I have lots of Kobalt tools and really like them. Our lowes doesn't carry them as much since they are also carrying Craftsman. Always happy with my Kobalt stuff!

I have the kobalt platform as well. They are really great tools I use them for both work and for home projects. That angle grinder doesn’t look bad

Doesn't exactly cut like butter but I would have not wanted to cut those locks with a hacksaw. All kidding aside, the grinder really did a nice job. Time for me to get, "Yet another Kobalt 24 volt cordless tool !" I'm getting a collection of these things. The way I'm going I'm going to have one of each. I already doubled up on their 1/4" impact and two each drills. Nice video. Thanks for posting. Barry

The cutting disc I got with the kit says MASONRY. Looks like you may have the same one. It's not meant for cutting metal such as those locks. I did try mine on some aluminum and it worked but chewed up the disc pretty quick😋

I'm pretty sure mine said metal on it. I used it numerous times on metal no issues. I got more later at Northern Tool.

@@RidgeLife So it looks like they changed what comes with the kit in the last couple of years. I wish mine had come with a metal disc!

Thanks for the demo! I know it has been a couple of years, but was the cutting disk you used on the lock the one that came with it? My one included cutting disk was labeled for masonry. Yours obviously got through the lock but just wanted to know if that was a metal-labeled disk you used. Thanks!

I just bought into the kobalt 24v system, but am going to have to pass on this grinder. And this is just a personal issue, but I absolutely despise paddle triggers on my angle grinders. Oh, if only they would just give it a proper on/off switch, right next to my right thumb, as the good lord intended!
