confortable flying the plane back home after the training so they assigned a cfi to fly back with me. They also mades a CSIP available in chicago to hire for as long as i needed to (at my expense of course)
