Thell bell logo can be on the top or bottom as a brace. I like the bell logo on top feels sturdier

I've had three before this that were easier to intall (car were stolen with rack). This one is causing me lots of stress and has no side straps.

So I got the exact same rack model etc and only have 4 straps. Only lists 4 straps on the box. Am I missing something?

Many thanks for the video. Had it not been for this videos I would've thought this bike rack was not compatible with my 2 Door 2006 Honda Civic. I know this video is old but fuck everyone with negative comments. I think some people forget that beggers cannot be choosers sometimes.

I usually use a rope and tie it from to wheel to the bottom frame and tie it as tight as possible and the steering will not move at all

What is the top bar and plastic clip for?

Ed Piatek I don't think it is done right in the video. It's optional on how to use it based on the shape of your trunk or hatch back. It is supposed to be used on the trunk deck *under* the other bar, or if you don't want to use it, the clip holds it to the bar that goes down the back of the trunk so it doesn't flop around. Try both ways and see which geometry works with your car better. In the video, it's resting on top unsecured- it isn't meant to be used like that.
