I bought one years ago in a sale of a shop that sold movie memoribilia and went out of business. It was rather cheap, i payed around €120 if i remember right. They also had a cool rusty looking sword of the King Ringwraith. After a week or so i did regret i didn’t buy it so i went back but i was 2 days too late. Shop was already closed....

I'm sure that just as any other blade, you can sharpen it with a rock. It is simply dulled!

U can sharpen this, but it will ruin it. It’s a stainless steel blade. Completely useless when u start swinging it. It can poke. That’s about it. It will break very quickly and easily.

@@megajayretro mine is just a pastime to have fun and do something with my son. apart from the cinematic swords, like Anduril, orcrist, Bilbo's sword that I do not know what it's called in English, the Spartan sword of the movie 300, the two swords of Conan the barbarian, Skyrim daedrica, etc .. I like even the real historical swords like the ancient Greek sword, the Roman one called Gladio where there are three different types. I find something that inspires me and time and I go .... then for example I'm making a double-sided ax Viking. I'm innocent fun, I'm sorry for how I write, English is not my mother tongue, greetings.

I really would like to see your work sometime marcoferro! I am a huge sword lover! My favourite movie is Conan the Barbarian, so the Atleantian Sword and Fathers sword are two of my favourite swords EVER! I also have a replica Thundercats Sword which I had commissioned. I've always wanted a He-Man Axe, so I know your Double-sided Viking Axe will look amazing! Thanks again Marcoferro!

Such a large stainless steel blade shouldn’t really be swung. The weight and momentum of the swing could cause the base of the tang to snap or worse...if u hit something with the middle part of the blade and it was traveling fast enough the tip could break off and fly into something/someone.

@@megajayretro The swinging in this video is far more than I would ever do with any replica sword. I more so meant literally just moving it from side to side. But after watching that video, I would scarcely want to pick the replica up.

@@DigitalVanquish Wall hangers is the term most collectors use as these should only be moved from location to location, no "swinging" of any kind if possible. But other than that they're great to look at! They are more than strong enough to pick up and admire, so no worries there.

Unfortunately @Sweenes, I think ebay might be the ONLY choice right now. I don't know if there were any other "official" licensed replica's. I did a quick Google Search for "Andruil Replica" and a few online retailers "claim" to have stock but I'd do research and try to contact them about the sword before ordering. Also if it is a "United Cutlery" replica, make sure you get the box and try to get it for under $300 (just my opinion). I wish you luck @Sweenes, finding one for a good price! what i know is that most of lord of the rings sword was made from Philippines. because my father was one of the blacksmith that made those sword. the owner of the shop was fathers childhood friend.

Hello and thanks for your review ! I received it for my birthday and i love it ! I juste have a question, did you notice some impacts ? Some imperfections especially on the guard ? I think its normal thanks !!!

Great to hear you were able to get Anduril for your birthday P.Thomas! I'm not really sure what you mean by impacts, out of the box everything seemed fine with mine. Are there any indications of Nik's that you're speaking of or damage to the blade? In terms of the guard I also didn't notice any impacts. But as always certain things might look different between each version of the sword. I do caution you not to use the blade in mock combat as it really will not be able to withstand repeated strikes, And the blade itself is very fragile and prone to snapping when swung around. I hope you enjoy your birthday gift it's really something special!

Absolutely! I wouldn't DARE swing this around. I talked about my buddy who nearly got hit by a samurai sword while filming a movie. The tang snapped right off, it was scary! 😱

hello and thank you for this review. I have a question, over time, do marks appear on the guard? the sword rests on 2 hooks and I'm afraid, that over time, the hooks mark the guard of the sword

Hi Thomas Thanks for watching my review I really appreciate it! The official wall hanger plaque has two hooks yes, but they are covered with transparent rubber protectors. So absolutely no harm comes to the guards! If you were on the fence about hanging it have no fear 😁

Hùng Vương a stainless steel blade like that will not wobble a lot (or at all). It’s very rigid. A real blade or spring steel, which costs 10x times the price of this will wobble.

@@Will-nn3pb It is like with all brandings: If you want an item like it was seen on screen, there shouldn't be a branding. If you want an item that is like if it comes directly from Middle Earth, there wouldn't be a branding, either. It is just like with some of the stuff from Star Wars or Harry Potter: Luke would never have a lightsaber that reads STAR WARS somewhere, and Voldemort would note have Harry's name on his wand. xD A real Gryffindor Badge from the real wizards' world would not read "Gryffindor™". Brandings make such beautiful items just less "real".

No. This is just a stainless steel wall hanger. 95% of LotR replicas are. The replicas that are weapon quality you'll pay a good chunk of change for.

Yes this is made of Steel, but its Stainless Steel and very brittle. It wouldn't be able to withstand any actual combat. But it can do damage as any item can do.

Hi M Doctor, there is a False Edge, just slightly sharp, but no real danger of cutting yourself. Sorry Devon Quinlan, I've never heard of that website. Actually it's been a while since I've collected swords and I haven't really been looking at new blades lately so I really can't recommend anything at this time. My recommendation is to look up reviews on that site and see if they're reputable. I know United cutlery no longer has the license for Lord of the rings, so just be careful when shopping around. I wish you the best of luck if I hear anything I'll try to let you know 😊
