It takes approximately 60-90 seconds depending on your heat settings and how far the platen is from the film. Roland now has a shaker/dryer unit for the BY-20!
It depends on the colors used, coverage, print quality, and size, but generally you can print around a full roll before needing to change the inks (minus white)
