I was an African Cichlid guy for years but once I swapped to SA & Central American Cichlids - I never looked back! The American South & Central Cichlids are the best overall! I have a SA Cichlid only tank at the moment.
I love my CA/SA tank you probably will to. The way they greet you and stare at you with those fishy puppy eyes. lol. Those are definitely some beautiful fish those colors wow. I have ordered from imperial tropicals before they haven’t disappointed me. All fish arrive alive and well. Congratulations on the new journey I can’t wait to see what’s next for you guys.
I love all the new happenings for the Brothers. Wow, when you came back to show us the vieja after the few days, their colors. Very beautiful fish. I love these guys. They have so much personality and more on the mild side. And the way they color up is amazing. Of course they're cichlids at the end of the day but nowhere near as bad as a Black Belt or Fenustrata. And they don't splash you whenever you're feeding them like Oscars. A colony of these will look amazing. If you can, grab some melanurus from Lago peten. Same name but the colors are just that much more unique. Good luck with the new project!

A beautiful and hardy Central American cichlid. I had a few of them at one time in a 300g tank and they will get large and keep their color. The flooring you guys used is on point. Nice job.
Definitely missing the predator haps..I Hope they find a good owner just like u. New vieja cichlids are good bro..looking forward for the new additions to the tank.
Hell yea get you a big long log type style drift wood and some bigger/medium round rocks and your set P.S you should get a pearsei cichlid just one tho and grow him out

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 2 months since the flood. I think the basement looks great. The tile works well with the rug and furniture. I was surprised to see how much color your fish gained in only one day. Will you be adding plants or driftwood to their aquarium?
