Often labeled as "the World's BEST Pencils" the Blackwing Audition pencil box include all four types of their lead pencils. The Blackwing Matte is very soft between a 4B to 6B soft lead feel. It has a very dark black shade. The Blackwing Pearl is called their balanced graphite. It is a dark grey with almost black shading. The Blackwing 602 is the original, classic favorite with firm graphite. The Blackwing natural feels a lot like a regular pencil or for very light sketching to pair with watercolors. It’s a very light grey.

The regular orange palomino pencils used to be cheaper and basically the same. Seems like they stopped making those. They came in all the different B grades.

It’s true but also everything was cheaper before they were bought out and pre pandemic

@@2tinytreasures Palomino was bought out? I didn't know that. Crap! I don't see a huge change in price yet though(on the Blackwings). I was talking about the regular "Palomino" pencils. Not the Blackwings.
