Three brothers (Alec, Quinn, & Troy) with a variety of aquariums, primarily keeping cichlids.
We have aquariums focusing mostly on freshwater and cichlids; but we touch on some Saltwater aspects of the hobby as well. Stocking includes all types of fish, but primarily South American, Central American, and African cichlids. We will be posting content related to our experiences, fish-keeping tips, equipment reviews, species profiles, behind the scenes tours, and more!
We are constantly growing and upgrading our setups, as well as showcasing amazing aquarium content from across the country.
We also offer aquarium consulting. Please reach out to the email address below if you'd like a quote:
In my opinion, they all suck up the substrate. Just don’t let it touch the very bottom. However, I use a much bigger pump which is really over kill. I let it touch the bottom all the time.
I’ve heard the Denison barb like higher flow, which can be a problem for the angelfish because of their build. Any tips for creating a happy medium or will the Denison be okay without a wavemaker ?
Hey cichlid bros I was just wondering how you felt on a flowerhorn in a 55 gallon tank, that’s what I have 1 of mine in and he does fine I was just wondering if it was ok
Ah the yellow lab, one of my favorite cichlids^^ I have no experience with keeping cichlids but I enjoy researching them, and from what I’ve read they’re probably the best lake Malawi cichlid species to start out with
Do fish/sealife etc. ever get fat? I just had a thought of how someons could know how much to feed them, and I've never seen an obvious "overfed" ray 😅 But I guess there's already research been done on how they eat in the wild, isn't there?
When I used to house Central and South American cichlids, I had different species of Viejas and really enjoyed watching them. I even had a V bi bimaculatum. That was 13” 🙌
