The increased gold for trade was another officially recommended rules update from the designer/publisher that I've always played with. I also recommend that rule even with the base game.

Thanks and great to know! It was a strategy/tactic to get rid of the heavy industries once you no longer needed those - which you can still do of course. I have played this game like 20 times or so and honestly never came to the problem with what the patent tries to solve actually… I do see that the expansion is dealing with some changes; the extra engineer at the start and the proper „price“ for higher tier trades is definitely a good change.

No English and minimal German text. Amazon Germany has it, so don't deny yourself as the expansion and solo mode are highly regarded.

Indeed - the text on the cards is really minimal, it's almost language independent; apart from the rules of course.

I still believe this is a rumor. Almost certain that KOSMOS and Thames will pick it up, but it took a while for the base game as well.

At least right now. The English version for the base game also came quite late as far as I can remember.
