Ohhhh yeah! Another fox body 90s Mustang for the collection.
GMP is probably one of the best model car companies that MADE American Muscle cars. Now, Greenlight Collectibles owns the name and they came up with this fox body Mustang similar to a previous Street Fighter line release.
I also have a 1991 Mustang (a "tie-in" to the TV Show Home Improvement) that it is an awesome casting with great details and I reviewed and rated highly. This is another "tie-in" with Detroit Speed and Engineering which seems to be an aftermarket parts outfit.
But how did this one fare?

I didn't realize I had this one in my collection until a few months ago. I have so many variations of the fox body that it's hard to remember what I have. Thanks for the review. I actually opened mine up after watching this.

My first car was an 88 LX 5.0 2 door ordered new from Total Ford in Toronto when I got out of school and started working. Had it 7 years and loved it. Still have a soft spot for the Foxes. If I had room for one beside the Duster I'd get another. Good review as always.

Another nice presentation! The one thing I didn't like was their wheel choice. Would have liked the factory stock 5-spoke rims.

In my case, the wheel choice and color actually caught my attention. Also, I have another "standard" fox body so that helps 😬💪

In late 2021 I ordered a 1990 black hatchback “Detroit Speed” as it said on the website. Months and months later after delays, she had arrived. It says “Custom” on the box. It’s black on black, has a supercharger and the exhaust ends just after the headers. Has red sway bars too. Same wheels but silver. It has seatbelts also. So obviously I’m thinking now it was a goof on the site but it doesn’t matter. It’s one of my prized ones. It was a compromise at the time as I really wanted the Cobra with the “turbine” wheels but they had waaayyy exceeded my price range. I really like yours too! The colour is great. One odd thing though are the “aqua” coloured upper and lower rad hoses, and where are your belts?? 🤔 Lol Another great post, look forward to the next one.

Thought the aqua colored details actually provided something "different". I've seen that black on black one but not too fond of black paint job basically because for some reason mine get rashes faster!! (I'm in the Caribbean so eventually all with get rashes lol). Anyway, these fox body 'stangs are pretty nice but somehow, yeah, this one is not tops!

Of all Mustang generations, this is the model I like the least...actually, I don't like it at all, as I cannot find the relation between this design and the one from the classic Mustang. But the color of the model car is nice and I really like those rims 😁👍

Lol I hear you. There's actually quite a few people that don't like this gen at all. And, oh yeah, if I had a choice of a classic 60/70s Mustang vs a fox body, pretty sure I'd go classic. Thanks!

Excellent model. I don't mind the fox body at all. This GMP seems to be of similar quality to the Autoart later generation Mustangs. Would you agree?

Sadly, don't have any AutoArt Mustangs but they look good. AA excels in interior and engine details so pretty sure they look good. If you have a Mustang recommendation from AA, let me know. Thanks!

The Autoarts I find comparable to this GMP are the fourth generation mustangs. I don't own any of those, but I've seen the pictures and they look similar in terms of quality and level of detail. I have the 1968 GT and the 1971 Mach 1 by Autoart (not the ones I was talking about). They are a step up from these and I recommend them - but not for the prices they go for today.
